  1. I keep thinking the exact same thing. But I've been trying to think what they could do different with the set, because I think the chances of LEGO releasing an identical set just with different minifigures has a slim to none chance of happening. Personally, I can see the value in an identical set, but just don't think it would happen.
  2. Oh yes!!! I would LOVE to see Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff Quidditch uniforms. Would much prefer they weren't exclusive to Diagon Alley though. It would cost a FORTUNE to make a team! :-D My apologies if i've been posting too many replies. I'm having to settle with "talking" about LEGO since I can't "build" any. I was so excited for Junes releases, but then it turned out nothing outside Friends, City, Hidden Side and Dots were actually being released in June in Australia. Rofl.
  3. In the middle of the street! :-D I'm seriously so happy with what LEGO has done with this theme. If we get Padma and Parvati and the weasley twins as we are all hoping/predicting I would be 100% satisfied after only 3 years if this was the last wave (Definitely not predicting or hoping this is the case). There's the odd side character missing, but on the whole we already have basically every main character you could think of! It's AWESOME! :-D Oops, forgetting, Lockhart and Rita aren't confirmed in anything yet! :-D
  4. I want to cry every morning I get up and lego.com.au still says "coming soon" for the Burrow and Student Packs! :'(
  5. Thank you. This is all I was asking for. Please don't disagree with me asking for people to treat each other with respect. And if it's a UK issue that I have no place in having an opinion on. Then it should not be being brought up in a worldwide LEGO forum.
  6. Little bit bigger would be nice though! :-D I kind of imagine something like the Indiana Jones escape set but with like a Batcave transformation type set up at the start. So there is a small upper level with small decorations and fluffy which drops down to the lower levels with vines and plant pieces representing devils snare on the way down. Then at the bottom it's more like the indiana jones set with a door leading to keys (In place of IJ Ball Room), door through to chess (In place of IJ Tile Room), and then finally through to the mirror (In Place of IJ Idol Room). I think this would look super fun. But I am a little biased as that Indiana Jones set is one of my all time favourite sets. You could also get your Torso variations here in a Batcave type change over (Might have to be a little more enclosed with devils snare stickers/pieces around the transformation chamber for this scenario). Trio go into the trap door with Fluffy in regular costumes and pop out the bottom with torn up outfits and scratched faces (may be a little early, but who cares). With Quirrel it would be 7 figs and fluffy if you did this. Not unreasonable for my proposed set size either! :-D
  7. I reckon this is almost the perfect template for an awesome Philosophers Stone Set: https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?S=7623-1#T=S&O={"iconly":0} It's the Indiana Jones Temple Escape set for anyone who doesn't want to look at the link.
  8. Politics and what people say really need to stay out of this thread, because there are two sides to every political argument. Just because some people disagree with what J.K. Rowling has said, doesn't mean there aren't others, thinking, finally someone has come out and said something opposing the current political fads. We live in a stupid society right now where the general population backs some political agenda and anything they say is praised, and anything on the other side if the fence is treated as heresy. People are different, and people have different views. There is nothing wrong with that. People are crying out for people to be respected and treated with dignity, but forget to treat the opinion of people with opposing views with the same respect and dignity. That's why I feel this thread should stick to LEGO because it's the one thing everyone enjoys and agrees on. I apologise for my small rant. I am not siding with anyone. Just getting a little sick of our society that seems to be unable to remember that people can "agree to disagree". Just because someone believes or feels different to you, does not make them WRONG! So... LEGO??? :-D
  9. Has anyone in Australia gained any sort of update on what's going on with the sets release in Australia? Especially wondering about the Burrow and Student Pack. Just wondering if anyone has spoken to or heard from support or anything as to potential availability or anything. :-)
  10. I always go for the feel method and will continue this year, especially considering the current global circumstance has pretty much subsided in Australia. So not really afraid of the shops. Only made 3 feeling mistakes since series 3 when I started (one of which I was pretty sure wasn't what I thought. But I didn't care). I've ended up with 7 copies of Percival Graves. I didn't even scalp them at the start, been finding them in the months and years since released. Found 2 of them just 3 weeks ago in half empty boxes at my local ebgames! :-)
  11. Wasn't so much a proposal. Lol. I just though someone asked what else they could do as a UCS and i remembered that stadium and thought a quidditch pitch could be cool. I'm in no way opposing the idea of Diagon Alley, which I really, really hope is coming our way. :-) Would soften my regret of not getting the original one. Can still picture it on the shelf in Target! Rofl. At least i got Fred and George on Bricklink for less than $10 Australian before the prices sky rocketed! :-D
  12. What about like a UCS Quidditch Pitch (Or stadium or whatever they call it) in the vain of something like this: https://www.lego.com/en-au/product/old-trafford-manchester-united-10272 Not saying I would want that. Just an idea of something that could be done as a UCS. Not that they've ever gone this way with the theme before. But I think Weasley Wizard Wheezes would be an EPIC corner modular set! :-D Like the Ninjago city set (Still regretting not getting that). They expanded that too with the Ninjago docks. Could do a similiar thing with diagon alley. It would be awesome, but very disproportionate to the Hogwarts displays (either micro or minifig scale ones).
  13. Knew that would happen. I've now missed out on the free LEGO Hotrod set I was going to get with my Astronomy Tower and Student Pack because stupid LEGO can never get their act together with Australian release dates! :-( Sorry, just getting a bit frustrated a week after it was supposed to be available it still says "coming soon".
  14. Realistacally though, none of LEGO's snakes look like LEGO. It always blew me away that the old LEGO snakes are weaved basically in the shape to go around studs. But that they just don'! Lol. Are there actually any LEGO snakes compatible with LEGO? Rofl. Just had a look and there is a cobra from the CMF and maybe one weird looking one from Ninjago.
  15. I'm pretty sure it's just leaks of the regular June-December 2020 Catalogue that I assume should be out soon. If that's the case, then the answer to your question is that yes, they were in last years catalogue as you can see at the following link: https://catalogs.lego.com/BrandCatalog/2hy2019/aus/?page=92 This is just my assumption as that's what the current leaks look like they are from. I'm not hugely in the know, but I have not seen pics of the harry potter pages. One person told me they have. But I can't find it anywhere.
  16. I had thought that was what people might have been going off. But they way people were talking was as though the actual Harry Potter pages had leaked from the catalogue. But I can see how nothing being uploaded might imply there is nothing new to show.
  17. Sorry, but what aspect of the catalogue is the proof kingnono is wrong? Just looked through LEGO Leaks and didn't see anything Harry Potter, so just wondering what i'm missing? :-)
  18. I can't explain the LEGO store side of things, but im pretty sure when we finally see the LEGO catalogue we are going to see a nice big note over the set saying "new in July". It happened with Ninjago early this year. January 1st the Ninjago set were stated to be released on the LEGO website and they were, but the catalogue said Feb and all the retail stores got it in Feb. I'd put money on "July" being the official release date for Australia. It would just be nice if they were upfront about their release schedules. Like i said before... We should have a June catalogue in June (or before), not just seeing the first leaks.
  19. Of course! Lol. I just bought Anakins Jedi Interceptor off Gumtree a couple of months ago! Rofl. Does anyone here know or remember when the 2nd Half Year catalogues are normally released? I mean they are a June to December catalogue. Why aren't they out slightly in advance of the month they relate to?
  20. All good. Wasn't really upset, just feeling that initial letdown you feel when you were so excited about something and then it doesn't happen. Eurobricks is my therapy! Haha! Still no sign of Burrow and Student pack so will need to keep an eye out for them. But thought i'd bite the bullet and buy the other 4 sets on Amazon. Their prices are pretty close to what I would have payed at Kmart. Now it's just a wait and see as to how soon they get stock. But at least Amazon uses much faster shipping than LEGO. I've got packages from shonky little shacks in China faster than my past LEGO parcels have arrived (Not even talking initial release month purchases)! Rofl.
  21. Thank you Sammy! :-D On a hopefully brighter not for Australians, Amazon has listed the sets recently and slightly discounted too. Over the 4 main sets (Excluding the burrow and the bird) you'll save nearly $50. Says temporarily out of stock. But might be worth a shot?
  22. Still confused if this is the issue why they had been able to get stock into LEGO brand stores if their warehouses are bare? Besides as I said earlier, many, many other companies have had no issues meeting their release dates. Also it's natural to experience disappointment when something you've looked forward to doesn't transpire, it does not mean that people are impatient. Other people share their excitement of being able to order their sets, whats wrong with others sharing they feel disappointed they can't? Everyone is just sharing their thoughts and feelings on LEGO. :-)
  23. Why does he have a tree growing out of his back? Also baffles me that your local LEGO store has those sets when LEGO online store doesn't. Makes no sense to me.
  24. I did the same thing. But unfortunately the burrow and student packs never came out in Australia. Only update we've had is that LEGO changed the status from "Coming Soon 1st June 2020" to "Coming Soon". :-D
  25. 4 Unavailable Sets + 3 Out of Stock Sets = 0 sets available to buy! Rofl.
