I don't get it myself. Whenever a movie is set for release date, it is in store, online, everywhere the day it is released if not earlier. Same with video games, Music, Books... Why is it so hard for LEGO to have their products on shelves on release date???
-
Not really. 4 sets are still unavailable and 3 of them are out of stock! Lol. All good though. Just learned to temper my expectations when it comes to LEGOs delivery of their products! Lol.
-
It really sucks!!! I hardly ever buy from LEGO.com. And one of the few times I was planning to and waited up eagerly til midnight to order the sets, The two damn sets I wanted still aren't available! :-/ I was soo looking forward to buying SOMETHING today! :'(
-
Yeah, was starting to get the feeling that, that might be the case. But i'm pretty sure they normally come out in July everywhere here. So I was kind of surprised we kept hearing June. Looks to be the same case for the Jurassic World sets of which i'd like a couple of too. I was soo excited about June. But at least I still have the command and conquer remaster and pokemon expansion to look forward to in June! :-D

Does anyone in Australia know what's going on with the release date here? Is LEGO keeping these exclusive for a month and retailers not getting them til July or something? Because nowhere has them listed, and the few private online stores i've seen have estimated dates of July. I was so excited to get all the sets soon. But looks like I might only be getting the Burrow and Student pack for now as i'm not paying LEGO store prices for everything. That's like an extra $100.

I feel like the smugness and not explaining is in line with his character. I think if he tried to explain himself would seem more out of character! Lol.
-
Maybe not. But it does come across with confidence. So who knows. All we can do is wait and see. I guess i'm just happy to let it play out a little further. I'm personally happy to wait for a little further evidence before I burn the witch! :-D Like I said, not disagreeing, just trying to be a little positive! :-D Just feel like it's not going to hurt me either way. One way I get some cool sets, the other way I got lots more money in the bank! ;-)

I don't know why... maybe i'm just a trusting person, or a fool, or something. Lol. Maybe it's because I just watched knives out with all the twists and turns. Lol. But I still kind of feel like he might be legit and that there is just something that we are missing! :-) I don't know anything personally, just trying to give someone the benefit of the doubt! :-D Just to clarify, I am not disagreeing or arguing with anyone's opinions and I am also happy to be completely wrong. Just don't like writing people off over one mistake! :-)

I think they both look good, but at least the second way my Sheriff can have his mustache back! :-D I did grab flitwick to try, but realised that it had glasses which didn't really fit.
-
They aren't lying around. Lol. Stolen from other themes I don't have currently displayed. The legs were spare (and generic), the torso is from Frodo which I have multiple of, The moustache is from CMF Series 13 Sherriff, The head is from a force awakens battle pack and the hat is from a Naboo trooper. :-) But i'm pretty happy with him. Might invest in the head, hat and torso from Bricklink.

Slightly different topic... But does anyone have any particular ideas or suggestions on a potential driver for the hogwarts express? Either an existing figure or a CMF. Just been looking at my train and again feeling a bit put off that the cabin is empty. :-)
-
I would 100% prefer a moulded one myself. But I like any "characters" to be moulded. So i'll put my vote on that! :-) Depending on the size of the set they could do a grid 8x8 of the 2x2 black and white tiles with the studs and then use micro figures and the figures they use for the LEGO "Board Games" for the pieces. That would definitely represent the scene. You are never going to get a full scale version. That would be massive.

So glad you mentioned Harry, Luna and Trelawney being valuable. Decided to go down to the ebgames store I talked about this morning and they still had one and a half boxes of Harry Potter CMF still. I could only be bother feeling through half of them, but left with 2 Percival Graves, 2 Lunas, 1 Pyjamas Harry, 1 Trelawney and a Tina Goldstein (I wanted the last one). Not too bad a haul for $48 AUD (Ebgames charges $6 a figure, so a little more expensive, but worth it).
-
Valid point! :-) I was more checking I was right in my understanding the the head was actually slightly different as I thought it was. Not trying to have a go at peoples complaints. I personally got several Cho's quite easily when they came out and being several years ago now, it doesn't really sting me much. I'm happy with the new head though because it means I can use one side for each of the patil twins and they will finally have matching eyebrows! :-D Australian LEGO site (where I am from) has the burrow listed as June 1st. I think people just said the reason is that it's initially a LEGO exclusive.

I'm normally pretty easy going and accepting that if LEGO says it's something, then I accept it. But that basilisk was just waaaaayyyy too hideous for me.
-
Also, just thought, how awesome would it be if they made a bird cage accessory. That would be epic!
-
Got a Basilisk! Bwahaha! :-D I got a couple of spare black pieces in my grand hall set! :-D

Am I remembering correctly that there was a rumored harry potter gift with purchase set supposed to be coming? Really hoping it comes out either with this wave or with the D2C. I don't purchase from LEGO much so i'm really hoping I can get it with either the Burrow or D2C if it exists. Also I noticed a few people complaining that Cho's head is identical to the CMF, but it's only one side that is the same right? The CMF was only a one sided face I think. Can't really check as it's the middle of the night and trying to get a toddler to sleep in his own bed! :-) I'm personally okay with the odd reused faces such as Hannah Abbott. To be honest with the details in a LEGO face there isn't a lot you can do to differentiate between two female characters without facial hair or other distinguishing features such as scars etc. Maybe i'm just easily pleased, but if LEGO says that I have Hannah Abbott, then it's Hannah Abbott, regardless of whether it's using Fleur's face or McGonagall's face! :-D

Let's just say the CMF and DA turn out exactly as we are anticipating and we get the CMF figures on the packet, Lockhart, Lucius, Pomfrey, Fred, George, Crabb Goyle, Rita etc. It's starting to feel like we have a pretty complete roster. Just wondering what main characters you guys still think we will be missing? Narcissa and maybe Karkaroff pop into my head, but can't really think of many others. Just wondering aside from rather obscure side characters who you think are still missing? :-)

I find it so easy to collect all the minifigures I want now. When it reaches the release date I start checking both the Kmart and Target websites every morning to check and see if my local store has stock. I do this every time and i've been the first person to the box every time for years. It's so nice! :-D Had no problems getting all the series 20 minifigures even amidst the whole coronavirus craziness! :-D Just waiting to see the listings for the harry potter set now! :-D
-
Geez, it's funny that people are finding it so hard to find the harry potter minifigures. I know the ebgames store in the shopping centre where I live still has over half a box of these figures left that has been sitting there for years. I know i've seen them in a couple of other places around as I remember thinking that I can't believe these are still around. But I don't exactly remember where the other places were. But yeah, definitely still seen a few around in Tasmania (Australia). Normal series seem to fly off the shelves here, but licensed sets hang around for a long time.
-
I was really lucky, I ended up with 4 of him. First and second ones I found in one full box and a near empty box (really surprised by that one) and then I stumbled across two more looking for extra trio figures for customs.

I was reading the harry potter building the magical world book last night and was thinking just how much ginny was given the cold shoulder in the original waves. She only had two figures in the whole series (might have been a yellow one too, but I can't remember). But given she is a recurring character throughout the entire franchise, and could appear in any wave. She is constantly skipped. I mean she becomes harry's wife for goodness sake! :-D
