  1. Wonderful! In the building I like the arches at the windows and the gate, the decorations, the roof ………. The landscape is also very well built, especially the water. I like the watchtower on the rock with the 2 monkeys, it looks fun. Sorry it's only 1 monkey, I didn't see it exactly because I wasn't wearing my glasses.
  2. Thank you for the compliments and good tips. I didn't notice the main and mizzen mast before. Looking from above, I could have seen that they are too far forward. You are right just "good for a ..." is not enough for me. I'll do better on the next ship. Thank you for the compliments. The space for positioning props minifigures and cannons was the reason to build a custom hull. I also remember the Styrofoam ships. They were a lot of fun. Thank you for the compliments. I've seen some great ideas for building. Thank you for the compliments. Building a custom hull is much more difficult, but the ship looks more realistic. A good challenge. Thank you for the compliments and the photo. I will also taper the hull towards the stern on my next ship.
  3. Many Thanks. Maybe a little too wide for this ship. 4 : 1 is good for a galleon. I like galleons better than ships of the line. I like the width. Finally, there is enough space to load the cannons. I have to make the next ship a little longer. Of course, I also try to improve the hull. The angles can be adjusted very easily with real bricks. After a few minutes the angles are correct. With digital it's horror! You have to move other bricks beforehand and then adjust them again. 6th rate (but Brethren of the Brick Seas Class 7, a nice frigate) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rating_system_of_the_Royal_Navy The rigging is much easier with real bricks. I had to adjust a lot to make it work. A digital ship should also look good. When I build with real bricks, I adapt the masts to the sails (I already have the sails).
  4. Many Thanks. Great Lego Scale Converter! It is not modeled after a particular real world ship. I looked at many ships on the internet and then built my own. 24 studs. The deck is from the aft to the forward yellow railing 86 studs (included railing), at the feet of figurehead 97 studs (without figurehead). Total length 110 studs. The waterline is 80 studs. The ship has around a length to width ratio of 4 : 1. That would go well with a galleon. I have to practice a little first before I can build a galleon. Many Thanks. I will correct the mistakes on the next ship. Many Thanks. Yes, Tobago might be the name of the next ship. Many Thanks. I alternately stuck the tiles straight to the 11211 bricks and then offset them underneath. The tiles are then overhanging. I don't understand myself what I've written in English (Google Translate). (German: Ich habe die Fliesen abwechselnd zu den 11211 bricks gerade und dann darunter versetzt gesteckt. Die Fliesen sind dann überhängend.) Many Thanks. A custom hull is the way to go. I will keep working on it to make it even better. This makes the ship wider and more realistic.
  5. Great idea and a beautiful and extraordinary ship.
  6. Class 7 TRI 09 by Philippe, auf Flickr My first attempt with a custom hull. I like that the hull is wider. I'm still not entirely satisfied with the side of the hull and the deck. I had to improvise a lot to make it fit somehow. It's not bad for the first ship with a custom hull. 7. Very beautiful photos. The scenario is so good that even the angular, square tree trunks don't bother me. I like the colorful landscape with the trees, the river and the water mill. Looks good as you Lady Cora have placed on the tree. The square tree trunks look a little better with those round upside down donut tiles.
  8. Great story and photos. The little outpost is varied and interesting.
  9. Nice beach scenario. I like the many plants. The story gets interesting with the Lotii.
  10. Very beautiful! I like the colored building and the many different trees. The monkeys look funny.
  11. The shrine on the rock face looks nice.
  12. I like the angled stage with the curtain. The crocodile story and the faces of the minifigures are funny.
  13. Thank you, the improvements are good. Many Thanks. You're right I thought so too. Fortunately, I haven't built the other 2 with real bricks yet.
  14. Nice house and colorful landscape. The deer look funny.
  15. It looks impressive. I like the self-made hull. I'll try that too once.
  16. Many Thanks. Maybe I'll build it. I already have the sails. Many Thanks. I try to improve and correct mistakes. Many Thanks. Much that I build is similar but not identical.
  17. I like the 3 colored leaves of the palm trees. The landscape is perfectly built. It looks funny how the children are playing soldiers.
  18. Another MOC from the 21322 Barracuda Ship. Class 7 heavy frigate Venezia 05 by Philippe, auf Flickr My first Barracuda Frigate had too many flaws and things that I didn't like. That's why I rebuilt this one. Venezia 06 by Philippe, auf Flickr The bug was completely changed. Venezia 07 by Philippe, auf Flickr The gradations and Tetris curves for the cannons remain. Venezia 13 by Philippe, auf Flickr The deck only has 3 levels. Before it was 7 and I was annoyed when I wanted to place something on the deck. Venezia 09 by Philippe, auf Flickr Ship railing now has no Tetris levels. Venezia 12 by Philippe, auf Flickr The masts and rigging were built more realistically. Venezia 11 by Philippe, auf Flickr For the sails I will use fabric ones. I only built it from Lego bricks so that the photos are more interesting. Venezia 10 by Philippe, auf Flickr A ship only comes to life with minifigures. Therefore, a crew that is ready for boarding. Some pirates have bottles-grenades. 19. I like the little hut on the rock over which a bridge leads to the main building. It goes together and looks great.
  20. Interesting story. It looks good how the various scenes were photographed.
  21. Interesting story. I like the various buildings on the rocks.
  22. I congratulate all winners and thank everyone who took part. I understand what you mean. @CapOnBOBS has explicitly asked beforehand if digital builds are permitted. He didn't do anything wrong. He was hardworking and enjoyed building. Digital builds also allow people who have few bricks to take part in the competition. Otherwise, only people with many bricks can win. One could ban digital build in a competition, or could make a compromise at the next competition and stipulate that 1 digital build is allowed per participant. I think so nobody is disadvantaged and everyone is satisfied.
  23. Very good idea and interesting story. I like the way station it is similar to a castle.
  24. Nice house, I like the color combination. The creek with the bridge makes the landscape more beautiful.
  25. Welcome Abdul and Yasmina to Poppy Port! Great start! I like the color combinations. I like the view from inside the building. I particularly like the fountain.
