  1. After valiantly gathering supplies, Lieutenant Karlton ordered the creation of the settlement's first bakery, properly named "The Boat's Bisket". While most of the Marines were familiar with the twice baked biscuits served on long sea voyages, as they had consumed it over the past few weeks. However, in addition to Karlton's skill with the more ungentile musket, a year-long stay in Oleon at his uncle's Boulangerie had taught him the finer points of baking the 'long bread'. Karlton was of course a loyal Corlander, and considered the food one of Oleon's few reputable qualities! While Karlton was quick to establish rain catchments and source food from local wildlife, he took it upon himself to establish a more enjoyable source of nourishment for the settlement. With time, a shack was constructed and quickly pressed into service using the flour brought with them. 2. Congreve Rockets are still good right?
  3. It’s very reminiscent of the classic town theme, but as said before, incorporates many newer aspects, great work!
  4. I recommend Stephen Biesty's Cross-Sections Man-of-War, gives a fairly insightful look of life and design of a 1st rate, also try some of the british maritime museum's archives, you might find something...
  5. Newest WIP, the stern is quite clunky and seems off, but I like hull so far. 10 Gun brig as of now but I might add a bow chaser... (also taking name suggestions) https://www.flickr.com/photos/187742871@N04/shares/50c4ea
  6. I love Bernard Cornwell’s books, however I’d say Karlton is far less of a rogue than Sharpe!
  7. I might do that, I haven’t licensed it in any way so that might work!
  8. Great work, I've seen that tent before in your builds, works really well
  9. Not only is the armament far superior in terms of penetration, shot weight, and the quality of cannon itself, the range of the heavier guns should have battered the Lotiis from a safe distance. But as it was said previously, the way the game is balanced so that no ship is undefeatable...
  10. Great work! It's small, but serves its purpose well.
  11. Great work on the buildings, really like the pastel colours!
  12. 32 pounder gunports are fairly large, perhaps they got in though there? Quite unconventional, and with a Royal Marine detachment of at least 140-60 privates and 11-13 officers (using HMS Victory's crew of a 106 gun 1st rate adjusted for 134 guns) shooting down on them, which in the 1770s would be half of a line regiment (approx 360 privates or a company in the Napoleonic Wars where there were about 2000 men in a regiment). The seamen of various trades would number around 700-800, this means the crew could be close to 1,000! They might have boarded through the stern cabin's windows?, gunports?, or maybe the sheer volume of boarding ropes were overpowering? I'm sure there's something that happened!
  13. Great work, the tent is simple but effective!
  14. Most certainly a bouncy food! The little details are always great!
  15. HMS Juniper is a small sloop (Class 2) armed with a single 24 Pounder on a turntable. Juniper has a fore and aft rig allowing her decent maneurveribility and range. She has little storage below the waterline, meaning she carries quite a bit on the deck! She is not intended for long ocean voyages, but rather an experimental light merchant vessel which carries a large calibre gun. I'm not sure where she'll be destined for, as my sigfig is currently on Island 12... First BoBs Ship!
  16. I agree! Nothing like a little extra encouragement to get my WIP finished...
  17. The Adventure Begins! Great work on the foliage, I can feel the mosquitos fresh island breeze!
  18. Here's HMS Juniper- Version 8 (this will probably be licensed soon) C&C as always
  19. I'm sure a few hundred windmills wouldn't hurt either.
  20. This is really good information!
  21. This will definitely be in my future! As for the free license, does upkeep get billed monthly, bi-monthly, Etc. ?
  22. I read somewhere that Corrington was also based on the Swedes... How does that manifest?
