Probably. With the popularity of Barracuda Bay, Lego would be foolish not to relaunch Pirates.

Well, the Pirates of Barracuda Bay set did sell out in a week, and the only bad reviews on Lego's website is people complaining that it's not back yet. Also, It could wind up being its own thing, going for a historical accuracy thing. We'll just have to wait and see.

Well, the idea for this topic is that the majority of the build is useful for pirates, just with a bit of modification. It's very similar to that topic, but still it's own thing.

The title is a bit vague, so to clarify what I mean, I mean sets where a majority of the set is useful to pirates. First thing I can think of is the Moana sets. It could be used for Islanders or some castaways.

I'm going to call it here, Pirates is coming back in 2021, and in a big way.

I mean, there was a wide variety of pirate flags in real life, so it makes sense to use them all for different ships. Also, my favorite Lego pirate flag is the one from the +4 sets from 2004. True, the figures are grotesque and the builds are pathetic, but it's nice to have a pirate flag that isn't black for once, you know?

A good merchant harbor would be a very lovely edition to the pirates line, maybe it could come with a small merchant ship? As for the Kraken, the best thing to do is to raise awareness about it. I'd like to see some sort of pirate community pack, where you get a wide selection of minifigures included. Think something like Fun in the Park from City, but it's for Pirates.

Ladies and Gentlemen, there is something sorely missing in pirates that has not been addressed (to my knowledge, at least). Something that has bothered me since 2009. I refer, of course, to the lack of a proper Kraken. A mere one piece octopus does not compare to the sheer size and terror the Kraken possesses. Some may say that Aqua Raiders or Atlantis have an pretty good squid, which is folly! Even if one was to ignore the fact that these squids came with a bunch of stuff you didn't want, the squids are still far too small to take on a proper ship. There's lots of possibilities with ghost pirates,TLC might do something with hidden side. I'd love to see some Victorian era styled pirates, with top hats or bowler hats. Also, I know it's kind of dark, but I'd love to see a new dodo bird mold introduced at some point.
