Murder On the Emerald Express: Chapter 11
Batbrick replied to WesternOutlaw's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
You're a sick person Greasemen, an' I ain't one for insults. I think I'll join you Herman, no use for me standin' around these corpses 'less I want ta pass out.....like you just did. Might interestin' theories yer spinnin' there, ya bring up a great point regardin' Miss Thornton's last name. Perhaps we could discuss this upstairs. I think it's safe ta assume that this poor couple were either in on or knew of what Miss Thornton was plannin', or were suspected to be. -
My sister brought back a Squidman Escape set from Sydney, which made me very happy since there are no Space Police sets here. I also bought the Hoth Defence set today, mainly for the awesome figs and Tauntaun. I wasn't disappointed, though the price is too much and box too big. To the Brickmobile!

Hear hear, though mind you, as much as I would love time travel to be real, I don't believe its possible, atleast for humans, what with time paradoxes and all. As for the end of the world, I've always though it should become a post-apoc setting, let the moon crash into Earth! To the Brickmobile!

Ah yes, I was once like you, but I have since been....converted :skull: I would definitely recommend watching some more, the show runs on pure, concentrated awesome! Oh, I didn't mean "classic" in the traditional since, I just meant it was awesome. I don't understand why, it has been given some of the best raves so far. Yeah, they're definitely more obscure than this season, which is why I'm so excited. But c'mon, HAUNTED TANK! (In case you hadn't realised, he's a tank, that's haunted) Yeah, I've seen both of those. The Robot Chicken one was great, I caught all the Shawshank references since I love that movie. The Adam West one is great too, especially all the 60's Batman series callbacks. Yeah, I loved them both, but The Last Bat on Earth was sheer awesome. I loved that Tiny made an appearance even if he didn't talk. For some ridiculous reason Cartoon Network has delayed them till later in the year. However, the awesomeness that is Australia rebelled against CN and a mighty war was fought. Australia won, and subsequently aired both When OMAC Attacks and The Fate of Equinox. I've watched both of them, and they were both pretty darn great. Both concern Equinox as the main villain. *Continues to stare* Darn....that is one mighty grisly sight. Poor souls, this is even more serious than we thought it was. They've obviously been here a long while....see this why I told you we shoulda not just run inna here! Darn... They were in Jennifer's locket, so they woulda been close ta her. Any other ideas? Darn... -
Would you care to explain why you feel that way? To the Brickmobile!

Well, Batman: The Brave and the bold had its own panel a few days ago at Comic-Con, with some awesome news. The musical episode Mayhem of the Music Meister aired there, receiving a round of applause from the audience. The main guest star is Black Canary, but Aquaman, Green Arrow, Black Manta, Gorilla Grodd and Clock King also have singing parts. Apparently nearly every single character that has appeared on the show makes a cameo as well. The titular villain is voiced by the awesome Neil Patrick Harris. Upcoming characters from the second season have been confirmed: The Captain Marvel family, Vixen, Detective Chimp, The Metal Men, The Doom Patrol, Firestorm, Black Orchid, Monsieur Mallah, GI Robot, Starro, Enemy Ace, Oh, and the FREAKIN' HAUNTED TANK! WOOO! A clip was shown from a second season episode called Chill of the Night! written by Paul Dini. The clip had Julie Newmar - Catwoman from the Adam West Batman series - as Martha Wayne with Thomas Wayne - voiced by Diedrich Bader who is also Batman in this series - just before they are meant to be killed. Mark Hamill and Kevin Conroy have been confirmed to voice the supernatural entities The Spectre and Phantom Stranger respectively. Overall, I'm flippin' excited! To the Brickmobile!

*Gives up any hope of waiting till morning and runs down with the others* *cough* This here is one mighty bad smell. I agree Herman partner, let's not light any matches down here 'less we wanna get burnt ourselves. I'm goin' by the rather obvious presumption that no one has a flashlight, so this situation could be tricky. We've all had disagreements in the past, but I think we should put it ta a vote if we're gonna go ahead now or later. -
THanks mate. Cybermen are definitely on the list. I've already pretty much done them infact, I just have to do the face, since there isn't really an official one that does it justice. Thanks, I'm actually pretty happy with the head apart from a lack of lights. I though about blue tacking some trans 1x1 rounded pieces on but decided against it, but still might try it. And I'll be sure to do the Emperor at some point. I'm doing Supreme Dalek and Davros, as well as almost finished the Cybermen. The Master (Probably Jacobi, since I think he's the only one who is near Deldago) is in the works as well. Thanks for the comment on the Doctor's suit too. He switched to a more plain blue undercoat in the fourth series but earlier you can occasionally see that it looks a lot like the torso I've chosen which makes me rather happy. To the Brickmobile!
-
Not sure which, but it's the torso in this comic: http://www.drunkduck.com/Lego_Space/index.php?p=368891 Great new comic too. Love Shwartz' demonstration of the roominess of the van, my favourite is the "outdoor area". Valkyrie's comment is appropriately hilarious too. To the Brickmobile!

Hello EB, been a long time since I've posted creations, since I'm currently working on my mega project; Wayne Manor. However, I've recently got back into my favourite childhood shows, one of them being Doctor Who. I watched all of the renewed series recently as well as some classics, and I just knew I had to make some characters. So here we go: For those who aren't familiar with Doctor Who, the Daleks are an evil (Or are they? Since Extermination is all they know) race of aliens that originate from the planet of Skaro. There is a long backstory, but they were essentially created by an alien called Davros. They believe they are the superior race and therefore all other races should be, well, exterminated. This is what the new series Dalek looks like, though the older ones were generally a more blacky-grey colour scheme: Prototype Dalek: This was my first attempt at a Dalek, inspired by Casewindu's neat creation. It is about the right height, but I wasn't happy with it, it seemed to bulky and I wanted to capture the front slope better. As fans can tell, my Doctor is the tenth, though I plan on making the others. I haven't got a brown coat torso so I'm using his blue undercoat. My new Dalek compared with my old: As you can see, I used 3 studded long sloping pieces to illustrate the shape of the Dalek. I'm much happy with the head now too, since it has the rivets. Now I added lights to my Daleks, using bluetack which I felt worked really well: To those who have watched the new series, I bring you...Dalek Sec: Supreme Dalek: Davros, creator of the Daleks: And the Dalek Empire: Now, the classic Cybermen: I hope you enjoyed it guys! Comments appreciated and feel free to post your own Daleks! I haven't finished yet though, be on the constant watch for more of the Dalek Empire, and other Doctor enemies. To the Brickmobile!

Thanks for the reply KDog. I'll definitely be sure to buy that Camper then next time I go to K-Mart. Of course unlike you I think a lot of pieces, but a surfboard, I don't have that, and I am in desperate need of white. That hairpiece is great too. Yep, I'll go for it, thanks! I envy you so much in having so much classic Lego. As much as I love the current stuff (which is generally more useful for creations) nothing, absolutely nothing fills me with childhood giddiness like the prospect of being given a tub of old Lego. It's why I was so excited to get my first Classic Space figures from my friend ages months ago. Soeaking of which, another friend let me sort through his Lego and pick out some stuff I wanted a few weeks ago. I managed to snag some great stuff, but best of all was two Blacktron 2 figs, so I can have my own Verwaand plus 1! The only annoying thing is I haven't got any of those trans-light green visors so they're wearing dark green for now. Not to worry though, because I embarrassingly skipped past several light green visors going through his Lego so I'll just have to ask if I can quickly go through one more. I also got a Space Police commander torso and face, which means I can make that....guy....whose name escapes me. Help me out? To the Brickmobile!
-
Absolutely stunning. I agree it looks like a movie still. Excellent setup of minifigs too, thanks for posting! To the Brickmobile!
-
Awesome stuff, I love little vigs like this, I really need to make some myself. I adore the burning black skeletons on top of the vignette, fantastic stuff! The skeleton buried beneath the surface is a great touch too. I love the minifig you've made, but best of all is all the detail you've managed to cram in there, great stuff! To the Brickmobile!
-
Very neat, I never thought of using a jungle style hideout in an apocalyptic setting, very clever! I love the way the cave entrance is done, as well as the minifigs, which looks superb. I think my favourite details though are the little rat roast pit, wood scaffolding and of course wolf head on a spike. To the Brickmobile!

Oh you are funny Darn, too bad. I'm in agreement with Eleanor here, Much as I'm scared around her, we should explore this here trapdoor tomorrow when the light is brighter an' we can see what's down there. We've had too many darn injuries and even fatalities to risk it I say. -

Suggestions for an Inferno HQ?
Batbrick replied to Peppermint_M's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
It's more beautiful than I ever imagined! Now make it! My most looked forward to parts are the escape pod, command centre, holding cells, animal cyberisation center, and of course, expansive part for extensive battle with Agents! To the Brickmobile! -
Hahaha! Brilliant! Great to see my favourite characters again. Good to see that you're revisiting Earth as well. I like the way you've revealed more about Shwartz' background nice and subtly, though I'm sure we all could guess he was a misfit when he was younger! And like Zero said, Valkyrie's in for some seriously weird stuff on the horizon. Incidentally, what do you think of the set? I was thinking of buying it. To the Brickmobile!
-
Brilliant! I love the way you've combined the "classic" rocket archetype with the rickety Orc designs. I think it should have a bit of orc design on the rocket as well though, but this is a really fun creation, thanks for sharing. To the Brickmobile!

Darth Sion are you serious? You just linked to Wikipedia to back up your info. Not advisable as hard evidence let me say. I can still appreciate Dreamworks, the first Shrek and Kung Fu Panda were stellar (despite aforementioned anticlimactic fight). However, I get the feeling that even some of the animators and writers are getting sick of being pushed towards furry animal stories. I admit Pixar does have a traditional Pixar formula, but almost every time there is a new spin on it and a new message to appreciate. I et the feeling that Dreamworks is just yet to evolve in its own way. Yes, because people don't have morality! They are dark and evil and money grabbers and will crawl into your bed at night and steal your blankets just to leave you cold! Of course companies are money grabbers, that goes without saying so much a post by itself could be considered spam. Doesn't mean the people working in the company, on any level, don't want to make a good movie with good themes. Read any Pixar interview or even a Kung Fu Panda interview and you can tell that the people that write and board these stories care. all of them? No, but quite a few people, because as we all know a company is a collective whole of people, so it doesn't share one single opinion.
-
BWAHAHAHAHA! BRILLIANT! I've long held a distaste for Dreamworks films, even Kung Fu Panda -which was turning brilliant- went with a stupid anticlimax ending of haivng the previously threatening and deep villain suddenly just cannon fodder under the panda's butt, after so much buildup to an awesome finale. Murder On the Emerald Express: Chapter 11
Batbrick replied to WesternOutlaw's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
Ah, "Fer Your Eyes Only", one of my least favourite Bond films. My ma could never stop singin' that song, would drive me crazy! I must admit I barely remember that terrible night. Only recently have I begun ta realise that it mighta been more serious than I first thought... I'll also help Herman build tihs dynamite wife, sounds like a fun game we used ta play back in Texas; dodge the dynamite! We had great fun back in those days, 'cept fer George who didn't quite unnerstand the rules the first time! Ha! I'm just kiddin' fellas. I'm not too comfortably around dynamite, so I'll sit this one out and join Mark in lookin' for interestin' tools in the drawers. Perhaps we'll find that johnson rod we've been lookin' for eh?
