Murder on the Emerald Express: Chapter 13
Batbrick replied to WesternOutlaw's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
*Austin still hangs heroically up in the air awaiting confirmation as to which side he'll land on* Make up yer mind on which side yer going ta fellas! I ain't got the patience for this! And someone help me down, all I've got up here is Herman's underwear, and its darn creepin' me out! -
Guys I'm almost certain that Black Rabbit's design was not actually part of this project and was just a suggestion, which was appropriately shot down by Skinny Boy since the cliff design would be too complicated and a wall better, which I agree with. Jamiedodger714, I think you need to rework your section. It looks like a cliff face and not a wall, and needs some greys or browns to make it look more vivid. Also, it could use a lot more detail. I'm not trying to be a spoilsport here, but we are trying to make a sweet post apoc town here sourrounded by a wall that has been built, or intergrated into buildings. To the Brickmobile!

Awesome design there SirNadroj! I love how shiny and sleek the vehicle looks, the absence of studs really works for it. Awesome use of that front windshield too. The R/C is impressive as all, clever construction. Love the astronaut too. To the Brickmobile!

Why Power Miners is better than Rock Raiders
Batbrick replied to Zarkan's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Very good points made. I agree Power Miners is a better theme overall than Rock Raiders, but I still prefer the latter's minifigs, and theme in general just because I love the concept more. That quasi-steampunk, slightly Journey-to-the-Center-of-the-Earth feel is what I loved about ock Raiders, and that feeling of childhood glee that I got form the recent Castle line and Rock Raiders so many years ago isnt their ith Power Miners for me. Warner Brothers planning CGI/live action LEGO film

What are you going on about? Oh yes, I forgot that part. To the Brickmobile! -
Pretty good. Your TARDIS is rather nice, though I think the front doors need improving. Your Davros is really neat, even though he is taller than a minifigure. Your Daleks are also really good too, though their heads are very round and they are too tall. I love your Doctor though, great torso choice there. Very good stuff overall, are you planning on more? My Doctor Who creations including Daleks, Davros and the Cybermen are here if you want to see them: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?...=31713&st=0 To the Brickmobile!

Murder on the Emerald Express: Chapter 13
Batbrick replied to WesternOutlaw's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
*Austin still heroically in mid jump to the theme music of six million dollar man* Er, did I make it? Because I'm pretty sure it ain't possible for me ta ran and take a flyin' leap and yet these here fella arrive before now? -
Oh....that's embarrassing....sorry! The server in currently down, but I'll be sure to post my thoughts when I can see it! To the Brickmobile!

If it gets huge, we can always build a smaller sister town or nearby outpost. To the Brickmobile!

Honestly the Lego Tumbler was pretty underwhelming in terms of size, in that it was way too big. Which would at the same time make it overwhelming I guess. If you want to make a neat, proper sized tumbler, go to the search feature and type in the word "tumbler". To the Brickmobile!

Oh yeah, I had forgotten about the possibility of there not being normal minifigs. I don't know if it would cause it to fail, but it would be a catastrophe to me. But that has a totally different attraction and building style. If this were made with normal bricks then there is a chance that it could bomb, partly because of a lack of "real" figs. How about a different story or none at all? I don't think it needs a story, the basics have been pretty much laid down to give it a nice ambiguous backstory; there was nuclear war (not revealed what sides there were) and now this town must defend itself against marauding gangs or other towns trying to extend their reach. To the Brickmobile!

No, it isn't, is this some sort of a bad joke? To the Brickmobile!

Oh dear goodness please let there not be a sequel. 99% of the time sequels are awful, I'm just hoping the makers of this film realise that some (read: most) films are better off without them. To the Batbrickmobile!

Hah, great tribute KDog, I think my favourite part was Valkyrie's raid on the giant jelly beans, I had completely forgotten that! To the Brickmobile!

Warner Brothers planning CGI/live action LEGO film
Batbrick replied to Whittleberry's topic in Culture & Multimedia
Honestly - in keeping with my more real life self's cynicism - I can't see anything good springing from this. At all. I'm not joking, every foreseeable result ends in cataclysmic disaster. I have seen the future, and this production will become a black hole from which nothing, nothing at all - not even light itself - can possibly escape! This movie will be the darkness, the bane on humanity itself! It will wreak unimaginable horror across the globe - nay- the universe! Natural disasters, crime, even nuclear war will result from this catastrophe of a movie. Weak minded people will go mad from the revelation of seeing it! All hope will be lost as the sky grows dark and Lego lovers are slaughtered in public for helping contribute to the movies revenue! Nothing will be sacred, nothing will be spared! The end time are coming and this movie is the first horseman of the inevitable apocalypse! No one is safe! Don't even run, don't even hide because nothing can stop it! Nothing! Nothing and no one and not a single form of matter in known existence can prevent THE END! NOTHING! AHAHAHAHAHA! Batbrick Away! -
Is this the sorta of post apoc that would have mechas? I'm not criticising, I'm just curious what Skinny Boy thinks, since we're doing the more traditional sealed off town approach. To the Brickmobile!

Murder on the Emerald Express: Chapter 13
Batbrick replied to WesternOutlaw's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
And I bein' a mighty Texan shall run valiantly across this here bridge! *speeds up with Bionic Man music playing* -
Sweet ship Dr S, you really are good at space creations. I always fall into the trappings of basically making a futuristic looking fighter jet, but this is truly a space ship. The dragonfly feel is certainly evident, I love the "wings" on the sides with armaments. THe two prongs at the front look great too, and a superb choice of canopy piece. To the Brickmobile!

Either way, we can atleast look forward to some potentially cool set and pieces and minfigs, and if not, then likely it won't last that longf anyway. To the Brickmobile!

Murder on the Emerald Express: Chapter 13
Batbrick replied to WesternOutlaw's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
BUUUULLLLLLDDDDOOOOGGGG! NOOOOOOOO! Poor fella, he was a good friend for ta brief moments I knew him, when we get ta the other side, we HAVE to see if we can at least spot his body, he's done too much for our group for us not ta try and find 'im. Darn, this will make it even harder to find out friend, there's no chance a mighty Texan can't heroically dive inta the waters below and survive is there? Poor Bulldog.... Don't worry Herman, we'll find a way ta at least check on him! Maybe we could use the rope ta lower someone down cliffside to a safe distance from ta water? Great stuff, I'm all over this here plank idea. I think I will stay here however and lookout for Bulldog. Would you like ta help me try an' spot 'im Herman? -
I'm really hoping the army men are not in a large set, but on the other hand it could be a smart move on TLC's part to market it in a larger set to make more money. Or not possibly, who knows? Still, definitely getting them, they will be the most useful figs of the line for me. To the Brickmobile!

Wow, that is one very, very trippy dream! And naturally Shwartz doesn't learn a lot...for now.... The plot is certainly thickening. My favourite stories are the ones that generally involve the main mystery so this was a very cool chapter. Poor Valkyrie's getting creeped out by Shwartz' fantasies too. The drawings are very much awesome, I love the blck and white one with the UFO alien looming in the background. Nice to see you touching on the main themes again, I have a feeling a lot of things are going to tie together. Cool to see that mysterious girl (Jenny? I'm going with Jenny, since I've ran out of downloads right now and it'll take half an hour to load her debut) that appeared in Valkyrie's secret tomb and bar. Greatly looking forward to the next part! To the Brickmobile!

That he did Thanks mate, appreciated To the Brickmobile!

Okay, I've already started my first wall section! This one is a large fortified wall into the front of a small shop. My section will look like the people who made the wall did a generally good job and so will be one of the less haphazard sections of the town. I'm thinking I can make three sections which will have a semblance of continuity but are still modular to fit next to other sections. After the first shop, I'll be making the wall continue, which behind it will have a clearing where an exit road used to be, but is now sporting a small garden and play place for children. My third section will most likely be a building or house with the same wall design interceding into its front. If it's okay with Polish guy then can I take #21, #22 and #23 and he can take #24? To the Brickmobile!
