Fantastic creation Oky, while the building is pretty standard the look of the characters and how they are positioned is brilliant! I especially love the snake-for-a-tongue on Venom, I'd never have thought of that. The Goblin design is my personal favourite, and an excellent choice with the pumpkin he's wielding. My only real criticisms are that Spidey and Venom don't really look right from certain angles, and the whole building appears to be leaning forward a touch. But overall I really enjoyed looking at this, I hope you do.did well Batbrick Away!

I'd like to say that Jenny's rather amusing punishments given out will come back to bite her, but as mentioned I'm too amused to jinx it. Feel sorry for Weiss though (Grandfather), his grandson turned out to be a grade A douche. Batbrick Away!

Skalldyr, that is one awesome zombie creation, better than most I've seen on this site in fact. I adore how the room, while trashed, makes perfect sense and you can tell what's been knocked over and what hasn't, too many zombie mocs dirty everything up. Best of all however is all the different looks and personalities of the minifigs, and how you've posed them. My favourites are the crazy chick running out into the fray and the chap with the shotgun. And of course, a more old-fashioned era with zombies is a great breath of fresh air for the genre. Batbrick Away!

Hmmm.....not enough greeble lisqr Seriously though I really quite like this, the enormous amount of greeble is obviously what makes it, but it still doesn't obstruct the centre piece which is cool. The only problem I have with it is the "spikes" off the tubing, I think they look out-of-place. But still, a neat little creation, and certainly unique. Batbrick Away!

Wow! This is certainly strange, I have to laugh at the prospect of anyone building their own Staphen Hawking figure. Amusing none-the-less Batbrick Away!

Sweet built in little building Athos, a great entry indeed. I agree with Zorbas, the tan on brown looks great, and I'm jealous of those tan lion sculpts. The inside is neat too, I especially like the white pharoah looking statue at the top. Batbrick Away!

Haha, I laughed at the last panel, good use of onomatopoeia. Also, I love the purple maountain background, is that a shower cap? A towel? Either way I hope to see more planets with innovative use of everyday things. Yeah, sorry for the wall of text earlier, I'll try to limit myself a bit more. Looking forward to your reply though :) Poor Squidman, not having the best of times. And Jenny's love talk with the universe is unsettling. And Captain Weiss!? I'm wondering if this isn't a descendent given the demotion and youthful looks considering decades have passed. Batbrick is so happy!

He is! I'm just so happy so happy right now! I always imagined this moment but I never thought it would happen! You did! Don't look at me, I've just...I've just got some sand in my eye is all! We sure did buddy! We were like the Blue and the Gold we were, and when you were gone it felt like Max got you! Also, I recently read 1984 again for my college assessment, and am currently enjoying going through A Pocket Full of Rye by Agatha Christie. Batbrick is so damn happy!

Fantastic job Oky, you've done justice to the Batmythos here and I give my seal of Batbrick approval! I love the portrayal of Joker and Harley here, the 1 million dollars line is certainly something he would say. Excellent use of the mime's face there, and the minifigs are positioned perfectly! I hope Bob is okay though.... To the Brickmobile, to race the Okymobile!

Oh My God.....He's back.

Once Upon a Time in the West, a damn good movie and a meditation on the death of the western hero. I recommend it to anyone who can be patient with a film, as there are some long scenes, but it is definitely worth it, especially Henry Fonda of all people and his magnificent role as the ruthless Frank. Oooh, I will have to join in too, but what would be the perfect Lego heads for Nathan Fillion and Neal Patrick Harris? Edit: Nevermind count me in for 1, I remember an awful pic from a superhero board.....eugh..... -Thomas

That's neat! I'll have to convince my sister to get one so I can win with style at Mario Kart everytime I go to her house Batbrick Away!

Haha, a great little gag Oky. Not much to say beyond that and an excellent choice with the Witch head Batbrick Away!

Argh! I've done it again! I don't deserve to live! Anyhoo, here we go, I'll try not to make a wall of text this time 13: Someone explain the code reference! Ah, the mind probe, a brilliant reference if I may say so, probably the most poorly acted moment in history, up there with the "Oh My GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD!" kid from Trolls 2. 14: The Joker reference! KDog you are my hero! Where's that face from though? I really want it. And you! As an actual dog! Brilliant! I also like that you even give Jenny's co-workers backstory and personality. Often a trait I rate things highly for. 15: And a Squidtron cameo! Your world is indeed diverse, and another great look into the future Blacktron. Looking forward to seeing where this goes...Tannen is indeed a blockhead. Batbrick Away!

REVIEW: Set 4738: Harry Potter - Hagrid's Hut
Batbrick replied to KristofBD's topic in LEGO Licensed
Wonderful review KristofBD! Many thanks! I really quite like this set, and was tempted to get it, but having a look at the details I'll have to pass and go for the bigger Hogwarts myself. Not to say this isn't something I'd love to have, but budget contraints and all, and the spider thinks it's all that, but it's not. Batbrick Away! -
Aww, this is an adorable and amusing creation Leo-J! A great variation on a classic, and very neatly pulled off. Special props on the Power Miner's face, he seems pretty happy with himself! Batbrick Away!

I've got no excuse this time, so I must commit to the only honourable action: D'Awwwww! Thanks! D'oh! I completely forgot about that. I love the way you've thought this out. I love that in the future Blacktron has become such a more shadowy organisation, it seems that it rebounded from its "legitimate" stage and evolved into a full-on Chessmaster group, manipulating behind the scenes. Gives me goosebumps the concept is so cool. I'll hunt for it when I read the comic through on its next achievement, it'll be a nightmare to find! Cool, it is a great site and certainly helped improve my writing. The important thing to remember is that tropes aren't necessarily cliches, and even if they are they can provide plenty of examples that are clever spins on them. Interesting, glad to know you plan to build it though, I know one poster didn't like them, but I think DACTA is one of the smartest parts of the comic because they are so useful for so many plotlines (fourth-wall jokes, explaining separated comics, infodumps, plotlines with Dash etc). Thanks very much. Yes I do still plan on doing the comic though who knows how long it would take, the problem is the amount of sets required and how I'd probably do each major arc and THEN post it, since I would be the most irregular comic poster. I've got all the Batman sets so that doesn't worry me. Basically, I'm planning sort of like a TV show, in the sense that there are 5 "seasons" of varying lengths I've totally planned out. I've also mapped out the personalities and arcs of the various characters that appear. So planning wise I'm pretty good at, its just getting to the point where I have enough backdrops and sets that I can produce it without worrying, since Batman would require more specific locations than Space, while that requires more vehicles than Batman. It's planned to be quite serious in nature, in that while there is of course humour (and it won't be as serious as The Dark Knight) there will be deaths and proper storylines and such. I wasn't convinced I could do it with Lego, but the way you've managed to have such emotional segments, especially that freaking scary Dash one, I'm convinced its possible. And I'd break up the storyline with the occasional joke strip as well. But I'm definitely hopeful of getting it done, thanks for asking Anyhow, fantastic new comics: Part 10: I love how this is going. Nice use of greyscale too, have you done that much before? Either way, it's a nice, simple way of depicting flashbacks. Part 11: I love the way this one is shot! How did you do the first panel with the planet? Laptop. Either way this one is really inventive in its setting, I really enjoy spotting little signs of how the comic improves technically from its beginnings. Excellent cameos here, I love that Raven's Port Bar remains a hive of scum and villainy, more so in fact. And a great development on the Blacktron legacy, the Supreme Pirate is very nice. And a twist! Part 12: Captain Dash is a firni' his lazer! Great development here, I wonder if that lineage line is a hint at something. Seems Jenny is far more sinister than I initially thought, even with the whole skull thing. Batbrick Away!

Thanks SO much for this absolutely stunning review Ras 74, the amount of detail you've gone into has really sold me on this set. I'm not a Harry potter fan myself, but this set contains so many fleshies and bricks and parts and lovely, lovely, lovely tan that I simply must get it. The Dementors are particularly wonderful and I'll find great use for those capes. Ultimately this will be the ultimate non-Batman set to continue my creation of that universe. The raggedy suit will be perfect for Harvey Bullock. I digress though, I'm going into my own little world again I love the owls, fantastic prints there, and the detail and little bits and pieces for each room is great. I will definitely be getting this set! Batbrick Away!

Sorry mate, I'm gonna go with KielDaMan here, I think that while you're enthusiasm was good you're issues with parts selection and colour, as well as the admittingly basic design on the ship damage what could have been greatly. However your Robin Hood job made me laugh in my seat, one of the best Avatar parodies I've seen Btbrick Away!

Burn Oky. You just got burned My God man, you're totally right! I can't believe I never thought of that! Thankyou! And while I know Oky posted this idea earlier, the fact that he didn't post a pic disgusts me on a really personal level ( ), so here's the poison Ivy plant goon: *Goes off to switch Croc's hands* Batbrick Away!

I've decided, I must get this set. I can't resist that much flesh coloured figs, it is too perfect for enlarging my Batman Legoverse. And the trophy will be neat too. Thanks for the review, though the picture quality doesn't do it justice. I can see you've got a lot of good shots lined up, but the use of a camera phone brings down the review a lot. Sorry, I don't want to sound mean, but I think a lot of people would appreciate it a lot more if you could get some clearer pics next time. Hopefully if you do another review it can be when you've got a new lens because you'll probably knock it out of the park Batbrick Away!

Aquaraiders HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! No seriously, Aquaraiders was one of the first themes I bought when I got back into Lego, and it is the only theme I bought every set of and completed. It's all destroyed now for Batman mocs, but I have a great bias and nostalgia for that theme even if it had quite a few flaws and suffered a lot of "Sameyness". Batbrick Away!

Sorry KDog, so late at this point! But fortunately exams are over now and I've handed in my due assignments so I should be posting a bit more regularly now! Anyhoo, my usual reviews: Part 6: Yay! You got the Space Police III base, sweet job! Presumably the Space Police III theme is the more advanced, high-profile part of the organisation? Sort of like the FBI to the regular police and what-not? Interesting to get a bit more on Jenny's character here, I wonder how that ties into Shwartz's freakin' scary dream he had. And what a twist! Part 7: Ooh, Squidman is a genius, I like how you manage to incorporate so many different space themes into this comic. I know I say this so often, but it is really clever. But...what's the Galanos Vortex? Do we know that yet? Part 8: Something will go wrong, I can sense it. Also I read you're comments accidentally. Interesting Mysterious Jenny's mysterious motives remain mysterious, providing a compelling mystery Nice detail on having the lighting be brighter when the pod opens too. Part 9: Hahaha! Jenny is just genre savvy enough to not let Jawson help, but just genre blind enough to let Squidman get away (Sorry, I just love linking to TV Tropes ). Also, you seem to have a cruel writing style :p Also KDog, did you get around to finishing that DACTA base? Batbrick Away!

LEGO Star Wars Comic - Fun With Han & Chewie!
Batbrick replied to Doctor Sinister's topic in Brick Flicks & Comics
Great stuff as usual Dr.S, my favourites were the first three, though I think the use of the mid-scale Millennium Falcon was the most ingenious part. Hoping to see more soon! Batbrick Away!
