I don't know guys, one of my friends on another forum had his comic on DD, and also on his site like KDog's. He also ran into trouble like this and eventually stopped. Hope everything works out for you KDog, I'd hate to see it taken over or something. - Batbrick

Trying to say either is better on political basis is nonsense. I'm not even taking sides here in this argument, I'm just saying that the politics of both OT and PT are archetypal for the former and so not politically deep at all, and lucicrously overwrought in the latter and so also not really relevant. If these were political films that had some basis in reality or allegory as the main selling point then he could have an argument, but Star Wars has never been politically deep even when it attempted to do so. Its like arguing between Mad Men and The Wire based purely upon rollercoaster entertainment value. Batbrick Away!

I think the comedic genius of Bane's voice is that it really sounds like there are intelligent words behind it somewhere, and the way he speaks seems like he's got an academic affectation. Its just that he's got one of these on his face that obscures all that: Batbrick Away!

Fantastic! I love all the little details and greebles, like the use of the phone piece on the sides. I'm utterly jealous of your amount of the Hazmat guys as well. I'm not usually a fan of black and yellow together, but your sparing use of the latter works really well here. Damn that backstory is bleak though! Batbrick Away!

Haha, having the two Galanos' just have a friendly chat is ingenious. I'm interested in seeing what the Best-Lock versions of Schwartz and Galanos look like now. Batbrick Away!

I for one freatly look forward to the pholosophical debates between Batman and Bane: "RHARGHRHARGHWHERERARGHGORDONEEUURGHGARBLEWARBLECATWOMANREARCH!" "Ah, but nuerfleweurflebooblebobbletrippindippinipplsmitch!" "REARGHREUOGH POINT CONCEEDED!" Batbrick Away!

Lizard Man meets Lizard........Woman?

That's excellent paintwork, and also adorable! Batbrick Away! -
Love the use of the barrels and crates. Makes me want to make one of my own, it looks fantastic and uses pieces I need to get rid off. I especially like how it looks like a giant revolver. Batbrick Away!

Always happy to see Doctor Who creations myself. Interesting design, choices too, I never would have thought of using non-minifig pieces for the head. With a print it'd look fantastic, though admittingly I prefer a grey painted minifig head, like one of your designs especially with that armour piece. Batbrick Away!

Well, so far I have purchased the Wonder Woman set, the Catwoman set, and recently the Two-Face set, which I couldn't pass up as Two-Face is my favourite Batvillain. I'm thinking of the Batcave set, but it seems even more ludicrously over priced than the rest of the sets. Overall I'm happy to see a return of DC but wish they had not just rehashed old sets. Maybe next year. Batbrick Away!

Moc: Do not party at the graveyard
Batbrick replied to BobBongo1895's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Heh, quite humourous, I love how you've positioned the minifigs. Though I have to wonder who on Earth parties at a graveyard anyway! :p Batbrick Away! -
Ah, Wetwired I was trying to remember your username the other day. I want to thankyou for providing instructions to your brilliant design, your Tumbler is sitting proudly in my custom Batcave at the moment, so I'll gladly support this vote! Batbrick Away!

Roman Holiday for the first time. Absolutely fantastic film, very funny, and Gregory Peck and Audrey Hepburn have great chemistry together. The last scene in particular is going on my list as one of the most effectve I've seen. Batbrick Away!

That's Eoin Colfer alright.

Hah, I thought they didn't seem like actual LEGO models. Using Best-Lock sets as the 'alternate universe' setting is ingenious. and dear Lord, that last line slayed me. Must find use in dily conversation. - Batbrick Away!

Post about Cartoons and Anime you like

Just finished watching a show I hadn't seen before, but has now become one of my favourites: Planetes. Brilliant anime, especially for hard science fans. Basically about garbagemen in space, but much more exciting than that sentence implies. Batbrick Away! -
Well, I have no idea what's going to happen next, though I am greatly intrigued, and curious whether this will tie into the Alien arc. Do it! No worries, I'm only joking if you thought I was half-serious. I cannot stand the attitude that an artist 'owes' their fans, people have a lot of their own business that comes first, I remember the big fan whining when George R Martin said his next Song of Ice and Fire book would be a few years off. Ugh, he made the product guys! I think a dangerous line to skirt in long running comedy is how a character's attributes the fans love or are particularly memorable come to be the only defining feature, to the point a character like JD in Scrubs season 7 is a caricature of the JD of season 1. One of my favourite aspects here is that the characters actually show more layers as they go on. The only one I was concerned about for a while was Shwartz, where it seemed the focus became less and less about his job and more and more about his slackitude, which for a time I felt was going to go over the top. Thankfully, that's been reeled in quite a bit recently, from more work related plots to a few reminders that he does his job well when applied. Sorry, I don't want to criticise, I hope I'm not coming off that way, your comic usually belts it out of the park I feel it would be a disservice not to point out the occasional gripes. Wow! Thanks a heap! I will definitely try to get onto it soon. Greatly appreciated! :) - Thomas

Just finished rewatching Cowboy Bebop. One of my favourite series, and one I notice new things about every time. Batbrick Away! -
Heck, I'd buy it. Probably twice. Anyway, love the new comics KDog, if it weren't for this darned sanity of mine I'd be all for forcing you at Lego gun point to churn them out quicker. But the quality of your comics over time and even recently has not just remained great, its gotten even better. I was astonished when I did that reading through the entire comic recently just how much of a marked improvement there was across the whole thing, particularly in the framing of shots, selection of panel layouts, and how characters became, and continue to be, defined. Getting back to current pages, I like how Schwartz and Valkyrie's relationship has evolved to the point that she's genuinely miffed in her own way about him not calling her. The detail about her need to steal things in order to satisfy her own urges and maintain the status quo she's comfortable is something I've become aware of over time, though not quite to the depth you've put it in that last strip. I think of this comic as being much like one of my favourite comedies Parks and Recreation (not sure if you've seen it) in that the jokes aren't just funny, they actually explain a lot about the characters and how they approach life, as well as often giving a genuine warmth to them and by extension the comic/show. Would you be open to the idea of a guest comic? I've sketched out an idea I'd like to do for a non-canon strip now that I have several of the characters sitting in front of me on this desk. Perfectly okay if no, just thought I'd give it a shot. Regaardless, I eagerly await the next update! - Thomas

Review: 6858 Catwoman Catcycle City Chase
Batbrick replied to Masked Builder's topic in LEGO Licensed
Thanks for the review, can't wait to find this set here in TAS, and to compare in person the new Catwoman with the old. The purple bike warrants a purchase alone for me, and I love the streetlamp design. Excellent quality pics and breakdown of the set! Batbrick Away! -
Review: 6857 - The Dynamic Duo Funhouse Escape
Batbrick replied to AlexScammer's topic in LEGO Licensed
bit of a late reply, but just want ot thankyou for the excellent review and for being the first one to bring my attention to the awesome new DC sets coming this year that intend to drain my wallet. The slightly different face pronts and suit designs are fantastic, and how I've yearned for a riddler Bowler hat! This is definitely going on the 'to-buy' list, and it'll be great to have a starting inspiration and pieces for my inevitable villain lair I create. Batbrick Away! -
That is fantastic! I love the detail of it, yet retaining that essential simplicity of the outer-TARDIS. The hair on the Second Doctor is perfect as well. Batbrick Away!

I quite like it. Certainly has a claim to being more frightening than the usual Batman. Batbrick Away!

Truer words have probably been spoken, but i can't be bothered finding them right now so this'll do. Fair enough, different srokes for different people. I would argue it sounds simply more like Adventure Time is not your sort of entertainment, as silliness is not necessarily a bad quality, and similar qualities such as rainbows, cupcakes etcetera are merely superficial differences, like claiming Sergio Leone's Once Upon a Time in the West is a rip off of a john Wayne film because they're both about cowboys, despite the enormous stylistic and thematic differences between them. Hey! No one insults Adam West Batman! its the reason DC still exists as a large entity! Also it was awesome. Did a watchthrough of Invader Zim a while back. love gthe show, though the repulsive nature of the world got a bit much for even me at times. Definitely sad it was cancelled though. Batbrick Away! -
I am currently reading through Tim Blanning's 'The Pursuit Of Glory', a book roughly detailing the massive social, economic, national and political changes that occured throughout the period between 1685-1815. Absoolutely fascinating for someone intrigued by history like myself (I better be too, I'm majoring in it). The insight into everyday life such as the state of roads and nature of coach travel back then is absolutely fascinating, since massive sweeping events like the Napoleonic Wars often obscure how utterly different everyday life was back then.
