I've had Jealous Tasmanian Bat because I was jealous that Tasmania didn't get those cool dust winds like the mainland, and now Purist Tasmanian Bat, but no idea when or why I got that one. Batbrick Away!

Heh, like the ending to this one, quite bittersweet for you actually KDog. Ice Babe's joke made me chuckle, as did the Robot's choice. I may be reading between panels here, but I think there was a message in there somewhere... Batbrick Away!

Awesome at so many sets are appearing so soon. Seems to me hat we get them earlier each year, which is fine by me Batbrick Away!

Fantastic job TheBrickster! I love the use of tan: my absolute favourite Lego colour. Where did you get those curved tan pieces for the wall section? The whole house is great, a nice simple look that really evokes "classic" Lego. The cannon set up is quite nice too, I love that tree too. Fantastic background as well. Another worthy addition to the Western genre! Batbrick Away!

That's my point, I want to like them, but for some reason I'm just not that enthused. Except for the Army men of course. Batbrick Away!

I love that film! I'm a huge James Bond fan too, and I think Timothy Dalton is very underrated. Living Daylights also has one of the very best villain schemes and my favourite Bond girl, which I think for some reason just comes down to that awesome fake accent and that swishy hair...it's just so...swishy... Anyhoo, watched The Emperor's New Groove moments ago, just as hilarious as before, and totally uproots and subverts so many Disney movie cliches. I really love that self aware, fourth wall breaking and lampshading humour. Swishy Hair Away!

All of Batbrick's Batman figs so far
Batbrick replied to Batbrick's topic in Minifig Customisation Workshop
Sorry to bump everyone, my computer was afflicted with a porn virus recently! (Yes you read that right; a porn virus. And don't give me that look, I don't know where it came from ) Thanks, I do like pulling obscure things from the comics, but also enjoy the animated series more and so a lot of my designs relfect the various animated incarnations. Thanks Whitefang mate, always appreciated. Yeah, I am very sad to see it go as well, espeically since the latter two years of its life were pretty wasted in my opinion. Still ,we got most of the crucial characters! And I already have several projects going to continue the theme! Sorry, they're all back in the display right now and am using them for something soon, my brickshelf folder might have something though, it's under my username. Thanks NicksBricks, I'm so very, very, very glad someone finally caught the donut! It was the subject of a rather humourous discussion when I made my GCPD and no one knew what it was Thanks again everyone! Batbrick Away! -
Fantastic design brciktw! I love the design of the roofs, and the sideways small pool alongside the little garden features really works. I also love the way you've positioned the figs as it gives the moc atmosphere Batbrick Away!

Great design Stefan, a beautifully simple and elegant design with a suitable cramped minifigure Batbrick Away!

Great creation fredde, welcome to the forum! I love the tripod there, a lot more practical than I first thought it would be, certainly one of the more original designs I've seen! Batbrick Away!

Hmm, the base looks pretty mediocre to me, not worth it at all, not even for the big daddy of the rock monsters. Morer power to those who do like it though. Batbrick Away!

Oh my! Oh my! Oh my! He's back! HE'S BACK! *Faints* Great to see you again bud, and this is a wonderful creation here! I love the very random and humourous backstory, especially that the wizard has yet to be able to turn it on and that he refuses to tread on the decorum flowers It honestly took me a while to figure out you were using a real lightbulb there The wall is fantastic, the use of random dark grey to "age it" works quite well, and the boarded up front section complete with troll flag is genius. The side of the wall is great too, I'm in love with how you've used a chain, what with my odd fascination for them. Great use of that giant troll ship flag too. The ladder to reach the top is a very simple design that I've never even thought to use...jealousy! The section around the lightbulb is great, my favourite parts are the wheel and orc swords holding it up and the ladders acting as scaffolding and ramps around it; clever use of pieces for both. I'm a sucker for neat details, so the bench has me too, I like the skull and chains on it too, or dear me those chains! The little potion/cooking area is great too, I love the shelves, but the rats cooking is just hilarious. If there's one criticism about this area it is that there are no chains! Fantastic as always mate, and even better. Glad to see you back with a new creation, even though I miss the Necrobots. I haven't a single decent criticism about it, so I'll just say it needs a cameo from your sigfig! Batbrick Away!

Very neat Black Rabbit, it has a lovely old school feel to it as well as being more detailed than a real Lego set. I'm with Hornbricker, I think the outside needs a tad more detail, but the interior is lovely! Batbrick Away!

That's great! I love the very surreal but still Indy-ish nature of it, and the different compartments for the items is great. I love the roof too, it is very simple but gives the whole thing a nice boarded design. One improvement is for the salesmen to have a platform or for the rest to be lower, but honestly I love the novelty factor of him barely being able to reach the counter, let alone reach across it! Batbrick Away!

I think you may have misunderstood what I meant? Batbrick Away!

They are still quite neat though, I love seeing people improvise yellow licensed figs. And I'd like for that bush piece to make a return, as I never get sick of it. In brown would be spectacular for Wild West, desert, Indy and post-apoc mocs. Batbrick Away!

REVIEW: Atlantis 8056 Monster Crab Clash
Batbrick replied to WesternOutlaw's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
I could like Monster Crab Thanks for another fantastic review TheBrickster. As always your pictures are crisp and precise. I quite like this little set and it seems to have some good value but ultimately is a pass for me simply for budgetary reasons. However it still is a great addition to the Atlantis theme in my opinion. Batbrick Away! -
BWAHAHAHAHA! Seriously, that is the best comeuppance I've seen in a looooong time! I really must start reading this comic, especially since you recommend it. Love the newest comic btw, the bald thing came off as forced but was too hilarious for me to care about, and I did a massive double-take on the dream thing before cracking up. And Ice Babe! Sooner than I thought too! Batbrick Away!

REVIEW: Atlantis 8060 Typhoon Turbo Sub
Batbrick replied to WesternOutlaw's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Tanks for the review TheBrickster, wonderful photography as always! I must say though that these pictures have really pointed out the flaws in this set for me. For one there is simply too much technic for me taste, and the holes show glaringly compared to Aquaraiders, which I was admittingly a fan of. Also, the lack of a good cockpit and oddball details really throw me off. I'll be skipping this set, though Sharkman I'll definitely get in a cheaper set. Batbrick Away! -
Dunechaser's one looks great, I love it. However I think the Toy Story Army Man head piece could work quite well, but we'll have to see. Batbrick Away!

It's odd, these final pics have waned me interest and yet I can't figure out why... Batbrick Away!

LEGO Atlantis Guardian of the Deep Set Review
Batbrick replied to Mariann Asanuma's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Thanks for the review Mariann Asanuma. I love the fig and your detailed pictures really show all the nice bits of him, but ultimately this is my least favourite set of the line and wasn't necessary at all in my eyes. It has a very similar construction to the Aquaraiders shark except wit strange stickers and some different features, but ultimately is very similar. Still I do love those pieces, so I hope that those who do buy it can be happy with it. Batbrick Away! -
Thanks for the review Ja7on! Love the look of this set, nice to see we get money in the Intergalactic ATM, which is conveniently like human money Great figs here, hopefully we get new alien molds later but I love that we see a little diversity in Squidman's race. The new helmet is fantastic too, I love it. As for the vehicle, I quite like it, it has a nice sturdy looking construction, but I agree there isn't nearly enough purple. I'll probably get this, but it will totally be on sale. Batbrick Away!

All of Batbrick's Batman figs so far
Batbrick replied to Batbrick's topic in Minifig Customisation Workshop
Thanks everyone! Thanks LuxorV, great so see you again! Yeah, for the most part I like to keep purist, though I occasionally make msall exceptions like painting the backs of the plant figs so the torso print is not seen and securing Freeze's dome with a thin sliver of blue tac. Thanks for the frontpage too! And yes, I plan to improve and continue making batfigs! Thanks mate, the purple fedora is one of my greatest achievements, somehow by mixing paints I got a shade nearly identical to the fig. Thanks, but there are really not that many characters I can do outside of Batman, especially Justice League considering I would need very specific prints and pieces. However I might make The Question, Shining Knight and some other obscure ones, one day. Thanks for your input Thanks friend, glad oyu commented. Oh, and for some reason I forgot the pics of all the figs together (except Joker's gang and Freeze's group, who I forgot because I'm the mental equivelant of a cabbage ) ,so I've added that to the original post. I thought I had seen Churchill before. From memory, he's the one that stated Amarillo went unconscious right? And it wasn't a good joke, but thanks anyway Hah, I never caught onto that, just pull a "oh, you're voice system malfunctioned!" Personal continuity can be a female canine I know, I'm currently working on something myself. Batbrick Away!
