Happy birthday Hobbes and Corpreal 363!!
Batbrick replied to Captain Green Hair's topic in Community
Happy birthday to both of you! May this day and the rest of 2008 treat you greatly! Batbrick Away! >:-) -
Thanks for that Vader, I love this helmet *wub* It will certainly work great as an asian dynasty war helm I reckon. Thanks again. Batbrick is Back! >:-)

Really? I think its the other way around, the new torso has the armour underneath the patterning. Batbrick is Back! >:-)

Tabletown News - Mayor caught in three-in-a-bed romp!
Batbrick replied to Doctor Sinister's topic in LEGO Town
Oh my goodness! :-D This is the single funniest thing I've read all day! :-D "Mayor Doctor Sinister has been very busy in attempting to defuse the ongoing border conflicts with BestLockLand and indeed was entertaining two young female VIPs at The Black House when they both became very hot due to a failure in the central heating system. When both of these ladies fainted, our esteemed Mayor took it upon himself as the only person in the room qualified to do anything to strip all their clothes off and attempt to revive them - vigorously. In the circumstances, the Mayor's Doctorate in "Practically Everything" was rather fortuitous as he was able to save both their lives and restore them to full health after a warm chocolate shower." :-D A warm chocolate shower? :-D Oh my goodness Dr.S, what have you been up to? Hilarious! Oh my goodness, I have nothing else to say! :-D Batbrick is Back! >:-) -
Thanks for this excellent review Vader! It seems you are succumbing to the Castle side of the force. I love the new helmet, and the new Orc torso is fantastic as well, which is great to see that the Troll Faction has many ranks too. The Troll himself I love, I agree with you in saying I prefer the sand green version. The battle wagon is cool, one of the better wagon designs, and the flag is a great touch which improves it. Sadly the back is rather empty, but a few mods'll change that :-) And of course this set includes the infamous chicken pole! One pic request, if you have time Vader, could you please post a few pics of the new helmet on its own, and on a human soldier please? Batbrick is Back! >:-)

Welcome back BB (you not me ;-) ), I hope you get some nice rest. What MOCing did you do? Or aren't I allowed to know? Anyway, today our house is being repainted, which is pretty annoying. The interior that is, so the whole house echoes. It also means that when the time comes to paint my room there is a LOT of Lego and other junk to move. Still, life is treating me pretty good, I'm going back to work now that I'm no longer sick, which is nice to earn money, to lose on more Lego, DVDs and a much needed graphic novels update. Thanks Brainbox :-) , I too like the bay exposed, but I wanted to have a cover as well. That is why I they only attach by one stud on each end, so they are easily removed. Thanks for your comments on my mods too, I like the batfins on the Batboat, but I found them to take up too much space and more unnecessary than the other bat-vehicles. I like how it looks though. And yes, I did love that Battank mod of yours, thanks again for letting me borrow the idea. I like either version the Riddler, I put this hair on him because I like it too, and so it would look a little more customized :-$ Thanks (again!) for your kind words and compliments, I'm glad you enjoyed your haircut, which was only "much needed", because it hadn't changed in a while ;-) Batbrick is Back! >:-)

Good point again, but overall I'm getting these for the minifigs, and the new torso is better anyway. Batbrick is Back! >:-)

I can't believe I just WROTE all that! X-O Good idea, its a win/win situation! What are you all looking at me for? True, its a very likely tale, and wraps up the whole conspiracy. Except for the Hollywood Penguin craze connection to the Middle Eastern War, that one will take a while... Batbrick is Back! >:-)

Firstly, welcome back Brainbox :-) That doesn't mind me, as long as it looks like he could fit into it, and works pretty well, I'd call it success. Well you've certainly got me beat :-D . I like the Abomination though, I hope this years Incredible Hulk does him justice. I must say you aren't helping this stereotyping thing much, seeing as I too collect Empire magazine, albeit, I get it much sooner :-P I haven't redeemed myself at all, not many people will go near me if they think I'm gong to go all "comic book geek mode" on them. Good point, as you know, I'm a fan of the DC Animated Universe. I didn't like Batman beyond much, but I thought the feature film featuring the Joker had a great evil deed for him to do that didn't just involve killing someone. Namely, the part where he brainwashes Robin through weeks of torture intp becoming his own "son", J.J. The ultimate joke on Batman really. And he is a better character now, despite the contrived "bring 'em back from the dead!" plot line. Yes, we shall mention him no longer, though I do like Mr. Mxyzptlk, he's always funny. Thanks for that, he has some great customs in there, though I can't figure out why everyone is so bent on giving Jervis Tetch such enormous hats, even for him. Thanks, your only about two weeks late X-D . Australian magazine, I get it early. Still, thanks for bringing that up, I never have anyone to talk about that with. Yes, it states that he would "follow his fall" (refering to previous D.A) and that he would be the "White Knight" of the city, which makes me excited to no end. Speaking of everyone's favourite District Attorney, have you read Nolan's statement about Harv being the backbone of the film's plot. You can see it on EmpireOnline.net if you haven't. I am loving that news, as Nolan refers to the Joker as "having no character arc, he's a force of nature tearing through the film", which is a great way to approach the Joker in my humble opinion. That way, Joker serves as a great plot device to move the story forward, and thus all character focus will be on Harv and bruce while all action and crazy stuff will be with the Joker. And Two-Face is my absolute favourite Bat-Villain, so I can't wait! :'-) Too bad I embarrassingly don't have The Long Halloween or Dark Victory, I going to get TLH for my upcoming birthday though so I'm happy. Read them of course, but I would love that hardcover edition.... As for the sets, which we almost never talk about ( :-D ), toyfair is slated to show them early February, so I finally get to see if the Commissioner is in. Do you know if they show the final version or just prelims too? Either way, can't wait. Batbrick is Back! >:-)

It is definitely, without a doubt, and, no offense TheBrickster, obviously a jar of ancient tree ember with a millenia old mosquito trapped inside. No doubt these mosquitoes were being retrieved for a project to attempt to extract dinosaur DNA from them, in order to clone a line of species of land-based dinosaurs in an amusement park. This raked in billions, giving the benefactors much needed funds to begin scouting the world for the Holy Grail, Ark of the Covenant, Stolen Treasure, Aztec Idol and of course the much sought after Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. Unfortunately these forces encountered a rather anti-heroic archaeologist who proceeded to beat them to every item but for the last one. Arriving quickly at the Kingdom, the mysterious forces motives were made clear when it was revealed the Crystal Skulls were actually a portal through the space-time continuum. Unfortunately, these meddling miscreants did not know the true power of the forces they were tampering, and they were quickly pulled through time and dumped out in medieval earth, just around the time of the Great War. Struggling to survive, the time travellers joined forces with the human/dwarf alliance Crown Kingdom, but were quickly press ganged into fighting the marauding invasion of the Undead, led by the malicious Sorcerer, and the Orcs, led by a series of Orc leaders who had proved themselves worthy of this position. Luckily, using their intellect and knowledge of the future, they managed to defeat the combined forces. The Sorcerer, bent on revenge, hurtled a lightning bolt at the travellers, desintergrating half their group and sending the other half into two separate places in time and space. One group landed in a galaxy a long time ago, far far away. There they were forced to watch the horror of Soap Opera dialogue and lame romance cliches before shifting to cool battles that were constantly interrupted by two stupid robot's antics. This group never made it back, but happily died of old age when the Civil War broke out, and at last classic enjoyment could be had while watching exciting characters, great battles and father plot twists. The only surviving group of two men entered another dimension, outside of our own universe. There much fun was had. Well, except for the part where they joined the Exo-Force team in a sadly long and repetitive battle over an admittingly stupid system of bridges. After the war was over, the robots and mechs became scrap metal, which really, when you think about it, defeats the purpose of making them in the first place. The remaining two had not much time to complain however, as they were already piloting a futuristic plane and driving a black supermobile in a series of adventures where they became a couple of masked crusaders for justice in a city run by freaks, clowns, gangsters and refrigerator themed villains. Upon retiring, a black hole in a 1- 9898890596890506034590924594676011095742679 chance opened up right behind the two, pulling them back into their own time ands dimension. They then decided to sell their story as a series of comic books, which are famous even today. With this being a success, they decided to sell their story also to a large toy making company, which then proceeded to sell a line based on their wacky adventures. The original information was eventually lost however and now the products seem to have no common strand but for a few "lines". This is how the forklift is carrying those containers, because two men once did. As for those two men? Rumour has it the toy company keeps a close eye on them for new ideas. Their most recent exploits involved travelling to Mars in search of already readily available crystals, and to fight very inarticulate jelly based lifeforms to get them. Upon returning, they vanished, though a lead claims they gone back to work for their old boss, who now wants them to save the world by becoming Agents............. And thats how it all happened! *sweet* Batbrick is Back! >:-)

A very cool looking tide line, and the rock formations and plantations look very good as well. Great Job! *y* Batbrick is Back! >:-)

But you get heaps of crossbows in the Crossbow Attack sets! As for the barrels, good point, but I still think its the weakest of the impulses, I would've preferred a skellie army builder with no horse or something. Batbrick is Back! >:-)

Or have I? MUHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! *skull* I don't know, maybe it just me doing this: "MUHAHAHJAHAHAHAHA! *skull* " all the time, could be..... Anyway, great review, I think I will get 5 of these X-D Batbrick Away! >:-)

An excellent first time (?) review iamded! *y* Well, atleast a first time Redman review anyway. I really enjoy Redman, I hope to see him pop up more often. Your pics are great now that you ditched the phone :-P , and you've shown the set from many different angles and perspectives. Thanks for this brilliant review, you have certainly convinced me to get a few of these, and then some X-D Redman ON! EDIT: BTW, is it just me, or does my new avatar make me seem a bit creepy? 8-| Batbrick is Back! >:-)
-
Nice one, very simple and the Riddler goggles (?) definitely make him seem like a wrestler. I agree, Crazy hair on! Batbrick is Back! >:-)
-
And six aud *sweet* I'm not liking that Catapult impulse much, old torso, a useless accessories. I'll get one for completion, but the sentry and others are FAR better. Batbrick is Back! >:-)

Happy Birthday to you three! Hope you have a great day and a great 2008 in all! *sweet* Batbrick is Back! >:-)

Ah, I see. That would be annoying, but like you said, that was the ENTIRE point of the thing :-/ You still plan to use bestlock soldiers in mocs though? I will miss seeing them in wanted posters and handcuffs :'-( Still, the blue grunts are a good idea, perhaps you could eat a bit more cake by saying they are clone brand sympathises. Sorry, I am going off topic, this is a great little comic and I hope to see more! Batbrick is Back! >:-)

Thanks for this great look at your beautiful MOC Hinckley, I love this academy. Sorry to say my vote went to Sinner, I loved Strife. Still, it was a very hard competition, and this is a very worthy moc (considering it won :-P ). I love the clean, victorian (or whatever age, you get what I mean :-$ ) look of it, and the Artemis Fighter is very well designed, even if you didn't know what thrusters were at the time X-D The landing gear in particular I like. Thanls also for the pics showing your progress, it is always interesting to see that and you made a lot of innovative and smart choices. Overall, a real winner! Batbrick is Back! >:-)

Oh, please, it takes YEARS of fieldwork to stalk as good as I do! X-D Anyeway, WOW! How did I miss this awesome world in my favourite theme -post apoc- that you have created zero1312! X-O Very sorry, I will comment now. I love that juggernaut, he is a beautiful design, the rocket man is also very cool and has a cool way of intergrating the magic ball I had never thought of. The ghoul elite is also awesome with his creepy weapon and evil costume *y* And I love Jack Romba! Mostly because you used Bane's head, but he just isn't your typical hero either *y* Thanks for this awesome Post-Apoc world zero, I can't wait to see more of it! Batbrick is Back! >:-)

I agree, luckily I've got it all planned out. Use the peices from the handle and other bits to make the, er, platform reach lower to the ground. Then, add a small, barely noticable tail that can keep it stable, without being ridicously long. Infact, I might use a few technic beams and add a small wheel at the modified back, that would be best of all I think. It is a shamethe Orc has the old chestpeice, but the other sets have the new one, I guess this is TLC's way of saying they are allied to the skellies, which I can accept. Batbrick is Back! >:-)
-
Prepare to be disappointed my friend :-P Still, great ideas, I really hope the inevitable dwarf impulse will include a gold peice and wingless helmet. Batbrick is Back! >:-)
-
:-$ , wow, that was pretty obvious in retrospect :-$ . Thanks The Penguin. I agree, a bowler hat NEEDS to be made. Thanks for your compliments on my mocs too *sweet* Thanks, I like it when people want to try out my mods, the Mr.Freeze suit is merely a printed torso and legs from a space set, but any techno printed blue or black legs and torso will do ;-) Thanks Lord Of Pies! I agree, the dish, while cool as a spotlight, is too big, unfortunately I have only one black dish that is smaller than this one but that is Penguin's unmbrella. When I get the Penguin set coming out this year, I will make it look better. Thanks for your kind words on my batmobile(s) and Mr.Freeze :'-) Batbrick is Back! >:-)

Another great episode Dr.S! I love the casual conversation. My only gripe is the similarity to the previous one, perhaps if this was ep 12 instead it would be better. Funny all the same though :-D And I love the Blue Grunts, aree they Spec-ops or something? I hope to see more of them. EDIT: Nevermind, they are to "be revealed" :-$ . Batbrick is Back! >:-)
