  1. This non-existent set shall never be forgotten, it will live on in the memory of Eurobricks members, their children, and their children's children. Never forget the shrouded penguin and his orange globe headed henchman, nor the nonsensical dancers who support littering. Let us praise those who attempt to recreate its awe, such as Dr.S's beautiful work. Let us strive towards MOCing things more akin to this. Let us get through these awful times of despair and sadness as we slowly realise we will never truly see this set. Let us never come to lament this discovery though, as it is golden moment that will change each and everyone of use. Let us help our poor, good friend Hinckley through what is now the most traumatic, depressing time of his life. Let us give this set its peace, and never forget....... :'-( Batbrick is Back! >:-)
  2. Thanks, but you aren't meant to like the truck! >:-( :-P Thankyou, feel free to steal my ideas! And yes, thankyou, the APC is UGLY! Thanks, I think the turret is the best. And I feel sorry for those soldiers too, damn you UGLY truck! *sing* :-D , thanks for this very detailed compliments iamded, and, er, Redman! I noticed that the bike was missing that peice too, whoops! :-$ The Spyboat i forgot to mention has short range submersible equipment, which will allow it to sneak under the waves for as long as the driver's breath will allow. Good to see you enjoy the tank! Thanks for your words on the troop carrier, and thanks for joining me in my hatred for that UGLY truck! :-X I think the turret is the best, the good thing is that almost all of it is made out of common pieces, thanks for your comments, I will have ten shipped to you by friday! And yay! We finally shook hands! Batbrick is Back! >:-)
  3. Wow! I think that has got to be the best description I've ever read, it totally sums it all up! :'-) Batbrick Away! >:-)
  4. :'-( , the magic is lost forever........ The contest is still on though I presume? Good. Because my idea is so great it doesn't even make sense and really hasn't been fully formulated yet! Which is perfect! Because a proper idea is too logical, I need an idea that is unlogical! dislogical! illogical! biological! Imagine if TLC actually made a line like this, it would be, like, the best line ever! X-D Only on EB would you find a contest like this... Batbrick is Back! >:-)
  5. Lately I've made a few military mocs to defend my City against invaders. Several members were kind enough to lend their forces while my peaceful town's research department created defence programs for me. Finally, though I am still a bit vulnerable, my forces are now fairly well equipped for battle and recon. First up, here is a bit of a repeat of my first vehicles to come to service: My assault bikes, seen here being commisioned with Dr.S's approval, following the assemblance of the EN: My Spy Boat, seen here with an angry iamded, er, not wanting to shake my hand, and me not wanting to shake his X-D : My Strike Tank, seen here with BigT, who was bribed into bringing supplies after I bought him a new fancy suit: My ugly but effective Troop Carrier, seen here with my good army friend Exobuilder: Another shot with troops on it: Now, here is the oldest vehicle in my service, The Armoured Transport Truck: Good grief this thing is ugly! And its not even very reliable, my troops call it the "Firebox", because of its tendency to not open properly when under, or on, fire. Oh my goodness its ugly! Its boxy and ugly! Here is a few shots of it open: AAARRGGHH! ITS SO UGLY! Luckily thats the last we'll be seeing of it, as the last of them are being decommissioned to be replaced by a better, less boxy model :'-) Anyhoo, my defense turret, which are placed around key locations: And lastly, my loyal troops and their weapons. My troops wear uniforms akin to police officers to appear more friendly to the community. Here are two wielding the latest pistols, which are supremely accurate: And another soldier wielding the heavy cannon, a powerful and deadly weapon: Hope you liked! Comments appreciated. And Criticisms too! Especially on that UGLY Truck! :-X Brickshelf gallery here: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=290561 Batbrick is Back! >:-)
  6. I agree, they never fail! :-D This one was great as usual, but 13 remains my favourite for now. I especially like this bit: "My rifle's getting HOT - I think it's on fire!" :-D Great work Dr.S, you sure are cranking these things out fast! Batbrick is Back! >:-)
  7. Thankyou. If it is mainly City to be focused on, then I wouldn't go cupboards. Cupboards take up far less space and look good, but City needs to be on a large flat surface, or else it just ends up being a bit of a mess. Depends on what you want really, Dr.S's great Tabletown has many strange happenings and citizens, you could go down that route and include the Batmobile and Indy cars. However, if you want a more orderly City, then perhaps you could put your collections in shelves, and have city on display, or mix the themes evenly like other members have suggested :-) . Batbrick is Back! >:-)
  8. Um, not sure if this helps, but I just display my themes in a separate cupboard space, I think it works pretty well, here is one wall: Just excuse my clothes and rubbish everywhere :-$ I think its rather effective though. However, I think if it is a table display, then maybe different areas are the way to go. Don't care about "mixing", because mixing the themes, like City blending into Wild West, gives it a very otherworldly, lego feel :-) Batbrick Away! >:-)
  9. Good spotting, I noticed this before too, it seems the armour does not include the skellie symbol, which is kinda cool. Thanks for more pictures Cardinal Brick, I love this set, and MUST get it! Does anyone know the price in Aus dollar? I hope it isn't too much. It also looks like that handle is easily modified. Batbrick is Back! >:-)
  10. Ah, fair enough, thats fine then. I look forward to more, and anticipate these running gags *sweet* Batbrick is Back! >:-)
  11. I honestly laughed out lout when I read this one, mainly because of the last two comments :-D I especially like that it was a higher rank at the end! My one criticism is probably the lack of any real set in this one, but apart from that, great, humorous and absurd work yet again Dr.S! Batbrick is Back! >:-)
  12. Captured our imagination! :'-) Batbrick is Back! >:-)
  13. Only on EB could you get a contest based on such a weird thing! :-D Batbrick is Back! >:-)
  14. I already saved them! :-P X-D Batbrick is Back! >:-)
  15. Thanks for these instructions Chuck! *sweet* Batbrick is Back! >:-)
  16. I'm hoping that Poison Ivy get her own set too. I have no problem in a character being in more than one set, infact, I welcome it. I want to see another Bane set, Poison Ivy set with a plant and a Two-Face set so I can get a second henchman. Batbrick is Back! >:-)
  17. AAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! :-D Haha! :-D This is going to VERY interesting, I'd better start thinking of what the heck I'm ever going to do. Truly this will be the most amazing contest ever :'-) Wait, I'm confused. Batbrick is Back! >:-)
  18. This is a funny thread, congrats on the title! *sweet* Now, don't EVER, I repeat EVER, post in the following threads: "Batman 08" "Castle Sets 2008" "City Set Pics for 2008" "Interactive Apocalypse" (thats a BIG no-no!) And anything else I like or posted, PLEASE? :-P Batbrick is Back! >:-)
  19. I sort mostly by type, and then by colour. Bricks are sorted by colour, the rest are pretty much by piece. Batbrick is Back! >:-)
  20. Its obviously a very rare case of atleast five different dimensional planes colliding with each other in the middle of a galactic invasion. Batbrick is Back! >:-)
  21. Yay! And I'd say we were still on topic, since the 08 torsos are part of the 08 line :-P Thanks, I'll have my men set up as different battalions, but I like iamded's idea, the new torso seems like a guard torso, something you would see in the castle. Batbrick is Back! >:-)
  22. :-D , this is easily my favourite so far. Great work as always Dr.S, I just love the absurdity of your humour. Batbrick is Back! >:-)
  23. Why? Its his review, and a very good one at that, I don't see why he needed to link anything. Be glad that he was kind enough to take the time to write up this review. Now we have two different opinions on a set, which is great, there is no need for him to give credit to you, its his review :-) Batbrick is Back! >:-)
