I couldn't see any other topic about this, but if it must be closed or merged, then my apologies. I'm really excited about the Dark Knight, so when I heard that Bruce Timm, maker of the brilliant Batman: The Animated Series was making an anime tie in with the movie, I couldn't be more happy. Now I'm not a huge fan of anime, but the very little I have seen I really liked, and I'm open to different, exciting mediums. A bit of making-of footage has been released about this exciting six part series, which is looking great with the intro of Manbat, Killer Croc and Deadshot. Anyhoo, here ya go: http://www.superherohype.com/news/topnews.php?id=6798 Enjoy, I certainly did! ;-) Batbrick Away! >:-)

Hello again, just thought I'd share the two EN vehicles I made two days ago, for y town forces. First up is my new mini APC, which though small is replacing my ugly old boxy one. It is heavily armoured, and even has two hulled "wings" over the treads for grenade and fire protection. It has two large cannons at the nose, which can be rotated, for defense: Exit and entrance for the driver and passengers is via the back, which is also heavily protected: If follows the usual black/white colour scheme of my other Eurobricks Nations forces: As my research department, which is the best weapon I have as of now, furthers development, my vehicles have become more sleek and less studdy: Heres how the back opens up: Rear view, Batbrick Valley is proud of this little machine, which though very small, is very fast and can hold a surprising three troops and driver: The second vehicle is a less war oriented one, a supply truck, a much needed resource: Again it has the black/white colour scheme: This transporter, though fairly simple, is ideal for defence supply, as it is very speedy for such a vehicle, and very sturdy: Its hull is bulletproof, I, mayor of Brickbat Valley, believe in quality over quantity, so though the price of these vehicles prevents us from mass producing on a large scale, we still get our fair share of top notch hardware: It can hold quite a bit of cargo, and special strands of steel can be tightened around larger supplies to hold even more: The back opens up for easy supply retrieval: Taking out the cargo: The two together, part of my growing forces, which I hope will not have to be used, unless I want to X-D Hope you liked, comments and critics welcome! *sweet* Batbrick Away! >:-)

Indiana Jones Part 4 - Set Pictures are available
Batbrick replied to Navy Trooper Fenson's topic in LEGO Licensed
Me either, though if I do, its a nice source of tan and dark tan pieces, but ultimately a pretty disappointing set. Batbrick Away! >:-) -
Indiana Jones and the Temple of the Lost Skulls
Batbrick replied to DoubleT's topic in Culture & Multimedia
No, the story is by George Lucas, but The Script is by David Koepp, which means no more crappy romance dialogue ala the awful prequel trilogy :-X Batbrick Away! >:-) -
Ah yes, I see now. I agree too, however you must realise that StarWars is different as it has a lot more focus characters and is a film series, as opposed to comic books. That said, they should make more sets like Arkham or the Batcave, and quick, before all the vehicles run out. I hope to see the line change its "policy" next year, if it get a fourth wave (please let it!), so that it will be more diverse. Plus vehicles restrict the amount of figs too, you can have two vehicles out of a whole lot of bricks, but ultimately two drivers. Batbrick Away! >:-)

Indiana Jones and the Temple of the Lost Skulls
Batbrick replied to DoubleT's topic in Culture & Multimedia
Yes, it is the same place. I hope the Ark or Crystal Skulls don't get recovered by Indy in this, its kind of staple that indy never really gets the Artifact at the end. I'm still a little worried about the use of CGI in this, but hey, atleast George Lucas isn't writing it! :-P Batbrick Away! >:-) -
I'd like to see more buildings as well, and vehicles too. I don't understand though, are you saying you want it to be like StarWars and just have one vehicle in a set, or you want it to have buildings instead of vehicles? Or both? Of course, that and Oracle, Green Ivy and any other form of Babs for you X-D I still think he's far too obscure, not to mention I personally think he's a cheap character. Black Mask on the other hand... Not to mention a sleek batboat, unless that would be the batsubmersible, which would work. A nice sleek design that doesn't even need to transform much. A batplane would be great too, though it'd have to have a really different design to the Batwing. Question is, what other sort of Batmobile should they make? I have Gordon and Batgirl at the top of my lists right now, Oracle and Batwoman would be fantastic as well. Lucius Fox I'd take, and an out-of-costume Dick Grayson and tim Drake in Wayne Manor. I had forgotten about Scarface, he's one of my favourites, I'd love to see him, though I'd want the dummy mold to look good and be small enough. Clayface is another for me, and rereleases of Bane and Poison Ivy. Not to mention other incarnations like a green Ivy and classic suit Riddler. I agree, the first wave got it best: Small set get vehicles, Largest set Buildings. They should do that again, have a building the price of Arkham as a Wayne Manor playset, with the same number or more figs, most, like Arkham, new at the time. I wish they'd done that this year, even as an exclusive. Which ones would you like to see? These a version we haven't see yet in an alternate Batcave model in the instruction booklets that looks nice. That would brilliant, I'd love to see something special. Someone else mentioned a 60's Batmobile too, they should give us a UCE one at some point. Really, as much as people say there isn't much left in this line, they've really only scratched the surface with this line, heres hoping they keep digging. Batbrick Away! >:-)

Andrex here with a Lego Batman Screenshot Blowout!
Batbrick replied to Andrex's topic in Culture & Multimedia
Thanks for that, sounds fun. I look forward to unlocking some of my favourite characters. I wonder what will be in place of 'True Jedi Status' in this one, if anything. Frank Gorshin's Riddler is my favourite. Its such a classic show, too bad I barely get to watch them here, they don't screen them much at all sadly. The "POW"s and "BAM"s are also very staple, I love those. Yeah, still, the first hasn't come out, I'll just look forward to that. I wonder how non-Arkham villains will play into the story, seeing as the released info states its an Arkham breakout, I wonder how Manbat or Catwoman will play in. Catwoman is actually pretty simple, though I look forward to seeing how Manbat is adapted and how he looks in lego form. Batbrick Away! >:-) -
Indiana Jones and the Temple of the Lost Skulls
Batbrick replied to DoubleT's topic in Culture & Multimedia
I'm very impressed, it looks fantastic, however I'm a little concerned of the use of CGI in the film, it seems that there is quite a bit of it, which Spielberg said there wouldn't be much at all. That aside, fantastic, I shall be there on opening day. Batbrick Away! >:-) -
Yeah I'm starting to get more too, I finally ended up getting The Long Halloween, brilliant read, so I'll be making a vig of that in the next Bat Mocs'N'Mods Treat. Now I've just got....a lot, to go :'-( Good point, as much as we complain they've certainly done a great job at not making it too light, yet still remaining funny. Hmm, Ace the Bat-Hound, that could be a new set :-D Again, as much as we complain, they've done a brilliant job of all the versions of the characters, as well as histories, timelines and incarnations, that really, we shouldn't be complaining that much. The first wave contained fifteen different characters (including batsuits) so anything after that and of course we'll be disappointed, but at the end of the day, when the line finishes, we'll have them all. And then theres the game... Batbrick Away! >:-)

Got the Creator Holiday House today, what a beautiful little set! *wub* I love it, and can't wait to display it in my neighborhood, and that little barbecue is a treat! Batbrick Away! >:-)

Wow! This is great LuxorV, I love the use of brown ladders as the sides of the wagon. The Blck Falcons are a great faction, I wish I still had some. I love the shields up the front too. Tiny criticism, I think there should be a small rod to go through the clips at the ladders end at the back of the wagon, but apart from that, perfect my friend *y* Batbrick Away! >:-)

Ouch, but then what should I complain about, you living in Hobart and all that, tsk tsk *n* Not to mention your geographical location really goes against the theory that you are a walrus, most trifling to say the least. Batbrick Away!

Remind me to try that sometime, I love milkshakes, that sounds tasty *wub* BTW, TheBrickster, since you scored a ten, how's the family fortune been going? X-D Batbrick Away! >:-)

A good point was brought up about the sheer scale of the new boats, I'd fear for my wallet and maybe even my bank account if they were brick built! I'll always vouch for a floaty hull on the large ships, but the little ones need to be brickbuilt, that way our own alternates can be built, and when we no longer want them on display they can be broken down. That said, the brick built hulls should preferably have useful hull pieces, I don't want it made out of a couple of <insert that tiresome argument> ones or something I won't use much,, so there are many variables to both. That said again, after laughing at all the stories of rubber duckies and floating bathtub boats, i may just try it soon :-D Batbrick Away! >:-)

Good, I was hoping you wouldn't, I fully respect yours and others choices with what to do with sets. Thats one thing I hate too, dust, I'm hoping to get cupboard doors one day to minimise the damage. If you don't mind me asking, how long have you been into Lego? I know its been far longer than I, I also recall you collecting Playmobil too, how did that begin? Batbrick Away! >:-)

Bulding mocs. I've collected Lego sets on and off my whole life, and over the last three years have gotten way back into it. I only displayed them for a while, but lately I've discovered the great fun of Mocing and started to make just about anything really. It also makes having all those bricks feel more worthwhile, knowing they won't just be collecting dust on shelves (no offense intended, of course ;-) ), but I also love having them on display, so I have a three way lego hobby going: Here on EB, Making constantly changing displays, and mocing too. All in all this leaves not much time left either though, but its all good fun. That said, while I am certainly not new to Lego, I am fairly new to large scale collecting. Batbrick Away! >:-)

You people are boring! Its a fun test that makes you feel insecure about yourself and your Oreo eating skills, take it.......wait for it........lightly :-P I thought it was funny anyway, though the way you guys are going like a fun vacuum there won't be anything to laugh about soon :-( Batbrick Away! >:-)

I probably spend too much time on here, though lately it has not detracted from my newfound love of Lego building, as you can see in my sig. Just today I built an APC and supply truck, yesterday the Deep Sea Crawler, and the day before that something else. It was definitely a problem before though, I enjoyed my time on here so much I forgot what we're all on here for: LEGO! :-D But now I've reached a nice balance, and I deeply enjoy MOCing. I balance this out by going to my room often after the computer, and keeping containers in an easy spot to just start mocing and let my imagination run wild. Batbrick Away! >:-)

You were at one stage I think ;-) I got: 3. Slow and Methodical. You follow the rules. You're very tidy and orderly. You're very meticulous in every detail with every thing you do to the point of being anal retentive and irritating to others. Stay out of the fast lane if you're only going to go the speed limit Hmm, well I AM tidy and orderly, and i do love detail, though I'm not sure I go down to the tiniest little detail that it annoys people, aggravates people, enrages people or some other emotion one does not like to feel. Or maybe I do, but I do not realise it, the thirds of life. That which everybody knows about you, that which only you know about you, and that which only others know about you. Could it be that I am ignoring, or perhaps even oblivious, to my own rants and annoying detail pursuits? Or is it all you who are wrong? Then again, who says you do think I am anal retentive? Me? You? Who? Perhaps you are all a figment of my imagination, but then again that is crazy talk. Ultimately, it is a clash of two point of views, two separate realities, yours and mine. So while I may object to this description, there is a large chance that not a doubt will be raised at it from the other side of the spectrum. Also, I'm not the most reckless person around... Ah I see. Still, I'll easily rank characters above generics, but I agree there needs to be more minifigs in sets. If no new characters, then put a henchman in the Harley and Penguin set TLC. I assume the normal gun molds will be in each set, except maybe the smallest one. I would like to see a badguy hideout a lot. Its an easy way of introducing more villains (Mad Hatter, Black Mask), maybe even a kidnapped hero (Batgirl, Commissioner Gordon) and of course Bats and Henchmen. This is why we need to fully support the Batman theme those who want new characters, so we can assure a fourth wave :'-) Batbrick Away! >:-)

I have one of the old UFO sets, which never looked good on the box, also because of several large parts, but I think they're very underrated and are great sets. Insectoids was another theme that was underrated, I have the medium dragonfly set, that though has the large light up stick, is very neat and has some good construction. Hope that helps :-) Batbrick Away! >:-)

Yeah i'm kind of the same, I don't really like fighting mechs, so mine so far are: Worker Mech - Working (no really?) Armed Mech Variant - Fighting (the only one so far) Boxy Red Robot Mech - Toy Deep sea walker - Creature And I would say yours is superior, I'm a pretty amateur mech builder, but I'm happy with this one *sweet* Batbrick Away! >:-)

I think its self piloted, I was so excited about showing it I never bothered putting a guy in there 8-| Its kind of biomechanical, so I'd say it was its own intelligence. Thanks for your comments, I used up just about every dark green brick i own on it, and I'm glad you like the poses, maybe I won't crush your probably superior mech, yet. Batbrick Away! >:-)
