THANKYOU! Yes, the Crystal Reaper is an amazing deal for me, I was really hoping to get that one, and was expecting a minimum price of $100, but this is great! Batbrick Away!

thanks for that info! I just checked the Aus price now, thanks! It is pretty good, but of course I'll still be downsizing it a little, I'll have to find a way to thin those technic pieces... Yeah, in Aus it is 18 and 80 dollars, which is about what I expected. Given that the Battank was a smaller or equal set for 120, I'd say this is good Thanks, this is good news. I hope to see some reviews soon Batbrick Away!

I love the Speed Racer sets! I have the Grand Prix, Truck and Speed Racer set and they are fantastic, lots of great colours in great slopes, with awesome windshields and fantastic minifigs. I don't think it'll flop even if them movie does, they are very cool sets that a lot of kids and AFOLS are getting. I hadn't even heard of Speed racer sets till the movie was announced, but I'm interested. Of course, I foolishly took apart my Mach 5 yesterday, now i have to put it back together so I can mod it once I see the film Batbrick Away!

When does the IJ game come out in Aus? I want it... Batbrick Away!

Fabuland Builders Guild - Discussion Thread
Batbrick replied to Shadows's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Thanks, I'll try and cook up something, I just have no idea what Is official fabuland pieces needed? All I have is the mouse and his rod, can I still officially make a fabuland moc if it is just scaled right? Batbrick Away! -
Fabuland Builders Guild - Discussion Thread
Batbrick replied to Shadows's topic in Special LEGO Themes
I received a fabuland Sailor Mouse with fishing rod from my cousin yesterday. I'm not sure on this Fabuland builders thing (I'm actually really afraid to post my final Interactive apocalypse part as I'd have to fight to keep it on the first page!) but I'd like to make a few things. Is that, er, okay? Batbrick Away! -
Thankyou very much Whitefang, this is a much appreciated comment! I thankyou for the comment, I still regard myself as a rather average builder but thanks, I'm very happy with this one Batbrick Away!

I'm all up for a "favourite movie scene in vig form" contest, I'd love to see a lot of great movie scenes! Batbrick Away!

Simply beautiful TheBrickster, your talent never ceases to amaze me! This is easily one of my top favourites so far, what brilliant construction and appropriate piece use here. The little details like the waiting Jebediah, rifle, scorpion and barrels really give a good detailed feel. Great use of dark orange, I wish I had more of that colour, it fits in perfectly here and the railing looks right in place. The windows and doors look great as well, very wild west and old time, especially the awesome touch of the wooden boards in front of them. The spider is great too, I wish I had one in that colour. One little criticism is the frown door on the second floor, I don't care much about old and new colours mixing but I think it looks a little out-of-place. I didn't notice the owl for a while either, I like that. The roof I really like too, a very clean and good looking design that really adds to the feel and atmosphere of the station. Now I know the sign and clock are edited in, but they do look very fantastic, brilliant work. Overall I very much love this moc, I never get tired of Grave Stone and they give me a heap of inspiration so thankyou TheBrickster, I hope you do make this Ghost Train! Batbrick Away!

Whatever this man says, don't listen, go by your instincts instead of taking hints from his words, for he is a snake, with a tongue like a double edged sword!

You should like them more. I mean, I won't worship them, but I love Watchmen and (to a lesser extent) V for Vendetta. Ah yes, I probably should have been more clear on that. My favourite incarnations: Barry and Wally. I think I like Wally more, though to be honest, I never really read much Flash. Batbrick Away!

Er, sounds like I'll skip it then, I'm still trying to get all the major comics and then get the lesser ones in order of continuity. And gang war boring? Never! TLH was great and gang war was a crucial element! I am pretty good at both. I might post my "The Creature" war story I had to write for English once. It's very black, very black. Character elements ARE hard to right but I find them the greatest parts of any stories. Yeah, I used Cruncher Block's suit torso for Matches, I might post a pic. Also, other things I'm using: Indy Nazis = Ra's henchman. They often wear tan militaristic uniforms, and though it is a bit of a stretch, they are simply too good not to display. What do you think? Smiley flesh head + black lockhart hair + Speed Racer red mechanic shirt = Out-of-costume Tim Drake. Speed Racer Grey Ghost head + Speed Racer blue shirt and white pants + black hair = Out-of-costume Nightwing. Marion dress + Speed Racer Trixie face + Castle princess brown hair + revolver ( ) = Talia Cruncher Block face + custom decal + yet-to-be-acquired green cape + yet-to-be acquired black JJ Jameson hair + sword = Ra's Al Ghul Cannonball Taylor face + Speed Racer announcer suit + brown hair = Sal Maroni. And a few others I've missed, I think they work good. Batbrick Away!

I agree, despite my hatred of war this is a just act, well said there Brian!
-
I disagree here, SirNadroj's were great, but I like this better as it chooses not to accommodate a fig and is thus more faithful to the look. Great job! Batbrick Away!

No problem, I was looking forward to it for a while and it paid off. Nice, when you say "make my Batcave" do you mean extend? Oh dear! It's horrible! Kaff Kaff! *chokes* Yes, in black it would look a little Black Fantasy really. I think the dish works though. No! I never want to see that car again! It works well enough, I too can't see a much better way than upscaling it. No Batfan says "I can't be bothered" about their subject That's better. Now, what are you going to do for the Batwing? He's fine still, I like the cowl, a good cross between a proper one and the "motorcycle helmet cowl" in Lego. Scary...... Thanks for including me though, I think... Batbrick Away!

Yeah, as I said before, worse comes to worse, parts package for a more efficient Tumbler. That said, the Batpod will also have to be downsized for me, I mean, I know the Batvehicles are meant to be big, but strewth! Batbrick Away!

You just don't give up do you? But yes, it is a fantastic deal, and I do believe a small sign of a Pirates return. Batbrick Away!

Die, now. And another non-female character (to stay on topic) for me is The Flash, but I can never decide between the two incarnations. I've never been a fan of GL though.. Batbrick Away!

Featuring three of my favourite Bat-villains! It's a good time to be alive! Are any of them good? At this early stage of finally getting my graphic novels I'd prefer to get the key ones first. Nice, I'd like to see some of that one day, sounds good. I'd try it one day too, but for now I just love writing, especially when they read my "anonymous" essay in front of the class yesterday Though I do like to draw Batstuff, I really need to work on it though.., That can happen? I definitely find the Indy sets useful for my Batworld, like Mutt's hairpiece for Matches Malone. Batbrick Away!

Thanks for being here and giving TheBrickster someone to chat to about WW! Batbrick Away!

We'll atleast I'm not the only one I'd agree there, MM is shaping up to be agreat theme fro me and worthy of the "Spoce" Title, at this rate I hope it continues to next year, 2008 is TOO good! Batbrick Away!

A very beautiful craft there KDog, It looks just like Star Justice and the construction is very clever. I'm no expert on space craft (I am still horrible at making them) but this is very nice, and the detachable prison cell is a cool add in too, can we please have a better look of it? I really like the cockpit piece you used, did you get that from an Aquaraiders set? And the wings are nicely done too, I wish you luck in the contest! Batbrick Away!

That's a very cool and well done idea there! Batbrick Away!

Yes, and in certain comics he has used a very large riot control batmobile, so a Lego one is legal and very well done I might add. And the Batdragster is kind of like another Batmobile too, just like my built Dragster I'll post soon! That's why I think Lego should keep pushing with this line, there are so many different Batmobiles and vehicles under many different names that they could release a lot more cool sets. I agree, the sets are brilliant, especially the Batvehicles, and they have fantastic bits for parts monkeys. The minifigs are in my opinion some of the best ever produced, TLC has done the mythos proud. And if you think the dragster was 5/5, you're in for a great surprise with the Batwing and co. As for the upcoming sets, I'm afraid for the Tumbler, it looks hugantic! Great, but hugantic! I'll get it anyway of course, but at the very worse it becomes parts for a smaller Tumbler (like Wetwire's one) and other Batvehicles, or it becomes another Battank like mobile with a few mods. What does everyone else reckon? Batbrick Away!

Finally it's here! Great work Brainbox, you didn't disappoint, I'll go through each one: The Jetski: Nice stuff, I like how it's about the same size as the Robin one, it looks very sleek. One thing I'd change is probably a 1x1 black slope on the tail fin. If you ever get the Racer X car too, you'd be able to use the black slopes to make it even more sleek. As it stands, it's still really cool, and Bats looks great in it. Bat-Strike: Oh, this is it! I saw something very similar in a Ra's Al Ghul comic, it was longer though. Nice work here, the studded look works well I'm surprised, and Bats again looks pretty good on it. I like your underwater Batman too, simple but effective, though he looks pretty dusty for a guy who's been underwater! Bat-Armour: I love this. I really do. Fantastic work here, the mech suit is the one thing in Batman's world that certainly benefits from being grey and not black, so good choice. The construction itself is fantastic, most mech suits obviously don't carry an mf as they are too small or skeletal, and while you can tell with this one, it is much better for being chunky and looking like it could accommodate him. I also love it as it is built mostly out of 1x1 pieces, I love these kind of constructions, nice use of the dish piece too Robin's Batcycle: Well it couldn't be the Redbird if it wasn't red could it? Nice going here, simple, but good to get him a bike, I have yet to do that. It benefits from being dark green to, as he looks fairly good on it. I need a red helmet now, I only have a printed one! Micro Tumbler: I love this too. Great work on the back, the wheels and angles are very effective. The wheels at the front a probably too small, but I can't see how that can be avoided, so overall I'd say you should be happy with it, nice use of the 1x1 slope at the front too. Year One Glider: And isn't it just the spitting image of it! Great job, keeping the batwings were a good idea, they are very versatile. I love the way he hooks into the cockpit, that's rather clever, and he looks great in it! It also looks a bit like the one from Tales of the Demon, which is a compliment, I liked that one. One thing I'd change is putting a 1x1 studless piece on the two studs at the back, they looks out of place sticking out, but that's just a small complaint. Batwing Mod: Very nice! You seem to have taken a leaf from my book in terms of changing the cockpit to be airtight, it looks much better that way. I like how it is much sleeker now, and the two seats are very good, I'm surprised they both fit under that one pane of glass. Great job overall, just one question, what will you do for a Batplane? Artwork: Very nice, I love your shading, he is rather tall, but that adds to the mystique of the character, I've always loved in the comics and BTAS when he does the whole "shrouded figure" thing, and you've captured this well. But i can't ignore those question marks.... Batbrick: , thanks for giving me a laugh, I needed that! Great job here, a simple but hilarious vig. That's rather mean of you though, after all these vigs I've done for you, you steal my suit! (that magically makes me fleshie for some reason ) One question though, how did you know I wear white underwear? I look forward to more Brainbox! Fantastic stuff here that'll make any Batfan excited, but for now: Batbrick Away!
