Shimon the driller is ready for dig éwe
Captain Green Hair replied to Shimon the driller's topic in Hello! My name is...
Welcome to Eurobricks. Would you mind using a bit more proper spelling, as your post is hardly readable with all the signs and stuff, we are not BZP or some chatboard. Thank you. -
Yes this set is definitely worth it. Not only is the design great, everything is made up out of normal 1x1 and 1x2 bricks instead of large panels and stuff. I bought it in Germany for 120 euro, and i have no regrets of it.

I've stated yes, i have very little to none taboo's on most subjects, including Lego violence. If Lego figs actually bleed, it makes them more alive i think.

With my parents it was the other way round, i couldn't get my bricks back for a while from my dad's house as he was keeping them for future children, afraid that i would sell it. After some nagging i finally got the collection, which i now have made 5 times as big. Now i need to think of devious ways to get my relatives Lego as well. (I know my grandma still has a lot of Lego from the 60's, but there are still grand children walking around ) Sad to hear that a lot of parents think differently, i hope you succeed in rebuilding your collection. In other words, welcome to Eurobricks!

Mafstraw Manor - Sign In/Discussion
Captain Green Hair replied to Zepher's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
I can't help but wonder what a Mafstraw is? -
It is always nice to read a bit of background of one of our members. I like your customizing work Michael, but don't let it loose the Lego feel by getting too realistic. Now how about that Barbie collector ey?
-
Promoting your entry ey? Nice work, i like it. I would categorize it as steam punk, as the bow and other small detail gives me that 1.000 miles under the sea, Captain Nemo feeling. It's nice to see that the British store their rockets on the outside of the bow, i don't think sinking her will be that hard.

Welcome to Eurobricks! How would you not be able to finish a project, when there is always more bricks.

One thing I've allways wondered...
Captain Green Hair replied to Scorpion's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I've been buying up old style plate hinges ever since those hideous and useless ones hit the market. I say useless as they are a bit longer then the old ones, so they don't fit perfectly into the system any more. Those actually make nice hinges for gunports on somewhat larger ship i think. -
There's a new guy in town...

A link to the game might help. Looks like fun, maybe i'll give it a try sometime.

Are we having fun spamming up old topics with nothing to add to the discussion and no proper grammar?

Happy birthday guys, have a great day!

This will be one impressive fort when it is done. I love to see all the small detail grow and i think you've made the layout very well. Have you thought about breaking up those big white walls and red roofs by using some different coloured bricks in them? You could perhaps stick some grey and tan in the walls here and there and perhaps some dark red and reddish brown for the roof.

A few questions for the EB Staff
Captain Green Hair replied to teleri's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Well if this is a computer game, then you can post it in the culture and multimedia forum. If it is a board game, then you can post it in other themes. Hope that clears things up? -
Build a frigate with Captain Green Hair
Captain Green Hair replied to Captain Green Hair's topic in Pirate MOCs
Aaah the clipper, a wonderful classic set i don't own. I would make the sails a bit simplified without all the blue striping, perhaps a (Blue coat) logo on the main sail could look cool.... -
Could you please use some punctuation in your posts? I also don't get why you do not start sentences with a capitol? Please take some time to post in a proper manner here, thank you.
-
Ah too bad your folder isn't public yet. You can however deeplink images, a tutorial on how to do so can be found in the index, a link is in my signature.

Welcome to Eurobricks! Is the Pinguin in your avatar build by you? It looks really nice!

Build a frigate with Captain Green Hair
Captain Green Hair replied to Captain Green Hair's topic in Pirate MOCs
Looks like a good way to decide how to build it Steele. Personally i like the one where the flag is placed under the black line and with 4 studs between ports best. Will you make your ornaments and such in yellow? Perhaps you can add some more blue on the top lines as well.... I love making small study models like this to envision if something works on a larger MOC or to try out a new technique, i have made quite a few before i started on the Prince Willim. You will see how i designed the masts soon enough,, but i need to get some more parts myself as well....
