  5. I might be a great builder, but i suck at CAD. But showing the build of a ship is a nice idea, i'm kinda doing that with the one here. That also consumes most of my lego time at the moment, so if i ever decide to use CAD, it will be at a later point. But if you need some building tips or feedback on a WIP , you can always contact me
  6. Can't find any on the known sites for instructions, guess it's too new. Perhaps you can email Lego, and say that you lost your instruction?
  7. Happy birthday guys, have a great day!
  8. Well we know where it is now!
  9. Cool, definitly has that old New York feel to me. I like the mixing of the new and old brown to make it look like a brick wall, works very well. What part did you use to make the lift raise? (The red grill like part)
  10. Yes! Customer survey via an internet poll is an excellent low cost marketing tool! Question is, do they listen to the outcome?
  11. You rolled them up?
  12. The story tells it very well, and it's a nice build too. Excellent work, keep it up!
  13. Thanks for making this Paul, this is a nice start for beginning shipbuilders. If you are planning on building ships, i advice you to read up on them. Find out what makes a ''sloop'' or a ship of the ''line''. Check out the key features on ships like ''tumblehome'' or the ''capstan''. Ship model galleries like this one, are also a great source of inspiration to me. And you can ofcourse visit museums or even real ships. When i build a ship, i first pick out the type of ship and search for information and photo's on the web. There are a lot of great books as well, i own quite a few about the Dutch VOC ships. I did many hours of studying, visiting the replica ship and what not, before i started building the ''Prins Willim''. The ships i made on prefab hulls can be seen in my BS folder. Ships have been my favourite build subject ever sinds i was a child, and i have made quite a few. I hope this is some usefull information for you shipbuilders, i wish you all the best!
  14. Ha, the Dutch whalers strike again! Nice work Jordan, especially on the photography getting that cold and exciting feel! I love the shape of your whale, but i don't quite get the ''face'' of the animal, is it a special rase?
  15. I could use a load of tan bricks.
  16. You can also make me an offer i can't refuse.
