  1. Glow in the dark lights would be nice little novelty touch and a point of difference from the previous supercars. I'd assume at the full release we'll see the wing doors in action
  2. If I was a reviewer I would have needed the set about a month ago I'm building the Mack at the moment and I'm probably about 3 weeks in now and I'm not finished
  3. Well the Bugatti box was a bit bigger than the Porsche box but that would come down to part count. With the Lambo having a similar part count I would suggest a similar size box. Whatever the size I'm going to need to find room to put it
  4. Well now the Ducati is out there, and now the Lamborghini is out (depending on who you believe) it's time to start looking for or waiting for new info and pictures of the Osprey
  5. Unless I missed it, we haven't seen much on the Osprey either. I'm interested to see what that one looks like also
  6. I've seen them at the Bathurst 12hr a few times. My favourite race car, so happy to see them finally get the win this year
  7. I'm happy to take it on face value that the leaked image is real until someone has rock solid evidence that it's not. All the design cues and knowledge we have of the set so far marry up pretty well to that image if you ask me so i'll just sit back and wait for any new info. I wanna see the doors in action
  8. You think it's fake just because it has new parts???
  9. Obviously the biggest difference in functionality over the Porsche and Bugatti is the way the doors open. So at least that's one point of difference to look forward to. I'll be interested to see how they achieve this given the emphasis on the visuals
  10. My thoughts now some light has been shed on the new beast. Listening to some peoples (hopefully minority) thoughts and complaints, which seems to happen when any new set comes out. Everybody knows the limitations of a lego technic piece yet when they see the model, they expect it to be the same as thing, instead complain of too many gaps, something not quite at the right angle etc etc etc. I get it and the are times when I would like things to be tweaked. I'm sure Lego could probably throw a couple hundred more pieces at it and iron out some of the bumps and gaps and then people would complain that they can't see inside or it costs more again. A lot of times it feels like the designers are on a hiding to nowhere. Me personally, I think it looks good and the colour is a good choice also (it's a very Lamborghini colour). I'm not sure if it'll be many MOCers first choice but that doesn't bother me. Like every set, some will love it, some will hate it. When 42056 was released I thought it looked ordinary, I only ended up getting one about 2yrs after release as I found it grew on me. Now I think it looks great. Does it have it's faults? Sure When 42083 was released my initial reaction was that it looked better than the Porsche, now I have them both on par with one another. Does it have it's faults? Sure Now 42115 my initial thoughts is it looks better again, so I can only imagine how good it's going to look to me a few years down the track. Will it have it's faults? Most likely So to sum up, Bring on 42115 in all it's bright green glory. At the end of the day unless I win the lotto this is as close to owning a Lambo as I'm going to get
  11. A question for anyone that has done the light mod to the more sensible round dish. What size are they? Are they 2 x 2, 3 x 3 or 4 x 4? Preferably in trans-yellow
  12. You could be onto something there. Dark green with gold wheels would look good
  13. I think it might have been mentioned before, but wouldn't the green from 42039 be a decent option? A. It would look good next to the orange of the Porsche and blue of the Bugatti B. It has the look of an outlandish Lambo colour C. It would look good matched to gold wheels
  14. The colour is not going to stop me from getting this set. In saying that, if it's the same colour as the Land Rover that will be a little disappointing. If for no other reason than as someone who has them displayed on a shelf next to the Bugatti, Porsche and Land Rover it will look a bit meh. Just to weigh in on the packaging debate, I can't see them moving away from what they've used for the other Supercars. And those two already use a "age rating" on those boxes
  15. Can't say that looks like an official LEGO teaser though
  16. This may be a dumb question but I'm going to ask it anyway Is there are release date yet?
  17. I feel like TLG are missing a chance here to drip feed some more info regarding the Osprey. I know the Ducati and Lambo grab the lions share of the headlines (and for good reason) but I think there are a lot of people that are interested in this set. I mean, I'm a car guy and I'm interested and will probably get one when it comes out. INFO PLEASE!!!!!!
  18. I do realise that it will be a standard Sian but hopefully that TLG take notice and keep in mind the potential of a convertable supercar. Somewhere down the line they could have either a powered or manual folding roof which I'm sure many technic fan would enjoy
  19. While I think we can all say that it's most likely the Sian I do agree with an idea a few people have mentioned, and that's a working convertible top. That would be a nice extra function as well as providing a point of difference to the other supercars already released. Even though mine will most likely be a shelf queen it would be a good option. I'm not sold on the LR green if that's what they go with but it won't stop me from getting it
  20. Totally agree. I see a lot of MOCs and I think they are fantastic but then I see the cost of putting one together and my jaw hits the floor. If TLG competed on the same level as the MOC-ers out there I'd only be able to afford about 3 sets before I was broke :) I have no doubt that TLG designers would be capable of going toe-to-toe with just about any MOC-er out there if they were not bound to cost and part restrictions. I'm thankful for what we've got and I will continue to look at MOCs with envy and indulge in the odd alternate build of some sets. Anyway back to the Lambo, here's hoping we have something new to talk about soon. Looks like they've done a pretty good job of hiding details and pics......unfortunately :)
  21. Thinking back to the Land Rover there was a lot of stud use there to get the shape and finish. The fact this model has a lot of studs also maybe an indication the real deal will be similar. Again I too would much prefer the metallic green with gold wheels. As others have said, maybe they've got themselves an early version of the Lambo and copied that. I don't think the wheels being Porsche's IP matters to people that are making copies of it :) And maybe the wheels are the biggest secret of the new set. I'd like the bonnet to look a bit cleaner but besides that it's not bad
  22. I'd say both of you are probably right there because there has been a few licensed sets that have a b-model. I can't say I know too much of the construction sets but i'm lead to believe there have been a couple there that do Also the Corvette (b-model looked much better imo) and BMW have B-models, the Mack Anthem also to name a few. I can understand the some of the others like the Bugatti, Porsche, LR etc not supplying B-models though but aren't we supposed to be able to pull them apart and make something ourselves anyway? (i'm not one of them, give me instructions :))
  23. We've seen news on the Charger and the Ducati, can we please get some news on the Osprey now? :)
  24. With the release of "official" pics of the charger, surely we can't be far away from images being released of the other H2 sets
