Ongoing Transformers Rumors and Discussion

I like your optimism, I hope you're right. If Lego went full G1 with it, Soundwave should come with Buzzsaw -
Ongoing Transformers Rumors and Discussion

Considering there is about 8 (if my memory serves) G1 cassettes it would be great if they were all released in one way or another. Personally I think we'd probably only get one at most with the soundwave kit -

Has there been anymore news on the upcoming Soundwave set? And does anyone know if there are plans for more of the Brickheadz? Only just found this thread so I will just add that I grew up on Transformers and the original animated movies is one of the greatest of all times. One that I've watched so many times and it never gets old -
Being a car guy, I'm like "Yay more cars!" but I'm also like "I got nowhere to put them all" so in summary, even though I'm a car guy, a few less would be good just to save me money and a headache. Even though the construction/farming etc doesn't really interest me I do like to see what they come up with. Plus I do feel for all you guys that want more of those kind of sets

My thoughts on this are that without building your own design, the biggest challenge today would be the dexterity required in assembling some sections. Aside from that the majority of mistakes that I've made personally have been from lack of concentration or distraction while building. I will say though when you look at an instruction manual from 20-30yrs ago compared to a manual from today and it's quite noticeable how much they've been "dumbed down". Whether the set is 6+, 12+, 18+, whatever, the instructions still read like they're aimed at a 6+ builder. Maybe something to consider for Lego would be an 18+ set having instructions aimed at 18+ builders?

You'd think with the 1st of August being only a few weeks away, details and images will start coming thick and fast. Even if it is a copy/paste of the SP3 scenario, it's been near on two years since I built that one so with my memory it will seem new again -

While I'm looking forward to the McLaren and it will add to my Supercars collection I wouldn't mind seeing one in the future with maybe a retractable roof as a point of difference to the ones that have come before it -

One thing I noticed, was the mention of an in-line six engine a typo or what? Shouldn't it be a flat six? Aside from that, I do kind of agree about some of techniques used when looking closer. But great work all the same, I could never design something like this
