  1. I like your optimism, I hope you're right. If Lego went full G1 with it, Soundwave should come with Buzzsaw
  2. Considering there is about 8 (if my memory serves) G1 cassettes it would be great if they were all released in one way or another. Personally I think we'd probably only get one at most with the soundwave kit
  3. Has there been anymore news on the upcoming Soundwave set? And does anyone know if there are plans for more of the Brickheadz? Only just found this thread so I will just add that I grew up on Transformers and the original animated movies is one of the greatest of all times. One that I've watched so many times and it never gets old
  4. True, but I feel like that would require a LOT of stickers to make it work
  5. Licensed BYD makes sense being China I guess, Glad I don't live in the USA, it would probably cost $7k :) So BYD, Merc & Mazda are all 1/8 scale?
  6. Does anyone know the scale of these new sets? I know the Merc is 1/8 but what about the Mazda? Also, what is the red car? It looks a bit Maserati-ish to me
  7. And I'm guessing 42219 and 42220 should be "pullback" not "pullbag" :)
  8. Being a car guy, I'm like "Yay more cars!" but I'm also like "I got nowhere to put them all" so in summary, even though I'm a car guy, a few less would be good just to save me money and a headache. Even though the construction/farming etc doesn't really interest me I do like to see what they come up with. Plus I do feel for all you guys that want more of those kind of sets
  9. Has anyone got their hands on the new Sauber F1? I'd like to know if the stickers are an improvement over the Alpha Romeo F1 before considering a purchase
  10. My thoughts on this are that without building your own design, the biggest challenge today would be the dexterity required in assembling some sections. Aside from that the majority of mistakes that I've made personally have been from lack of concentration or distraction while building. I will say though when you look at an instruction manual from 20-30yrs ago compared to a manual from today and it's quite noticeable how much they've been "dumbed down". Whether the set is 6+, 12+, 18+, whatever, the instructions still read like they're aimed at a 6+ builder. Maybe something to consider for Lego would be an 18+ set having instructions aimed at 18+ builders?
  11. I'm trying to be hopeful, don't bring me down :)
  12. Do they not have the dark green that's used in some of those "flora sets"?
  13. I agree with everything said here but I still have this feeling they're going to end up in my collection all the same :D
  14. What do you class as mid size? 42152 - Firefighter Plane
  15. Does anyone know when the McLaren P1 will be released to the wider retailers? Not just the Lego shop? Asking from Australia
  16. I like these ideas, thinking outside the box :)
  17. Apparently there's going to be a few F1 themed sets coming in 2025, do you think that might pave the way for another Technic F1 set?
  18. The G wagon looks pretty awesome, it is a bit of a shame that it's a shade of orange though. Lego really have made the most of their shades of orange over the last few years. The only thing I don't like about it is I'll probably have to disassemble my Defender to make room for it
  19. You'd think with the 1st of August being only a few weeks away, details and images will start coming thick and fast. Even if it is a copy/paste of the SP3 scenario, it's been near on two years since I built that one so with my memory it will seem new again
  20. While I'm looking forward to the McLaren and it will add to my Supercars collection I wouldn't mind seeing one in the future with maybe a retractable roof as a point of difference to the ones that have come before it
  21. only looks like 1/8 & 1/10 on road at this stage but never say never i guess for future variants
  22. I like this option of being able to buy licenced tyres, be a good replacement for sets with generic tyres https://decadastore.com/products/cada-goodyear-tires-accessories-d013-d014
  23. One thing I noticed, was the mention of an in-line six engine a typo or what? Shouldn't it be a flat six? Aside from that, I do kind of agree about some of techniques used when looking closer. But great work all the same, I could never design something like this
  24. The only downside is the stickers, they are not on the same level as Lego stickers. Plus there are some which cover multiple panels which renders the set a once-off build unless you get another set of stickers
