My thoughts on this are that without building your own design, the biggest challenge today would be the dexterity required in assembling some sections. Aside from that the majority of mistakes that I've made personally have been from lack of concentration or distraction while building. I will say though when you look at an instruction manual from 20-30yrs ago compared to a manual from today and it's quite noticeable how much they've been "dumbed down". Whether the set is 6+, 12+, 18+, whatever, the instructions still read like they're aimed at a 6+ builder. Maybe something to consider for Lego would be an 18+ set having instructions aimed at 18+ builders?

You'd think with the 1st of August being only a few weeks away, details and images will start coming thick and fast. Even if it is a copy/paste of the SP3 scenario, it's been near on two years since I built that one so with my memory it will seem new again -

While I'm looking forward to the McLaren and it will add to my Supercars collection I wouldn't mind seeing one in the future with maybe a retractable roof as a point of difference to the ones that have come before it -

One thing I noticed, was the mention of an in-line six engine a typo or what? Shouldn't it be a flat six? Aside from that, I do kind of agree about some of techniques used when looking closer. But great work all the same, I could never design something like this
