  1. The rims aren't like the previous supercars are they? Where the rim edge covers part of the tyre sidewall to give the appearance of low profile?
  2. So the question must be asked, do you think the standard version will be cheaper than the slipcase version? Or will it just be normal pricing across the board and gimmick for the "resellers"
  3. New Ferrari looks good if true. I'll let the experts here tell me what's new though as I'm not too good at spotting new parts etc
  4. I am happily proven wrong then, lets hope the boffins at Lego HQ are watching
  5. I like the idea of the retractable roof but i'm guessing with the size of a lego engine in a mid-engine car might make that a bit difficult. I hope they can prove me wrong however
  6. Is there any truth to the rumour the latest UCS Supercar is going to be delayed to next year?
  7. I'd like to be proven wrong but I feel the Koenigsegg and Pagani are too niche. Has to be a brand every Tom, Dick and Harry knows
  8. Hopefully this is the beginning of a steady stream of info regarding the new 2H sets
  9. I haven't read the whole topic so apologies if it's been brought up already, but I saw somewhere that the new technic F1 car that's coming in 2022 is a McLaren. Can anyone confirm or deny this? I mean i'll be getting it whether it is or isn't but it would be good to know
  10. Is there any yellow supercars out there? That could be an option
  11. I personally like the look of the new BMW bike and will definitely be adding it to my collection. I see a lot of complaints with new sets "not enough new parts", "too many new parts", "form over function", "function over form" etc and i'm probably not the best to comment on this as the majority of my sets are shelf queens. I feel it's probably not an easy job for Lego to try and satisfy all the different builders out there so I'm sure there are compromises made. For me, I like the functions but it also has to look like the real thing (for licenced sets anyway).
  12. I won't be getting it but it does look pretty cool
  13. I'm itching to see some new stuff so here's hoping it's not far away
  14. As some have mentioned, the eTron GTR is possible and it may match the timeline IF it is to replace the R8. How much faith does Lego have in it's PoweredUp system to create a 1:8 scale electric supercar? Or probably more to the point does it have the capability to power one?
  15. That makes no sense when it's being advertised as a technic set with as Bartybum says a technic number
  16. Just curious about the motorbike. If it's bigger than previous bikes are we looking at a different sized wheel? That would be surprising if it were to be the case
  17. The new Batmobile looks ok and I'll probably get it but I'd guess that a few people will make a few minor changes to make it look like a standard muscle car. On the plus side though, it looks like they've nailed the stance. Sits low
  18. This 2nd list is more my style. Any thoughts if there was to be a follow up to the Porsche and Ferrari's, who wouldn't love a GTE Corvette?
  19. Aside from 42138 (maybe a bike if you guys are correct) my wallet is going to love the first half of the year as there isn't really anything of interest for me here. I'm glad you construction-type fans are getting plenty of love though. Looks like I'll be keeping an eye on the second half of '22 as well as the 1:8 supercar
  20. Agreed, $250 seems a bit pricey for what you get. Considered that the introductory price for the Land Rover was $260AUD and it had another 1000 parts. In saying that, I'm still gonna get it :)
  21. Hopefully a Porsche-sized Corvette instead :)
  22. That's good to know I'm doing the right thing 👍
  23. I've seen what looks to be some new pics of the new Mercedes Truck and heavy duty tow truck. They look pretty decent, not for me though. The pics have confidential stamped on the so I'm thinking I can't post it
  24. I think we could be starting to look at an increase in the what I'll call "medium" sized sets or smaller sets with RC/control+. I think this kind of services a lot of current technic fans, you have one group that prefer mechanical playability and another group that prefer "remote" playability. I'm ok with the current releases of the "ultimate" sets, for me I know there's one every two years as I'm only really interested in the cars, not so much the construction sets. As I'm sure there is the opposite to me who prefer the construction sets and don't give a shit about the cars. I'm in no way saying that there isn't a crossover between the two of course. One thing I'd like to see more of though, whether the set is branded or not, is more official B models
