  1. The helmet is fine on its own, I think, but on a fig looks quite off. The mohawk will just add to it's profile, making it even larger. Cap and Iron Man are compact enough to work. I think the real killer is the chin, as it overlaps the torso. A comparable helmet would be, say, the original Batman cowl, which, while quite large, kept a decent profile. Good note on the Kree soldier idea, though. I would love Marvel battle packs. It's a shame we've never gotten any (Outrider Attack notwithstanding).
  2. I dunno, I like making figures that wear sweatbands. Doesn't everybody?
  3. Well, I did like the helmet initially, but now it's just off. The mohawk will make it look worse I'd imagine. Unpopular opinion, but I liked it when Cap had a printed head (tan face and all), but at least his helmet looks good. I think the 2015 Captain Marvel would've been better, as in giving us a printed head over a mask piece, as was said. I still like the figure overall though. Also, I never was too up on War Machine's past variants, so the helmet looks new, but I'm guessing it's the Endgame one? I don't have it so I'm guessing here. It would be neat for War Machine and the possible Rescue to have the new helmet. It would keep consistency. It makes little sense for a non-MCU Iron Man to have the movie helmet, same for War Machine.
  4. January 2021! You heard it here first!
  5. Imo, I think the book Maul is good enough. He doesn't really change outfits like that. There are probably a few differences between this and his Solo appearance, (actually just the medallion) but I think it'll do until a duel set or something of the sort. And since he does have the medallion in the book, Lego will just release him in the future without it, preserving the exclusivity of the figure.
  6. It depends on the shot (since, y'know, hair flows ) but in promo images at least, I would argue it's spot on. It's a little strange with the part, but overall the shape is there. For Infinity War/Endgame, they dropped the ball (especially since they could've given her the Elsa hair for Endgame) hard, but I digress. I also think dark red would only work for her Endgame look, as, while rather dark, she's still more ginger than outright red. Honestly, I wish Lego had a less-restrictive color palette, as many colors are off/need nuance to work with specific characters. Also, on that note, I think Lego can be given a little creative freedom on figures that aren't directly based on a specific source (MCU, TV Show), as Captain Marvel may or may not be game-based. Until we see her game costume, we don't really know. I get that another hairpiece would be more desirable, but it's an easy fix, depending on the source/preference. I'm wondering what her mohawk will look like, though. Will it be straight spikes, or could it maybe fall over to one side? And I hope the helmet isn't too big on her, as molded helmets sometimes are.
  7. Given Jesse's a part of the Siege of Mandalore, if Lego decides to give us the 501st and Rex (the latter being pure speculation), it would make sense to include another exclusive 501st figure in the AAT/Interceptor (depending on which Rex would be part of). I doubt we'll get 332nd troopers outside a battle pack (a $15 one), and to keep it true blue Jesse makes the most sense. They don't even have to name him, just pull a Hammer and call him "501st ARC Trooper". Of course, we probably won't get clones in all 3 Clone Wars sets. However, I did predict that we'd see a Jet Trooper (even if in the wrong set), so anything's possible.
  8. Not really. No hairpiece is perfect, and I think it represents her bangs accurately enough. No one complains that Tony's hair is inaccurate (by the same standards), or that they used the same hair on mulitple figures, regardless of hairstyle. Not saying I mind inaccurate hair, but Black Widow is one of the few examples where it works. Would it be better if it covered half her face? Or revealed more of her face? I don't understand how it's a terrible piece.
  9. I hope we get Rex in the Interceptor. Even though it's likely to only include Anakin and R2, wouldn't hurt to throw Rex in there. Then possibly Ahsoka and Jesse for the AAT. It would keep the clones 501st without repeating any (though it'll probably be 332nd over Jesse, but I digress). I'm still beyond hyped about getting a Jet Trooper, so it'll be good to get a whole team of 501st troopers, hopefully with Rex at the helm. I swear if they just include 2 B1s in the AAT (droid-wise)... Hopefully they'll at least throw in a super. Please Lego, anything but B1s would be nice. Hell, at this point I'd even take a Droideka!
  10. Black Widow did use that hairstyle in both Avengers and Age of Ultron. It's not perfect, but what hairpiece is? I also like the new Captain Marvel. Looks like we'll finally get a decent non-MCU based team with this wave/year. By my count we've got Cap, Iron Man, Thor, Hawkeye, Black Panther, Hulk, Captain Marvel, War Machine, and Black Widow, with possibly Rescue and I think Ms. Marvel was hinted at(?) I can't wait to see the sets. If this does well, hopefully we'll get an X-Men wave at some point.
  11. That's more what I meant. So, a burrow seems even more likely with Molly, Arthur, and Bellatrix. But, did we see a Greyback leak? I seem to recall one a while back.
  12. Sorry, I meant twice. I know about the Azkaban outfit, but I think we saw her in her black gown, correct?
  13. This. I wouldn't mind it if they kept Lucius back for a Ministry Battle set. Given the new Bellatrix, I think it's really likely, since I assume she won't be in the CMF. Didn't we also get a Greyback leak, or was that the 2010 figure?
  14. While compiling this reply I decided to do some digging and found the set/figure list. It sucks that the Department Battle turned out to be false, could've been a great way to get any of the figures I mentioned. Here's hoping we at least get a masked Death Eater in the CMF. So now the big question: are we still getting a burrow?
  15. As one of those with mild interest in future Potter figs and no interest in combing the last 20 pages, I apologize if this has been suggested, but I was wondering if "the gang is growing" means either Malfoy's Gang or the Death Eaters? I could see them doing either Yaxley or Dolohov, especially with the latter being in the Department of Mysteries battle. And with Slytherin getting at least 2 spots in the CMF, maybe Pansy, Crabbe and Goyle across the CMF series and the sets? I don't know if they'd fit per se with any upcoming sets, but it would be nice to get them. Speaking of the Department Battle, could someone confirm how much it's rumored to be? Because depending on the size, I can see this going 3 ways: (1) Dumbledore vs Voldemort, (2) Death Eaters vs DA and OOTP, or (3) Option 2 but with more figures. If we get Bellatrix in the Burrow, then we could easily see the Department Battle include Lucious, Dolohov, Harry, Sirius, and Ginny. If we don't get Tonks in the CMF, then maybe we'll get her here. Room of Requirement will have Harry and Luna, maybe Neville too? If that's the case then we'd have pretty much the core six in Year 5 attire of some sort. On a side note, I like how the reboot has done things in (somewhat) chronological order, with 2018 starting off with years 1 & 2, 2019 years 3 & 4, and now we're in year 5. I've never been a huge Potter fan, but Lego's been treating this theme right.
  16. Exactly. Remember, these are from a press release, and thus not fully indicative of what each set contains/doesn't contain.
  17. Pictures do lie. I know it's a different theme but in 2013, Star Wars had the Battle of Hoth promo picture showing 2 Lukes in the "everything included" shot. Not very misleading, easy to tell that's not the case, right? 2014 Snowspeeder, Promo shot includes Luke, Dak, and 2 Snowtroopers (set only had 1). Just a mistake, amiright!? 2016 U-Wing: Promo picture included a Rebel that was only included in the TIE Striker. And those are the catalog shots, not the same as a picture that can be included with a press release. Until the white background shows Mario with the Bowser castle, he's not coming with the Bowser castle. On top of that, as was mentioned, it's ridiculous to think that any set with Mario, tech-y as he is (which is inherently expensive) will have a near-perfect PPR. It's just not happening. There's a reason why the $60 set is called a "Starter Set". You need it to get everything else rolling. To argue that a $100 set needs to stand on its own is absurd in this case. Normally, yes, but this is not a normal theme.
  18. I never had a problem with the old animated figures, so I don't mind these taking a different route than "normal" figures. However, I do wish they had just replicated the 2013 figure to that end, as it looks better (in terms of animated styling), or just go movie style (like the 2014 212th Troopers). That being said, I still like these figures. It took me a while to warm up to the Rebels Stormtroopers and the new helmet Stormtroopers, so I think these will grow on me (and others) in time. After all, the Phase I clones from 2008-2010 were all the rage at one point, and those were animated. I do! It's tricky, due to promo shots looking like a bright blue and movie stills looking dark blue, but I've always thought the 501st should be in dark blue, at least for the movies. In The Clone Wars, however, they are more of a normal blue color, which is evident despite the lighting. Or, at least somewhere in between Lego's blue and dark blue.
  19. How about just let sleeping dogs lie and leave it alone? This is how leaks work, period. Doesn't matter how old you are, or how long you've been in the hobby. If the UCS is changed, delayed, cancelled, or whatever else, that doesn't mean that it never existed. We know that sets get cancelled, we know that somethings just don't make it out of concept, that's something every toyline deals with. But, to make an issue of it is just being contentious for the sake of being contentious. This is just as pointless as the spoiler discussion pages back. If it's not an issue, don't make it an issue. Not trying to be hostile, but this is getting ridiculous.
  20. I'm sorry, but @lego the hutt, is there a purpose to this? Because it seems (I could be wrong) a bit unnecessary and confrontational. Like @jdubbs said, if you choose not to believe rumors/leaks as "confirmed", then this probably isn't the best place to find your news. As has been said and repeated numerous times to numerous folks who have asked, plenty of evidence has been revealed as to the A-Wing's existence, whether it be inside sources, figure leaks, or just what makes sense at this point. Unless you know something we don't, it's all but confirmed (no word from LEGO required) that it's coming. If, however, you do know something we don't, please share.
  21. Is that a problem? Because it seems like that's a problem. We even have the figure for it now (leaked through the usual channels), and leakers who are quite reliable have confirmed it. So all that's missing is the press release.
  22. If anything, we aren't getting 2 AT-AT Drivers, as we've never gotten that. We have, however, gotten two Snowtroopers in almost all prior AT-ATs. I'm guessing we'll get the 2014 lineup (Veers, AT-AT Driver, Snowtrooper Commander, 2x Snowtroopers) plus Luke. It's the best case scenario.
  23. You're referring to Dreadknight, I think. Black Knight looks more like a traditional medieval knight. Btw, I like the new Loki. Needs a new face, but who doesn't these days? A more classic design would be cooler, but then again, he's probably based off the new game in some fashion.
  24. I mean, the figures aren't perfect (I for one would prefer a darker blue, but the accuracy of that is debatable), they could use a bit more color, like blue sleeves, and the white hips are a bit of an eyesore (a belt print would've solved this, as mentioned), but on the whole I like them. I'm personally super stoked for the Jet Trooper as it's one of my favorite clone designs. The AT-RT looks a bit, rough, to say the least. The front is all jagged, which is accurate I suppose, but I like the previous designs a lot better, scale notwithstanding. It is, of course, forever too tall, but that's something I've come to expect with those. Same for the BARC. It's way too big, but even still, it's a nice vehicle. I think I'll build one of these, and any duplicates I buy will be for figures/blasters first, with the vehicles being spare parts. No way in hell I'm putting that many stickers on multiple sets. The biggest downfall, imo, are the droids. They're just so, plain. Two supers, or the return of the commandos would've been cooler. As they are, just two more Battle Droids to add to the fragile ranks. I am disappointed with yet another clone redesign, but as long as it's just printing, I can live with it. I'd probably purge Lego HQ if the helmets themselves were remolded. Now the new 212th Trooper makes sense, as he'll fit with this new style. Now would be the time to run with this design and get us the Shock Troopers, Marines, and Star Corps redesigns as well, but that's a topic for another day. They'll just have to grow on some people, I guess.
  25. Isn't that just a Nexo Knights shield?
