Will a program like BAP (Brick automation project) recognize these new controllers?

[BDP-9] The Solar Express: The Tilting Train
lego3057 replied to damangos's topic in LEGO Train Tech
Nice work. You can easily do a tilting train by allowing low CG cars to tilt around the longitudinal axis, fixed on the chassis. The axis should be near the roof to get the most tilt effect. Of course they only tilt in the curves while moving fast. -
I thought that 4wide lego model trains are more on H0 scale. 1:87

The show must go on!

Thank you. A lot of things are downloadable there. Actually the best site I discovered recently https://www.mybricks4u.com/trains---unit.html. Even the lisbon tram is one of the best I saw.

Unfortunatly not downloadble

L-Gauge standard height + too-large wheels?
lego3057 replied to SandBlueEnjoyer's topic in LEGO Train Tech
I think that, in respect to 8 wide( 1:48) models, they have accurate dimensions, generally. The wheels are probably on the small size. I remember, some years ago, people reached to the conclusion that they suited better 7 wide cars, than 6 or 8 wide cars. In the end, if you measure the 3 dimensions of the box ( and not the total height from the ground) they will be right scaled in most of the cases. But if you´re in 6 wide building than yes, everything tends to be quite tall (actually 8 wide tall) -
[MOC] VR Class Dm4 multiple unit in 1:42 scale

They look quite finish_ed . ***** -
BR80 1:33

Incredible achievement. That must be around 1:20 scale. But for normal Lego tracks one can build in 1:38 where10 studs->3meters.

Official LEGO Sets made in Stud.io
lego3057 replied to Cadder's topic in Digital LEGO: Tools, Techniques, and Projects
Hello Is there any place where one can download custom bricks for Studi? For example I saw that someone has already the printed parts of MclarenF1, set 10330, which are not avaiable in the default sudio pallete. There are a lot of Studio Lego Sets in Bricklink gallery, though not downloadble, for some strange reason. Maybe Lego is afraid of copying their models.- 20 replies

Well that´s a BIG mistery, do you have more than one base plate to try? Even in LDD or Sudio they fit well, it would mean some deformation in the plastic.
-
It has nothing to do with the 48x48 base plates. It should fit, but you have to fix the rails with extra plates under the track (you can not attach them directly on the base plate)
-
Or maybe Lego is just jealous about the superior train designs of HABricks (and also the much "superior" prices) (<:
-
So they should do the same with BMR, to name one.

Hello For Lego powered switches, there are a lot of different building solutions, and that one in the video is the one I use and find to be the best (using also powewred functions and "The Brick Automation Project". This is the original video (2) HOWTO LEGO Train Motorized Points Switch - YouTube
-
Why not try 43093 replacing the 1L bar and the 1x1 plate?
-
Looks good. I would probably motorize that with 2 train motors under the tender.
-
If the gears fit on a design software (with collisions ON), it should be "reliable". The problem is prolonged use under over stressed conditions.
-
Green is better. Now about the price: 10133 BNSF 40$-67$(with inflation someone said). 407 bricks. If you compare with OE train you get more than 300$.
-
If they pay anything. The publicity factor could be enough. Does anyone know these values? How many sets are produced? What is the percentage for the designers? This set was so far from the original that the author was actually paid only for having the idea of building an OE train in Lego.

Hello I think the cars are quite proportional (except for the lengh of course). The width was around 2,800 meters, so the problem is they are actually 9wide scale (if 9wide=3 meters). It´s because of that they look very well with the krocodile 10277 wich was 8/9 wide in lenght/hight, althout 7 wide wide.
-
The next BIG DEAL will be someone that does the obvious thing: transform the 2 out of scale cars in one well done scaled car and mod the lokomotive into something also more scale-like, and also easily motorisable. In both cases, that means, basically, make them longer.
