  1. Hello I think the cars are quite proportional (except for the lengh of course). The width was around 2,800 meters, so the problem is they are actually 9wide scale (if 9wide=3 meters). It´s because of that they look very well with the krocodile 10277 wich was 8/9 wide in lenght/hight, althout 7 wide wide.
  2. The next BIG DEAL will be someone that does the obvious thing: transform the 2 out of scale cars in one well done scaled car and mod the lokomotive into something also more scale-like, and also easily motorisable. In both cases, that means, basically, make them longer.
  3. Hello My favorite non-lego is Bluebrixx (the only one I have). They only have Lego bricks (with only one exception: a small ring to connect bricks tube-tube, which is rather usefull). Some are new colors, and the quality is rather good, at less than half the price.
  4. In one of the movies in Youtube, it becomes very clear that the problems are in the wheels assemble of the loko (same problem with EN). The author uses a 9v motor (metal track) under the tender, which hardly works while the loko is in front of the train. When he took it out, the train "flies". It´s really a big difference. On the other end, I think that 2 vertical motors in the loko could be a good solution, too. (with 2 old medium motors it will work for sure)
  5. That´s what I think.
  6. Hello Yes that´s what I mean. There´s also another Lego train that could be useful for comparison: the 71044 disney train.
  7. The PU was made for around 1kg trains and that´s it.
  8. I used SetSpeed in BAP (BrickAutomationProject) controlling software. I thought it would maintain the same train speed regardless the battery level. This doesn´t happen, which is a bit disapointing.
  9. My first concern with positioning these motors horizontally, is securing them with vertical technic beams, connected to the technic chassis of the loco. I once built the https://www.snakebyte.dk/lego/instructions/trains/steam_engines/br_78_steam_engine/index.php and the motor "jumped" after some minutes of rolling. In spite of being easy to fix, I later decided to take the motor out and go to the push solution.
  10. I think they didn´t motorise for 1 reason: The weight(drag) would put the "system" over the design limits (battery drain and hardware wearing). On the other hand, it has the advantage of leaving that job to AFOLS("US"), which may increase the interest in the set by around 20% (I guess). Now let´s wait for the other 2 solutions: 1-one or two train motors under a heavily modified tender 2-one or two train motors in the coaches (probably with 2 hubs).
  11. I think there is space enough to put the motors in a vertical position, over the 2 flanged wheels. It is my favorite method, and they never come loose (just attach them witn black pins to a horizontal plate with holes). The problem with these medium motors is they became expensive, because not produced anymore (PF and PU) Now I would add some studs to the boiler, to make it more scale like, and a medium BBB wheel at the back. Otherwise, I prefer the normal wheels.
  12. No need they came together with the model, Thank you!
  13. I thought you had the instructions! Some people have the set already. Great work! Did you design the new rods and the T plate for the windows as well?
  14. The same cannot be said about the coaches boogie assembly, which I think will benefit from some modding (at least replacement of the standard wheels with the old ones with metal axes). Probably also use of normal couplers.
  15. IO FILE PLEASE
  16. You are wright! I tried to find them in Studio. About the motorisation:I would try 2 vertical medium motors in the loko, directly connected to the flanged wheels. Lego is not producing the round ones anymore, but I don´t know if the large motors wil fit Part 21980 : Electric, Motor WeDo 2.0 Medium [Electric:Electric, Motor] [BrickLink]
  17. How many new bricks did you spot? Coaches: I saw 1 , a modified 1x2 T plate to fix the snot windows. Loko the drivers? and the 4 modified 2x4 plates in the front (I think these are new)
  18. Where can we order this one ? (another fake news?) The chinese or japanese were fast to copy this thing and this time it´s not illegal.
  19. Where is the link?
  20. I think it will have stickers (it´s a lot of printed bricks). It seems there are some pieces in new colours, and apparently complete new pieces also.
  21. Not those ones. They cost around .50 each. In this case the set comes with 18
  22. OE+10277 from BrickLink Studio
  23. Anything goes, but I think the one that comes with the set is not that bad. And I am betting on a new blue. (otherwise it´s dark blue)
  24. I wouldn´t be surprised about a new blue like Maersk Blue
