  1. Interesting. That may be one advantage we have in Australia then where sets go on sale all the time here. I think I saw the A-wing on sale in September last year and I bought the last MF on the day of release(1/10/19) for 20% off.
  2. It does provide more value than at least the last two battle packs. A Mashable speeder bike that has had many appearances is better than the two barely seen Sith and Mando vehicles. Also it has three of the same figure which makes it easier to amass an army of soldiers without too many officers or specialists. Snow troopers should have more utility for army building as well given a Hoth diorama would be more popular than an Exogol one. Inflation from 2016 when the last increase happened would change $15 to ~$17.20. If the price stays $20 until 2028 then that should be in line with inflation as well.
  3. It’s not on the list of retiring SW sets in Australia and apparently will still be available until the end of 2022. I don’t really see the point in retiring it anyway. As long it’s not troubling the production of other sets and the build techniques are not outdated they could keep it in production it as there will always be a market for it.
  4. Once Grogu was introduced it was inevitable that Luke would appear. I will be looking forward to Mando doing his own thing is season 3 and get back to space western roots. I might have to start playing Dark Forces after all these years to appreciate this Dark Trooper set. 75325 should be the only remaining unknown then I believe.
  5. Yeah, The Clone Wars hasn’t been very accessible in Australia. I believe it only became available on demand in 2014 on Netflix which didn’t become widespread until ~2017-18. I didn’t watch it until 2019 after I’d watched all of Rebels and I first watched Empire in 1995. One of our major retailers, KMart, won’t even carry stock of the TCW sets at the moment so they only stock half the current wave.
  6. It should work if they could use two of this piece https://brickset.com/parts/4525915/shell-6x8x2-w-bow-angle. The star bird could be done with a similar solution as the TIE Pilot helmet and the Imperial insignia. The chinstrap might be hardest part though.
  7. Just a rough calculation going from 4.5cm minifig = 2m. 75288 is already 35cm tall at $250 so for ~$1300 it’s going to need to be substantially larger than that.
  8. It should be very close to minifig scale. That would scale to about a meter in height and a bit less in length, which is comparable to the Falcon at 84cm.
  9. Yeah $580 is a bit too much. Looks great however. Also boycotting this set because there’s no orange, or petranaki arena included.
  10. That’s the most interesting part of the post, that this fake list is ‘not even close’ to the 2022 summer wave.
  11. Meh. Is this the first wave with zero sets from movies? Good builds but for me this the worst SW wave since the dark ages. I’ll probably limit purchases to just the Gauntlet and the Havoc Marauder. Maybe the Arqitens but only for a Republic mod as suggested.
  12. Agreed. $US70 will be $Au150 and half of the pieces are the base. 75183 Vader transformation is a much better set. The chamber itself is not too bad as a set but not at that price and 18+.
  13. It is a bit too flimsy for mine but I like the approach. Ideally there would be a sub-theme of incredibly detailed 18+ non-UCS sets between 75301 and 10240 scale.
  14. The images currently available look bluer than sand blue anyway, almost closer to medium blue or dark azure. Sand blue will look good, once the set is fully revealed.

  16. It looks like Lego has put some effort in to their supply issues here. The summer 2021 wave seems to be mostly available where I am, at least online. In addition, the helmets and probe droid are still available at s@h and the only out of stock set is the 501st. 75257 is also hanging around for a long time for anyone that doesn’t have Boolio. It is still probably a good idea to get the winter sets as soon as they’re available. Another issue may be that sometimes non-movie sets have a limited distribution(eg. 75262, 75254, 75280). Therefore the Mandalorian fighter might be hard to find as it’s more obscure than an X-wing or Slave I.
  17. A bit more colourful than I expected but real machicolations so that’s great.
  18. So it’s basically the Pasaana speeder chase and the Knights of Ren transport ship combined? Based on that the Australian price will be close to $200. A more realistic price of $160 still doesn’t seem worth it. Oh well, more to spend on 3 in 1 castles then. I do like the design though and more sand blue is always good.
  19. We have them at a few retail stores here in Australia. That might be because we’re part Asia Pacific though.
  20. So there’s a chance it will be lower than $200 here given $US85 is about $111?
  21. Two of the AT-ATs have had the same piece count despite being completely different designs. 10178 and 75054.
  22. Agreed. I built it last night and added a few small mods and it looks good. Most significantly changing the 4x8 plate under the nose for a 4x6 so the clips that attach the upper nose sit lower.
  23. I thought they were acceptable but improved by adding a black 1x3 tile on the top. I still haven’t completed the build yet but the sand green really irks me. Hopefully I have enough black pentagonal 2x3s to replace all of it on the roof. Sand green has it’s uses but not on anything medieval.
  24. The raw dimensions are similar but comparing the two in hand, there’s vast differences. The 2021 X-wing feels much lighter and flimsier. 380g compared to ~510g. The rear fuselage especially looks really thin for it’s height. It’s still a good set and is better proportioned. Depending on country, 75300 and 75301 together may not reach the threshold for a GWP as well.
  25. Yes, no connection business ownership apart from the name, similar branding, and concept. Strangely we do seem to get some American Target exclusives only at Target Australia such as 75203 and 75221. Otherwise store exclusives are not a common thing in Australia and certainly are not advertised as such. The nose of the shuttle looks terrible. It’s the same structure as 75221 but a different connection point because the whole top of the fuselage pivots up. At least my wallet will be happy this is looking like a lean year for SW Lego.
