Neither were you when referring to your MOC that couldn’t hold its own weight. Anyway the proportions are fine for 75292 but the look of it is that it’s a Razorcrest made from Lego. Compared to last years Slave I, which is so good I can forget it’s made in Lego, this one isn’t as good.

I’m well aware of the different rules for MOCs and official sets but, for example, tfcrafter’s version looks better for a similar class of piece count. From a pricing point of view Lego probably could have set it at $250-280 dollarydoos and 1500 pieces and they’d get a similar amount of sales. The proportions of 75292 look accurate though including the engines. 2 studs larger would be too much. My point about it being designed before November was more that Lego obviously did start well over a year ago but the look of the set and the timing of the pre-order combined with the release date gives the vibe of it being rushed.

My first thought was that it looks terrible. It’s not too bad but I expected better. There are much better MOCs around. Obviously rushed although Lego surely was able to access descriptions and art for the Razorcrest well before November last year. They had the perfect opportunity to use the new curved pieces from Poe’s X-wing but didn’t take it. I guess the positives are that it has all the basic elements of the Razorcrest in there, the front and canopy look good. The price is about what’s expected at $200 in Australia, similar to the Slave I and Ren’s shuttle. Overall adequate to good but a bit overhyped, pretty much the same as my opinion of the show itself.

In this case it can lead to the end of the product line. Lego should be well aware of it and that may be why the AT-AT and Soulless One are so expensive. Pricing can be a difficult balancing exercise though. I only hope that waves from now on will stay on shelves in Australia for longer than 4 months. Most of the TFF sets are already retired from stores and Poe’s X-wing is impossible to find. While I’m excited for the AT-AT, paying $250 for it will be hard.

Having just built it, I never thought so much orange could look so good. The wing mechanism works so much better than 75102/49 and even 75218. The front bands have improved it heaps but it has noticeably more tension so they might wear out quicker. Happy Life Day!

75273 was officially released on Thursday 19 December and available in Myer, DJs, Target etc. I have heavily modified my own 75102 but never thought of using the new curved pieces.

75218 X-wing and 75211 Tie Fighter would be obvious choices to start with. 75257 Millennium Falcon is also the best minifig scale Falcon. A suggestion for a retired set might be 75094 Imperial Shuttle.

Admittedly I had forgot the Tie Whisper, which would be great, and/or the skimmer is likely given Rey is in only the Speeder chase so far.

I’m not so sure there will be any more TROS sets. The sets that are available mostly cover everything already. Definitely more minifigs, however.

So like 75211 with hinges? It would be good but it’s unlikely.

Zorii Bliss isn’t part of the Resistance though. It wouldn’t make sense for her y-wing to include a Resistance pilot.

Agreed about this episode featuring the battle pack characters. I suspect it might include our spoilers little friend as well.

It looks like the Sith under Palpatine will be a different entity than the First Order. Pretty sure that’s still a T-70, not a T-85. I’m disappointed that there’s no improvement to the X-wings wings. The spring shooters should have been on the top wings. However the folding mechanic is better and the colours look great.
