It was January last year and April the year before that. -

75327 and a lot of other 1 March sets are now available at Kmart in Australia for anyone that wants to beat the scalpers at midnight. -

Why? The May UCS sets are usually revealed in the middle of April. The March wave sets were only revealed at the end of January. I wouldn’t expect anything from the May wave until the end of March. The other sets that were revealed are mostly tied to movies that have had their releases delayed by the pandemic and the sets would have been ready to go much earlier. -

I’m guessing you didn’t grow up in the 90s when there was only the OT. Nebulons were everywhere, in a lot of the EU books, the X-wing games and there were heaps of model kits and toys. I’ll give you that it’s obviously less prominent for the prequel generation but even for the design and build techniques alone it is more than interesting enough for a UCS set. Last year I also assumed 75303 was just another skipped set number, but it’s also listed in the information page on here as a 2022 set and Lego seems to have stopped skipping set numbers. Both 2019 and 2021 had 3 D2C sets as well. -

I think you underestimate how iconic the Nebulon B is. It has a unique shape that almost anyone would recognise and it’s been around for 40 years. However, US$530 is probably too expensive for a ship that’s not a capital ship like a Star Destroyer, Home One, or Venator. Brickset still has 75303 listed as a 2022 UCS so it’s possible this year could another one with 3 D2C sets. -

I did not know that. That set was even more overpriced then. $160 is still a lot of money for something so small. With the N-1 there’s at least a design with structure to provide a build experience. -

$100 for the N-1 is rough but with discounts it should be better. Also it is at least a decent size with a lot of detail and easily modded, possibly for spinning. The Palace at $160 is just too far. It’s 7 minifigs and a bunch of bricks. It’s not necessarily a bad set but it’s only of interest to minifig collectors. There isn’t even one of the Bomarr. I find it funny that Lego is following the trend for BoBF. Only one set from the show and it doesn’t even include Boba or Fennec. There probably won’t be another chance either if there’s only 5-6 unknown sets left for the year. -

AUD150 for that? It’s a good set but not at that price. Especially given the Dagobah set is meant to be cheaper, larger and with more pieces. Is the high price simply because of the Quarren, Gamorrean and Bib Chungus molds? -

Vader’s is the best helmet though. It looks so much better when building it. The Stormtrooper is the worst, the eyes are all wrong. Luke’s doesn’t look perfect but trying a few mods might be better. -

I’d say it’s a safe bet. Still no accessory packs for Australia. The odds of getting one could be 725 to 1. -

There is a tale. Probably Tessek. A Quarran that runs away before Fennec can shoot him. In legends he because one of the Bomarr. I like Bib Chungus. Just put his head of Killow's bigfig. -

Yes I had already mentioned the upper piece but I hadn’t seen the lower piece. They wouldn’t be for a scaled down set though. They’re the same size as the current pieces just better shaping. All I can see is 75343 an 18+ US$60 set in March. The only mention of a dark trooper head is from the same source as the republic fighter tank. -

An accurate snowspeeder would require a part like this https://rebrickable.com/parts/2349b/hinge-vehicle-roof-4-x-4-sunroof-with-ledges/ . There's not really that much that can be improved on the TROS Falcon. It already has fewer gaps than 75212 or 75105. The cockpit and the are on the mandible next to it would be main areas. I don't think it's likely for 2022 though as 75257 is still available, even here in Australia. Where does this rumour of a Dark Trooper helmet come from? It doesn't seem to be part of any of the leaked lists. All the other helmets have had sequential set numbers and 75326 and 75329 seem to be different sets. -
75315 Imperial Light Cruiser. Currently building it on a Friday night listening to the cricket.

75321 is the Razorcrest microfighter. The US$200 set for May this year looks to be 75341 Luke's Landspeeder. Last year it was 75308 R2-D2. The other large set this year is apparently 75331 at US$530. 75303 appears to be a missing UCS set. -

I have also been considering trying the 6x4 plates for Anakin’s Delta 7. At the moment the dark red 6x4s are only available in the Republic Gunship. It looks impressive already though.- 22 replies

Did anyone in Australia manage to get a Snowtrooper battlepack last night? It’s already sold out on Lego.com. -
Ideally they would bring back light stone grey. It would be useful for so many SW sets.

We have 27 sets that were meant to be available elsewhere on 1 January that are still coming soon. That also includes the Snowtrooper battlepack. Out of our major retailers, one has the Tiger and the CNY sets and nothing else from 2022. Edit: It seems a lot of those 27 sets are now coming 10 January so hopefully that's when the 3 SW battlepacks are available as well. -

Yeah it was nice, but they were still playing a joke on him for April Fools and perhaps giving him a chance to reveal the set himself. But the border is open now and things should be getting back to normal. Perhaps it more to do with difficulties getting stock from China. -

No the 501st was released in August along with the rest of the 2020 2HY wave. It was revealed on 3/4 April though because Lego wanted to troll MandR on April Fools day. There’s been waves of sets released every April since 2018. This year will be first for a while with non-D2C sets released on 4th May though. -

I though I overpaid for that set in February 2020 at 65 dollarydoos, now it’s $150 at least. You could buy all the parts on Bricklink for less than that. Hopefully all the ‘investors’ don’t try to send the Snowtrooper BP to the moon in January or Lego might withdraw it from the market due to poor sales like last time.
