LEGO Star Wars 2023 Set Discussion - READ FIRST POST!!!
Classic_Spaceman replied to MKJoshA's topic in LEGO Star Wars
DSII is more visually interesting, but probably too difficult to achieve at the scale that the promo will be. I am personally expecting the DSI. I can definitely ask that! βA good question, for another threadβ. -
PoBB was built on sandy islands, so I can see LEGO trying to have a consistent design-language between Pirates remake sets. Additionally, I specifically asked about tan (as I was curious about what colour the main part of the Fortress would be), so the set could also include grey bricks for rocks.

Lego Dreamzzz 2023
Classic_Spaceman replied to bricks4live1972's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
The entire theme feels like a reference to/reboot of Time Cruisers. I mean that in a good way - Time Cruisers/Twisters had an interesting concept, but the sets just felt like a way to offload surplus parts, so I look forward to what Dreamzzz has to offer! It was found of the Safety Korea website (under "LEGO Titan 2023 - VIP Glow in the dark stickers (105061)"), so it is legit. -
Considering that he mentioned tan pieces for a sandy island build, I assume that it will not have a raised baseplate (also, LEGO has been avoiding baseplates in general lately, outside of the modular lines).

Marvel Superheroes 2023 - Rumors & Discussion
Classic_Spaceman replied to Clone OPatra's topic in LEGO Licensed
The Minifigs in the leaked prototype are not final, so I would not worry about redundancy. Also, I can see us getting a $100 Blackbird (like the Quinjet) in 2024, with a lineup like Cyclops, Jean, Wolverine (reused from the mech), Magneto, and 1-2 other characters. -
Agreed. π

Thank you! The Lion's Anniversary Castle shows that LEGO can recreate the feel of raised baseplates well with regular bricks, so I am not overly worried. π

A GWP for later this year has been announced on r/LegoLeak, and I was able to find out a bit more information about it from u/FluffySky6. Based on the description, it sounds like a remake of 6048. Discussion of this set:

10305 Lion Knights' Castle 90th anniversary set
Classic_Spaceman replied to R0Sch's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
I asked u/FluffySky6 on Reddit about this and the new Eldorado Fortress: I am curious about the knight - It could be a new Dragon Masters knight, but I can see LEGO saving on prints and just sticking a Black Falcon in the set instead. I created a new thread to discuss the GWP:- 2,976 replies

I talked with u/FluffySky6 on Reddit (the person who provided information about the 2HY Star Wars sets) and asked about the new Eldorado Fortress and Castle Majisto set: Blue confirmed!

Another mech Minifig update (again, no actual spoilers): Boba sounds great, so I may actually get his mech. -

Mech Minifig update (no spoilers; just saving space): I also asked if Boba has a new jetpack piece, though I have not gotten a response about that. -

I just asked u/FluffySky6 about the mech Minifigs (which Vader and Boba variants we are getting, and if the Stormtrooper uses the trash compactor torso and legs); no response yet, but I will keep checking and updating here! Not getting a Minifig is disappointing, especially since there a number of Imperial officers that could have been included (Tarkin is the most obvious choice, but Romodi and Bast are also good choices). -
Marvel Superheroes 2023 - Rumors & Discussion
Classic_Spaceman replied to Clone OPatra's topic in LEGO Licensed
Considering that u/FluffySky6 said that the X-Men Minifigs look like their '90s incarnations rather than their modern ones, I assume that Storm will have her white suit (since all film depictions of her over the past ~20 years have the black costume). I also hope that she has appropriately voluminous hair (either this or a new piece)! -

With the CMF lineup confirmed, I wonder if u/FluffySky6 saw Monica Rambeau from the The Marvels set. Also, I am genuinely surprised that we are not getting Daredevil! -

I doubt that either will appear this wave, since the T-6 has the "Inquisitor" character and the New Republic ships set seems only to have pilots. A build of the Death Star, or a scene on the Death Star? Also, which one? -
Marvel Superheroes 2023 - Rumors & Discussion
Classic_Spaceman replied to Clone OPatra's topic in LEGO Licensed
Those were all that he mentioned. We are; he says that he is not very familiar with Marvel, and that he was mainly looking at the Moon Knight Minifigs. He was asked about She-Hulk, and he said that he did not recall seeing her. Not confirmation that she is not appearing, but it does lower her odds. π -

I just asked if Ultron had the stones printed on his torso (which would tell us if he is Infinite Ultron or AoU Ultron). -

Wolverine, Beast, Storm. Maybe Monica Rambeau from The Marvels? Not sure right now, but he only mentioned Wolverine/Beast/Storm when listing the X-Men that are included. -
Marvel Superheroes 2023 - Rumors & Discussion
Classic_Spaceman replied to Clone OPatra's topic in LEGO Licensed
I asked u/FluffySky6 if 1992-style X-Men meant that Storm would have her white suit: "I really wish I could say, I was honestly fixated on the Moon Knight figures. I just remember they weren't in the modern costumes from the newer movies" What If. . . ? S2 was delayed, so it makes sense if we do not get any 'figs for it in this series. -

12 Minifigs in the CMF. We already basically knew that, but we now have confirmation. -

He just said that the 1992 comic versions of the X-Men characters are close to their CMF appearances, but that he is not an expert, so they could be for X-Men '97. -

I did, and he said that he did not remember much else. He posted that Rex will have arm printing, though. π
