Just saw it, great improvement so far.

Well, well we'll. If it isn't @SteamSewnEmpireat work again. I can see you've taken into account the advice I suggested last time. I would recommend moving the bell back and removing the crane on the foremast. Otherwise, great work and keep it up!

@evancelt Oh, I saw this on Facebook (i'm Jimsmocs). Again, I really like the use of tiles on the deck. As @deravensaid, it came together very well. There were many mistakes you could have made but you've handled this very well. Count Vroski / Jimsmocs

@Cousarmy0001 No complaints from me. I'd give it a roof. But I have to say, this would be so amazing in real life. I'd love to see the fourth design. You are very, very good at these colonial buildings and this is only your first post of this nature. Keep up the good work! Count Vroski / Jimsmocs

Tortuga, Sea Turtle Island, 620 The wind was quiet and calm, the water lapping at the sides of the boat. Suddenly, a rush of water stirred on the port side of the vessel as the two strong fishermen heaved the net onto the boats small deck. The man towards the bow took out one fish and threw it back into the water. 'damn rules and regulations', he cursed, his wet face shining in the sunlight. Turning to the Fisher women in the boat, he said: 'd' you hear, Greybeard got a ship'. The women remained silent, biting her lip. The man carried on talking. 'she's a cutter by the name of the Sea Wench. Fifty feet from stem to stern. Me brother helped build her. At this the women replied: ' fat lot of good she'll do him. Ever since he lost his galleon, he seems to be a bit brooding. Like he's being manipulated by some sort of guilt or debt. The man turned to face the bright sun. ' guilt is a powerful thing' he said cryptically.

I am sorry, now I see the side photo of that render I certainly see what you mean. It didn't look right but its almost identical to the pic and now I see you've got it spot on. In other words, I'd maybe have some stern to bow height increase, middle low, bow and stern higher like in the plans. Another thing- I'd removed the crane from the foremast and move the bell closer to the center of the ship. Well done! Count Vroski

Free Class 2 Vessel - Cutter Sea Wench

@Fraunces Photography is very definitely something I should improve, you are most definitely right. Do you have any tips? -
@SteamSewnEmpire As @Mister Phes said, this is a very nice ship. It has a lot of details not included in most mocs, such as the red canvas? After House? Anyway, what a beautiful ship you have built for yourself. If this was rendered or built in real life it would be frontpaged in an instance. A word of advice: from the side she looks a bit low-riding. Well done on this ship, and keep up the great work!

@TomSkippyI'd move the mizzen 2-4 studs back but its up to you really. Frigates are super tricky. I've Been working on one for a month and a half. @Professor ThaumThaum do I have to register the sea Wench as a free build, as well as licencing it as a ship? -
Free Class 2 Vessel - Cutter Sea Wench
Count Vroskri replied to Count Vroskri's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
@KwatchiThanks so much, although She's not actually on a brick built hull, she's on the armada flagship hull . I can't actually get the sails off, as they're actually tied into the rigging. @Professor Thaum Thanks so much. -
It is a bright, clear day. Across the calm warm sea, a small rowboat slowly travelled along the sea. In it sat two men. 'She' s small,' said Sean Greybeard, to Quatermaster Jack Galsworthy. ' She maybe small, but she's manoueverable.' Climbing carefully out of the boat, Sean and Jack surveyed the ship, Sean's first command. For once in a while, He was Proud to be a Sea Rat. The Cutter Sea Wench is my Free Class 2 Vessel. She is armed with 4 18 pounder carronades and 4 3 pounder swivel guns. woohoo! I'm so happy! I can post photos now! She'll soon be licensed. Edit: She's licensed as a class 2 warship.

Hello Fellow Shipwrights, I have many complete ships to show you, but not yet. Here's a teaser of a stern of a early frigate, based on a the real plans of a pirate ship from POTC. I am taking a bit of artistic licence as there aren't many complete plans for her. Well, bragging rights to anyone who can guess who it is! @TomSkippy I went a different way, but you'll all have to wait a bit to see my completed ships. I'm the end I have got a load of hulls, but I'm using them for something else..... Here's my class 2 free vessel. Cutter Sea Wench. -

I would show a pic, I've uploaded it to Flickr but it doesn't want to insert into my reply. Any ideas why this is? -

Thanks so far everyone, but I think I have been a bit too vague. The ship is a beam width of 16 studs. I've sorted out the narrowing at the stern, the method I used won't work at the bow. The ship is galleon shaped, so I hope now I've cleared that up you might have more ideas. -

How does everyone build brick built bows when not using lego's prefabs? Thanks in advance. -
I can't remember where it might have been the moc forum. A bit vague, I know, but it was in a subforum of that forum perhaps.

I like this ship and wondered if anyone knew anything about it. Thanks.
