  1. I must say I much prefer the ambiguous old school feel with nothing really dating the city. A video rental or arcade would ruin that for me. Never got the Diner either.
  2. I figured it was just a pine bookshelf? To a scandi it doesn't look that weird. We do love our unfinished wood...
  3. Ah, got it set up in a bookshelf so never see that part, you're right of course!
  4. There is no stained windows in my Pet Shop?
  5. I wonder if they will officially refer to it as a pizzeria? To me it looks more like a little italian restaurant in general. I was worried it'd be more like a chain type place, much prefer this version.
  6. Looking closer I actually think it is, looks like there is som greenery inside. Must be a fancy pizza place, growing their own veggies on the roof all Noma-style. I actually kind of love it, have been hoping for a rooftop greenhouse.
  7. Are those stained windows on the jazz club? That will help the facade pop.
  8. I live in Sweden, we always get screwed on prices anyway. 🤷‍♀️
  9. That is way better than I expected. And bigger! Was worried the club and the restaurant would be crammed on top of each other. But this? Fun, colourful, goes great with the last couple of modulars. Can't wait to see the inside.
  10. I think if this was the first one we got I'd be really happy with it. I means, it's sort of like Star Wars but better. But the first two in particular were so brilliant with the minifig sized builds that this years microbuilds seems completely pointless in comparison, even if they are decent enough as far as microbuilds go.
  11. Hm, that's certainly a new direction. I quite like it, but it might be a stretch to fit in to a classic winter village set up. I suspect a lot of people will be quite disapointed. Think it might look good as a small town center with the Hogsmede set, thought.
  12. A little late for this year maybe, but dare we hope for a Christmas addition to the botanicals at some point, you think? I'm guessing a poinsetta would be the obvios choice. Amaryllis would perhaps be hard to build stable enough. A Christmas rose would be lovely too.
  13. While I'd rather have something else than another toy shop, I think at least the old one is easy enough to mod - just put something else in the windows. A clock maker, maybe? Or change the work station in the second floor in to a reading nook and make it a book store. I love this, might just get a few of the Christmas sweaters from the Star Wars and Marvel calendars and put in the windows.
  14. Yeah, it really made a huge difference, quite fascinating actually.
  15. Thank you! I actually think it looks pretty good, especially next to the bookshop. The extra row of windows doesn't bother me much, old towns aren't very symetrical. Since I like the interior even thought I'm not a huge Marvel fan I think it might be back on my wish list. Every city needs a secret headquarter, after all.
  16. Please share if you find any good ones!
  17. The tree, ornaments and the Duplo Gingerbread House is dropping September 1 according to the Sweden/Euro site.
  18. New tree is up on the website, 40573. Makes either one 30 cm tall tree or one 23 cm and one 16 cm one. I think it's gorgeous, much better than the 2019 GWP, love the old fashion style and the classical colours. A welcome adition both to the village and my Christmas table centrepiece.
  19. The switch is coming 2023, they're just showing off possible new designs. So series 23 should be fine. But yes, it will change my shopping habbits drastically. We have a webshop here that sells opened minifigs, I assume they will get more traffic. Wonder what the Lego shops will do?
  20. According to lego.com it's 32 cm, but some of that will be the chimneys, so it's actually not as tall as it looks. Can't wait to see how it looks displayed next to the modulars.
  21. The new Sanctum Santorium will certainly find it's place among the the modulars. Best fit for a non series set yet?
  22. Hi! New here, usually hang around in the modular and Harry Potter forums but I saw the farm sets and I had to see what everyone is saying about them. I would have preffered a slightly more old fashioned style to the barn and tractor, but I live pretty much all the side builds - and the animals! Now I'm thinking about creating a WWII-era urban farm for my modular city, just need to get a more old fashioned mini scale tractor or truck. Any suggestions? And I actually think the truck is pretty nice, even if it's to modern for me.
  23. To be honest, I've been low key hoping for a D2C Hogwarts Express since the rebooth. I was hoping for more Diagon Alley this year, I'd be happy for a few more shops to go with Gringotts, and the price does seem a little steep for a train. But having missed out on the last motorised HE as long as it *is* motorised and minifig scale that thing is going up around my Christmas Tree, no question. I still miss the 2018-2020 castle sections, Dumbledors office is alright but not more, but the non castle sets in this wave is nothing short of amazing. Can't believe we got 12 GP, and that it actually folds in.
  24. Yeah, we knew about the theme like August first last year. Lego have certainly cracked down on the leaks.
  25. The Harry Potter Hogsmede set is a candy shop and a pub. Obviously it's not a WV set but considering the similar architecture and snow covered roofs it would surprise me if we got either of those in the WV set this year.
