It's amazing. I don't understand the point, but that doesn't detract from its quality as a model.

This is really sweet.

Honestly, I think some ships translate well into Lego, and others do not. And the Rebel Transport generally doesn't (weirdly enough, it seem to work less well in larger scales than in smaller ones). With regards to this version, I like the back a lot - the engines, the five raised "fin" areas, and the curvature of the stern are all fairly strong. But it all falls apart once you go about a quarter of the length forward. If you look at the GR-75... ... aside from some greebling/plating, the upper "clamshell" is actually quite smooth, with extremely gentle lines. And... Lego plates, even positioned at varying angles, really cannot capture that smoothness properly. Moreover, the proportions are just bad; the GR-75 is long and pretty graceful - this vessel is kind of bloated and stumpy. I think mortesv's version came closer by several magnitudes to the true form of the thing in a far smaller package. And he gave his away for free. I like Cavegod's previous designs a lot. But, for me at least, this one is just totally off the mark. $50 is a ton to ask for something that's so terribly flawed (please note: I'm feel like criticism is perfectly justified when someone is asking fifty big ones for something - once you turn this hobby into a business, you have to accept critiquing. For that much money, this thing should be pretty close to perfect. It isn't).

Legos are blocks. Castles are composed of stone blocks. A lot of their elements have hard angles that Lego well represents; there are a ton of castle-specific parts that Lego has developed over the years that, without a castle line, are not generating revenue. Additionally, millenials and - in particular - generation Y have profoundly materialistically-oriented nostalgia; there is money to be made in farming both them directly, and their children, for whom they would like similar experiences. All of the above are good business reasons why Lego will eventually do another castle line - it's just too logical a play not to call.

Forever is very long time. I believe castle will come back.

I'd like to get the new X-wing. However, it is massively overpriced and - worse - supports the narrative abortion that is RotS. I'm kind of on the fence. I will say this: due to Disney's treatment of Star Wars, I will never visit one of their theme parks again.

I know it's stupid, and that castle hasn't really "gone away" so long as people continue to build it. But I was walking down the Lego aisle of my local Fred Meyer (sort of an upscale Walmart from the Pacific Northwest) and just sad to see the shelves so dominated by Star Wars and Super Hero sets. And that's not to say that Star Wars and Super Hero themes don't have their place, or don't deserve to be there - I certainly own plenty myself - but I just terribly miss things like the Woodsmen, and Black Knights, and Wolf Pack, etc. In a larger sense, I also feel like a lot of the recent themes - Ninjago and Hidden Side are particularly guilty of this - have fallen into the trap of telling kids stories, rather than allowing people buying the product to make up their own minds or create their own universes. It's obvious that random Sith XYZ with his red lightsaber is the "bad guy," but what about your average Woodsman? Was he a freedom fighter, or a cutthroat? That was really up to the child. This ambiguity has really gone out the window with Lego sets across-the-board over the past two decades, and it was SO ESSENTIAL to my development as a little kid that I cannot imagine having grown up without it. I also miss simpler items that have been phased out - like the pointed helmet of yore: IMO, while I tended to overlook it a lot at the time, that really was my favorite Castle-themed headware, and I wish it would come back in some more modern silvered colors. It's not that I dislike the newer gear, but it was cool that that particular helmet offered both protection, realistic looks, AND allowed your to display the character's face. There was something almost kingly about it, too - very reminiscent of the armored crowns that so many monarchs wore into battle: Anyway, I'm just rambling, I know. But I'm very dispirited about the future of traditional lines like Castle (and Pirates). Couldn't they just lay off the gas pedal slightly with the endless parade of police sets one year and cut us a break?

In terms of colors, 75149. In terms of design, this one. Personally, I'm going to be building an E-wing to celebrate real Star Wars.

I think I'll get a few. I've always wanted a little Mando squad.

I think in terms of basic visuals, this is one of the cooler X-wings they've ever done. But, I gotta say, the film lost me. I mean, what a strange way to finish the Palpatine saga.

This stinks. I know that they're a fragment of BLink's overall store base, but it was nice to have all these various businesses under one roof. It made BLink a one-stop-shop for most of what you needed. Not so much anymore.

I wonder if this will mark the downfall of the "chroming" people? It was nice to be able to have chrome bricks of any shape made.

Thanks for your continuing help. When I attempt to install 4.3.10, it tells me that it could not locate Adobe Flash on my PC (I do have flash on my PC). It then attempts to download Flash and crashes. This is what I am getting. I even uninstalled Flash just so that LDD would not attempt to override a newer version of Flash, and it still crashes whenever it attempts to D/L it: There doesn't appear to be any option where LDD 4.3.10 installs without it attempting to download flash... and when it tries to do that, it blows up. So... I'm not sure where to go from here.

Unfortunately, that appears to have done nothing. I have no idea how LDD was set up on my old PC - it was version 4.3.11, but gave a message that it couldn't connect to the internet upon loading. The bricks it could load, however, were (as far as I know) the same they have been for about 3 years. I tried deleting all the assets on the new PC, then bringing over the ones from the old PC, but that hasn't solved the problem, either. Is 4.3.11 the wonky version? What version should I be trying to acquire, and do you know where I can nab it?

I just finished switching over to a new PC. Upon downloading LDD, I discovered that the sorting for parts was completely messed up, missing many of the divisions I am familiar with: Worse, a ton of bricks that I previously had access too appear to be gone from the program. I went so far as to delete the software and use a USB drive to bring the version from my old PC over, but to no avail - it's still wonky and unusable. I'm concerned that I may never be able to design models again, because I simply cannot use horrible Studio 2.0 (nothing against the designers of this program, but I can't scroll through every brick in creation just to find the one I want). Does anyone know how to get the version I was using back? Or what it prompting LDD to behave like this? Is it Windows 10?

I'm almost starting to regret Lego putting Lepin out of business. When Lego changes the plastic formula in a major way, and all my old bricks suddenly become obsolete, I'm out.

I would never, ever travel with Lego willingly. I guess I'm not the target audience here. In my experience, building an elaborate base can often approach doubling your part count - even for projects brick-hungry (on their own) as castles. I don't think there *is* a work-around to that.

Nevermind, just saw it. Didn't realize a tree constituted a station now.

Can't tell if you're pulling my leg or not. I saw the lighthouse and the carnival funhouse for the January rollout. Do you have a link to pics of a subway?
