Harry Potter 2021 - Rumors & Discussion
(Insert Name Here) replied to Captain Nemo's topic in LEGO Licensed
I don't think we really need a HP TV series based off the main book series because: 1. All the tension with Rowling would probably cause problems 2. The films were and still are incredibly popular and a remake isn't needed 3. If you want a really book accurate version, just read the books/listen to the audiobooks. -

I think the tricky think with the baby nifflers is that the niffler piece is already about as small as you can make it. I think the most likely beasts to get if we do get anymore FB sets are: The Zouwu, the matagots and the Mooncalves. The Zouwu was basically the main new beast of the second film, the matagots are in an important action scene too and the mooncalves appeared in both films. -

I quite like the idea of a Bill and Fleur Wedding expansion to the Burrow. Nothing too big, but some tables, chairs, tent build. Then for figures: Bill, Fleur, Harry, then maybe someone more obscure like Xenophilius Love good and/or Elphias Doge. -

Well, tbh I would kind of like a Cormac minifigure, but maybe in his Quidditch outfit, with maybe a chest/shoulder plate. I just think with all the decorations and minifigures in the Astronomy Tower set we don't need the Advent Calender to be based off the Slug Club. -

I think we've had enough Slug Club based things, what with the Astronomy Tower set, and the the Ginny minifigures in the 2nd cmf series. I'd rather see either: The Burrow (from HBP), 12 Grimmauld Place (OotP) or Hogsmeade (PoA). -

Grim looking. That baby Voldemort piece is adorable ?? I do see your point. But at least they didn't include a dead Cedric Diggory. -

A set of the inferi cave? Hahahaha. As if Lego would make a set based off that scene. First off it's a bunch of reanimated corpses killed by Voldemort, if it was skeletons then maybe Lego might make it. But even then the scene has Dumbledore drinking a potion that makes him think about him being the one to kill his own sister. And he even shouts in the scene: "Kill Me." Yeah no. Lego is not going to make this set. Also I highly doubt we'll get Regulus as a minifig as he doesn't physically appear in the films. -

I don't really buy big/expensive sets so the Durmstrang Ship isn't very appealing to me. As we barely see it in the film as well I'm not too fussed at all. I wouldn't mind though if we got a second task/black lake set. With some merpeople, maybe a new grindylow piece. I'm hopeful that at some point we'll get Igor Karkaroff and Rita Skeeter minifigures too. -

I was just thinking about at ideas. Does anyone else want to see a Bill and Fleur wedding set? Like a gazebo build, with some tables, decorations and a wedding cake. You could even do a mini build of Kingsley's patronus (just some trans blue pieces on a trans white stand, as the film doesn't have his lynx) For minifigures obviously Bill and Fleur, then maybe Harry and a more unique character like Xenophilius Lovegood (with a deathly hallows necklace print) or Elphias Doge. I'd even hope for Ron's Great Aunt Muriel even though she isn't named in the film. -

Agree. I wish they had the Sirius Black newspaper as a print instead of sticker as that could've been used in multiple sets. I'm just glad that since we got the new books there are new 1x2 tiles that aren't Wingardium Leviosa, hope they crop up in more sets. -

I like most of your picks, but I'm pretty sure if they do another HP cmf then there would only be 12 minifigures, so I'd definitely leave out Luna and Neville for a start. Especially as we've gotten them in so many sets, we don't need them in the cmf series anymore. -

Ah maybe I am. I just think it's a little odd that certain names of places aren't originally from the books and only added afterwards. -

I'm not too sure about this map. I've been relistening to the HP audiobooks so many of these places are never mentioned. In fact I'm pretty sure Scribulus is actually in Hogsmeade not Diagon Alley. (this was one of the reasons I wasn't a huge fan of the lego DA set) -

Yeah as mentioned The Boggart snape minifig was in the Bricktober pack. If Harry was in the defence against the dark arts set then I'd put Draco in the Care of Magical Creatures instead of Harry. I don't think they'd make fully blown sets of the classes I mentioned as Hagrids Hut already had Buckbeak, as for Divination and Defence we only get one scene of each in the films. Or maybe they could do Lockhart, Lupin, Moody and Umbridge for a Defence against the Dark Arts set covering years 2-5. -

Thought I'd draft up ideas if they make anymore of the book builds with some other subjects: Defence against the Dark Arts: Figures: Professor Lupin, Neville and a Dementor Minifigure. Design: A big sticker with the dragon skeleton on it, a wardrobe build with a mirror sticker and a small record player build. Maybe a table with a horned skull on it? The book colour: Dark Brown Care of Magical Creatures: Figures: Hagrid, Harry and Ron. Design: I don't think they'd include Buckbeak, but they could have Buckbeak on a sticker flying. Maybe a couple of nifflers (based of Goblet of Fire) and a few tree builds made like the archways. The book colour: Blue or Brown. Divination: Figures: Professor Trelawny, Hermione and Lavender Brown (or someone like Dean Thomas). Design: The set could have some round tables and chairs with the Transparent minifigure helmet piece as crystal balls, and some teacups as well. The background could have some candles and curtains blocking windows. The book colour: Dark blue or purple. -

I'm thinking it's going to be an ice-cream person rather than gingerbread. I think it'd work well for a HP merperson. -

With the change to 12 minfigs per cmf series I think it's less likely we'll get Fantastic Beasts Characters in another HP series. My top 12 more realistic choices for another cmf would be: 1. Igor Karkaroff 2. Rita Skeeter - with a green quill and paper. 3. Gilderoy Lockhart - maybe one of his books, or a new pixie piece. 4. Kreacher - could have a picture of Mrs Black (Sirius' mother) 5. Blaise Zabini 6. Bill Wesley - in his wedding robes 7. Fleur Delacour/Weasley - in her wedding dress from DH 8. Aberforth Dumbledore 9. Bathilda Bagshot 10. Harry 11. Ron 12. Hermione Couple other characters I'd like to see: Katie Bell, Cormac McClaggen, Ernie McMillan, Justin Finch-Fletchley, Madam Pomfrey, Barty Crouch Senior, Lucius Malfoy, Crabbe and Goyle. -

I'm still hoping for a Karkaroff minifigure as well as Rita Skeeter. But as I don't have a huge budget I'm not the biggest advocate for a new Durmstrang ship. Amos Diggory would be a fun character to get, maybe if they do another Bricktober, as idk if they'd include him in a set (or cmf). -

I agree with everything you say. Some of the big stickers look great, but would fit better on a Hogwarts building, rather than a large book piece. -

While the full Hogwarts crest looks okay, it's still nowhere near appealing enough for me to consider getting it. Or 4 of them!! You can get posters of the houses that look better than these for a tiny fraction of the price. I'm definitely not wasting any of my money on the mosaic line. -

I was just ordering some bits and bobs from Lego's bricks and pieces page, including a Hidden Side mould that'll work for Death Eater flying/apparition from Order of the Phoenix. But when I checked out it asked if I wanted to join VIP, bymut when I clicked on the link the page just had a loading circle and even after 6 minutes it hadn't loaded. Anyone else having a problem joining lego vip? -

Yeah, I suggested Justin Finch-Fletchley (Hufflepuff and features in CoS). Yes Padma is a Ravenclaw, for the films she's in Gryffindor though. Idk which house Lego has deemed her though. I agree with most of the people here, I think the new crest art looks ugly. Looks like some bad poster art an 11 year old who's trying to be edgy would have. I don't know why the colours are so muted and just a ton of grey pieces. Tbh I think the art sets are really expensive and kind of boring as a whole. -

I'm not a huge fan of the badges prints as I can't remember them in the films and it's a weird thing to bring back for no reason as none of the other current jumper prints have them. However, if they do do a Percy minifigure it'd be cool to see a Prefect badge print (like a little red shield with a silver outline and letter P or a HB for Head Boy). Nope, I think they're sticking with Cho's darker skin. I didn't like it when the cmf Cho came out, but I think it'd be a bit weird if they changed it now there's been a fair few minifigs of her. -

One thing about the new HP lego books I think is odd is this: Cho is a year above Harry and Cedric is two years above Harry. I kind of understand as they wanted to have a student of the corresponding house (as well as the head of house). My suggestions for different characters would be: Padma Patil from Ravenclaw (I know she was Gryffindor in the films but I don't care) and Justin Finch-Fletchley from Hufflepuff. The latter especially I think would've worked perfectly as he features quite a lot in Chamber of Secrets, as he was one of the petrified students. (there's also a cool deleted scene where he introduces himself to Harry at Lockhart's dueling club). Also, I never thought about it when the 2nd cmf came out, but Miriam Margolyes who played Professor Sprout is really short, so giving her full legs for the book set is a bit off, I'd say mid-legs or short legs would fit the character more. (the hair hat piece makes her even taller anyway). -

I agree, I thought his hair was too over the top, but I understand they wanted to make him look striking. The hetrochromia I wasn't a big fan of as they didn't do that for either of the actors of Grindelwald in Deathly Hallows. While I didn't think Depp was quite right for the role, and the second film wasn't that great, but I'm definitely not happy how WB are treating Depp. I kind of don't mind if we do or don't get anymore Lego sets based off Fantastic Beasts, the few we did get were pretty good, idk if the rest of the series will be popular enough/actually finish to get any more sets.
