  1. Just saw the golden owl piece. Exactly what I've been wanting/speculating ever since I saw the wing spread Hedwig. So yeah really happy were getting this.
  2. Just saw a possible leak of a Hermione minifig which looks to be based off Deathly Hallows. Whether real or not it looks pretty good, I'd be fine if it's genuine.
  3. I'm with you on that. It'd be cool if they could make a pentagon tile piece like they made a heart shaped tile (I have it from the tin man in the lego movie 2 cmf series). I'd almost rather just have the packaging design as the print would be too small for the head of a minifig on a small tile. Unless they make them much bigger, so I think it's pretty likely it'll be laminated and printed cards. Idk if it's been mentioned on here yet, but there's a new owl print that's been leaked. Some people wondered if it was specifically Errol. I'm leaving towards it just being a generic owl.
  4. I feel that Justin and Colin will be okay as they'll be in school robes. Also their hair is pretty straight forward. (hope Justin gets a smug face print) The others though yeah it's a bit more daunting. I'm still not sure if I like Sinistra's inclusion as she wasn't really a character in the films. The Flumes I hope they get their design accurate from the dvd extras of PoA as we do see them quite a bit in the exploring Honeydukes section. Madam Rosmerta we didn't get a great look at in the film so I think the design could be a bit odd.
  5. I think the leaked minifig are pretty cool. The Hermione and Ron from the Third Floor Corridor look good and accurate. Golden Harry and Hermione are fine, like all the golden figs (cool too see the hair in gold). Not too fussed about cat Hermione, think the eyes are a little odd.
  6. I've only just now found out about and saw the new Riddle minifig. I don't particularly love it. Looking back it's kind of strange in the films how different his and Myrtle's robes are considering they were around at the same time. But the school crest is a bit too rounded (they could've made the design closer to the one on the moaning myrtle fig) and there's no printing for a prefect badge. And the legs just look too light for my liking, even though he wears light grey trousers in the film his black robes cover almost all of it. The angry face is decent, but the other face is just goofy. Would've been cooler if we had a serious face, then a cracked face like when Harry stabs the diary.
  7. Has anyone seen AshnFlash's latest video? It nicely sums up everything on the chess set idea. And also covers the buildable creature idea.
  8. I thought the build able Hedwig was decent, and I thought the Monster Book of Monsters was cool (would've maybe got it if it wasn't a gift with purchase) but I don't think we really need anymore buildable creatures. The only times we see Fawkes is in Chamber of Secrets (and a tiny moment in Order of the Phoenix), and whilst the puppet is a fantastic animatronic, I don't know if Fawkes has the iconicity that Hedwig does.
  9. I think I've said it here before but if they ever do anymore classroom books I'd like to see books for: Defence Against the Dark Arts: either based on Chamber or Prisoner, can have the dragon skeleton printed on an upper sticker. Then paintings of Lockhart or the cabinet the Boggart's in, pixies or horned skulls, another sticker showing the stairs to the office room. Figs: Lockhart or Lupin, Neville & Dean Thomas. Divination: Tables, chairs, Crystal balls and teacups, the stickers could be big billowy curtains over windows. Figs: Trelawny, Ron & Parvati Patil. Care of Magic Creatures: Set outdoors, sticker could show Hagrid's hut in the background, trees in the background, Buckbeak flying overhead. (maybe even some nifflers from Goblet of Fire when they study them, and a campfire). Figs: Hagrid, Draco & Hermione. Flying/Quidditch: Another more outdoor set, maybe have a broom closet, a play feature to fly a broom up and down. A socket could have the statue Neville gets stuck on. Figs: Madam Hooch, Harry & Seamus. (or Oliver Wood)
  10. That's be cool. 8 think the upright mermaid piece used for Mer-Bat in the Lego Batman CMF series would also be an option as it's very tall and some bts from Goblet has done of the mermaids floating in upright positions.
  11. I like the idea of a wingspread Fawkes like we have with Hedwig. (I'm also hoping for a gold wingspread Hedwig for the owl lecturn Dumbledore reads from PoA and onwards) Even though I love the chess scene in the film, I don't know how many people will want to buy a very pricey chess set. Also certain poses like the crouched pawns and the sword held by the king would be hard to do with the minifigures. I just dont see how it could be done accurately and worth the price.
  12. Hmm, idk why but I'm not the biggest fan of the Pixie mold. Just something about the shape looks odd to me. Also, I was watching some special features from Goblet of Fire and I'm now hoping we get Merpeople and/or Grindylows.
  13. I'm still holding out for minifig of: Madam Pomfrey, Igor Karkaroff and Rita Skeeter. The last being one of my favourite characters in the films. I'm also hoping for Xenophilius Lovegood, and since we've had so many Luna minifigs I wouldn't be surprised. There's other characters though that I think should be made: Elphias Doge, Percy Weasley, Kreacher, Blaise Zabini, Katie Bell, Lee Jordan. I can take or leave Barty Crouch Sr, the film really took away all his character and he had no impact on the plot. Would be great to have an updated Narcissa Malfoy as the older version of her (like Bellatrix) is practically perfect in every way but hard to get hands on.
  14. I know I just talked about wanting Harry in his red sweater from Philosopher's Stone (from the trapdoor to his showdown with Quirell/Voldemort) But today I noticed that when Harry inspects Riddle's diary and gets sucked into the book's memory of Riddle interrogating Hagrid guess what Harry's wearing? Yes he's wearing the same red sweater, and it looks like someone's cast reparo on it.
  15. I was just rewatching Philosopher's Stone and now I'm really wanting a minifig of Harry in his red sweater with a couple of scratches from the trapdoor to showdown with Quirell & Voldemort. It's such an iconic look, who else is with me.
  16. I'd totally be up for a minifig of Ron in his quidditch robes in the cmf. Well we don't know yet what minifigs are included in the new Hogsmeade set that's coming, fingers crossed for Katie Bell. I think Leane who appears in the film is also in the books but I'm not sure. Fun fact Isabella Laughland who plays Leane appears in the second season of BBC's Ghosts, which also stars Charlotte Richie who played a background Slytherin student in Goblet of Fire.
  17. I agree. I really think they could've mixed it up more. My picks would've been: Angelina Johnson (Griffindor) Zacharias Smith (Hufflepuff) Roger Davies (Ravenclaw) Blaise Zabini (Slytherin) I'd include Angelina Johnson as she does get a moment in the films, when Fred (or George idk) asks her to the ball. Either her or Katie Bell as she also appears in the films a bit. I really think we've had enough Cho and Cedric figures for a lifetime so I'll have to go with Zacharias Smith and Roger Davies. The latter did also appear in Goblet of Fire, as he went with Fleur to the Yule Ball and he was the quidditch captain. Then Blaise, who we do actually see is on the quidditch team in Half Blood Prince during the match where Ginny gets a moment of badassary and Ron saves all the goals. That's a shame because if they do a battle of Hogwarts set we'll never get Aberforth's patronus which is a goat, which they don't show in the film instead it's just a big white/blue wave. At least there's a little moment of Aberforth's goat obsession in the films when Harry, Ron and Hermione first visit the Hogs Head in Order of the Phoenix we see a goat in the pub.
  18. I was going to say he does appear quite a bit, in the background of the fat lady scene and in the deleted scenes with Cadogan telling McGonagal about Sirius Black entering the common room as he had Neville's list of the passwords. Also that interactive game slaps. "And remember if you have need of noble heart and steely sinue call upon Sir... Cadogan." I'm all for a minifig of Cadogan. But I'm rather against one of Peeves, as he really doesn't appear in the films.
  19. Tbh that's not a bad idea actually. It was coloured in green with a similar print it could be the Basilisk.
  20. I recently remember someone suggesting that a new dragon head piece from Ninjago could be recoloured for the Ukrainian Ironbelly. I think this is the head piece they mean, it's from set7 1746. I think it might work. What're your thoughts? (sorry it's so cropped, it wouldn't let me upload any file size larger)
  21. I'm not sure if that leak is genuine, and I kind of hope it isn't as I think it's a bit of a waste making a figure for a character who you see once on screen who never gets a line of dialogue. I had this same issue with Florean Fortescue in the Diagon Alley set. I'd much prefer getting figures such as: Madam Pomfrey, Tom the barkeeper, Katie Bell or one of the many other characters who gets actual screen time in the films.
  22. Oh yeah I totally forgot he does say "Miss Clearwater." But yeah she doesn't really appear. It's interesting on a reread of the book, Percy is really meant to be a false lead as he keeps cropping up: he finds Ron and the gang coming out of the girls bathroom and tells him off, he bumbs into Draco, 'Crabbe' and 'Goyle'. Wish the film had just a little more of him in it.
  23. My thoughts on the new sets: The girls bathroom: A scene I wanted to see, I like the sink design from the film and I like the idea of it being a similar build size to the room of requirement. Decent minifig picks and I understand why they won't include Myrtle as she was in the cmf. I'd still like to see a Percy minifig somewhere as he's quite prominent in CoS. Hogsmeade: I quite like the sound of it. We do see quite a bit of Honeydukes in the Prisoner of Azkaban, and the Three Broomsticks appears in PoA & HBP. Plus in the dvd extras for PoA, you can explore Honeydukes and see each section of it. This is why I'm okay with the owners being included in the set as we do see a bit of them in the film (much more than we ever saw of Florean Fortesque). Hogwarts: Sounds like a massive build, plus doing the chamber of secrets is a bit surprising to me. I'm really happy we'll be getting Colin Creevey and another Lockhart design. It'd be cool if it included the winged boar statue from CoS (maybe a grey version of the new pig piece). There's a rumour Justin Finch Fletchley is also in the set, which I really like as he's petrified victim (and he's in a few deleted scenes). Hope there's some cool stickers of the paintings around the staircases, like in the microscale Hogwarts. Advent Calender: Happy they're doing another AC, but Philosopher's Stone again? This sounds like a very confused set, like it seems like it has a lot of stuff set before Harry gets to Hogwarts which is well before Christmas. I'd much prefer a Burrow/Grimmauld Place AC.
  24. Some time in the future I'd love to see a complete remake of the Lego Harry Potter games, so that the updated figures are used as the models in the game. Plus they could include a lot more content. There's so many series I'd love to see Lego themes for which would also make great video games: The Chronicles of Narnia, His Dark Materials (aka The Northern Light/the Golden Compass), A series of Unfortunate events.
