Back in 1980 for ‘Sinterklaas’ I got the 7740 train as present. (For weeks had it seen running in the shopwindow of our local toy store). A few years later, around 1984, me and my friend put Technic tires around de wheels of the motor and made ourself sort of remote controlled cars. It ended with motor destroyed. (I think we also opened it) It was then that my mother wrote a letter to Lego, how she was disappointed that the part was so ‘easy’ broken. (I had not been exactly clear on how this all happened…) We didn’t hear anything so I bought a replacement motor and all ended well. After a while however we received a package and letter from Lego! They felt sorry and …. they send a new motor, for free! I remember how it was not in a Lego ‘set’ box but just cardboard box, without pictures or anything, but with the extra parts like the weight bricks. So suddenly I had two motors and could build two trains. But most of the times I just put the two motors under the 7740 loc. And that is how it now is displayed in my study. (With 7819 and 7815) Finally, the question: does it really run more powerfull with two motors? Or doesn’t it really make a difference?

I had a kind of the same issue with the turntable on the Unimog and the Arocs last year. I used some compressed air (can) on the turntable and that seemed to work.

Hi all, In have the Unimog 8110 for years on my shelve. Recently my kid noticed the pneumatic pump jammed. I have fixed that ( the pump had some dust issues) but I noticed now that when I put the batterybox on (in action) the crane-pneumatics works only one way (button to the right). When the switch on the batterybox is to the left (reverse so to speak) the pump works, but doesn’t seem to generate enough pressure, so the crane does not work then. Any clues at what is going on? This was never an issue.
