  1. LOL! Friends is not even canon to City dude. Not even Minions. Nowhere near there.
  2. Town and Great Vehicles are pretty much the only thing keeping me in City right now. However, if next years coast guard and cargo waves prove to be actually existant, City would be back in business. I'm still begging City for a public transport wave. It also seems like the automotive industry is a good attention grabber to kids, thus why we got numbers 60255 to 60258 this year. They did well with that tuning shop. Ikr! I also wish they would've added a limo and private jet with Mayor Freck, Mary Sinclair or the judge from LCA. Or an airport firetruck with Buster Lloyd and Fireman Bob from LCA. How about a cargo plane with those two? Add those to the other three and we have a good airport wave.
  3. You bring up very accurate points there. But in my honest opinion, they could've expanded the airport wave. Aircrafts are a good seller too. This years airport wave was pretty lame with only two airports (one being 4+) and an air race set. The 2016 Airport wave was way better. More planes, vehicles and only one airport. Like I said, i would've taken the chance to expand on that. Along with adding the helicopter for the Divers wave. 6 sets for police is enough to make enough money for this entire year.
  4. That's what I said one time. Now that they have evolved to two police waves a year, I'm officially withdrawing my funding from City sets. C'mon Lego! Surprise me with some different vehicles. Like you did with the street sweeper, race cars and ice cream truck for this year.
  5. Btw, I just got that truck from Bricklink.
  6. Why not just do one a year then, like they did the previous years? If they do this ish that they did just now, they might as well discontinue City and call it Lego Police instead. Not that I'd want them to. But if that happens......Lego will come up with something to benefit town planners who want affordable buildings for their town.
  7. So it's not happening? Bummer! But in all honesty, I don't really approve of there being two police waves in one year. That's oversaturation. Instead, I would've used 60271-60274 to expand on the airport wave, which was pretty lame this year. We are still missing the private jet with limo for a start. It would've also been nice to have an airport fire truck and a new cargo plane (which we haven't gotten in four years). Maybe even an airport shuttle service. Ugh....I don't get why Lego's City division didn't just save those extra 2020 police sets to use for next years police wave. Would've made more sense. On top of that, you'd assume that Lego would have more sympathy, especially considering the scandal surrounding the police right now. The last thing you'd want to release sould be a new police wave.
  8. Two police waves in one year. I'm not happy Lego! Not happy! @Klaus-Dieter You mean we could've seen a subtheme centered around the public transport system this year? But instead, we see another police wave. I'm officially withdrawing my funding for City sets.
  9. I appreciate that KotZ. Thank You. I try to use my brain sometimes. I guess I'm not entirely hopeless. I started MOCing more recently. So a lot of things that Lego does doesn't really bother me anymore. Though I would like to see how City would handle its bricks when it comes to a post office or grocery store. As far as minifigs are concerned, I don't even put those together when I buy vehicles. I make my own. That's just who I am. I think Lego HAS done it's best when it comes to race-free but culture based minifigures. For example, you can clearly tell that Duke DeTain is supposed to symbolize an African American stereotype because of the thick eye brows and peasy beady hairstyle. I could compare Freya McCloud to an emo redhead because....let's be honest. No one is born with scarlet red hair. Same with Chief Wheeler having ASD or Harl Hubbs being the stereotype of a handyman from Minnesota. I'll even harp back onto the Nijago characters and them being Asian stereotypes. That's just a few examples. Personally, I love it when Lego talks culture with their generic yellow figs. It gives them more character.
  10. Thank you for the feedback! I'll definately take that into consideration. Thank You!
  11. Lego isn't color blind. If that were so, we wouldn't have colorful sets!
  12. Outdoors - a spin off of City. This would be where all waves that take place outside the City will be put. That includes arctic, jungle, volcano, space, divers, sheriffs, miners and farm.
  13. I have to agree with you there. City was not only a timeless theme, but it wasn't a police state either. Police was on equal footing with every other job in Lego City. That was during the early days of the "HEY" in Lego City commercials which was from 2006 to 2009.
  14. In my honest opinion, I loved it better when Lego City didn't have named characters. There was Chase McCain, but he was actually good. Overall, when you have so many named characters in a theme that was originally generic, it doesn't feel generic anymore.
  15. Don't need. But I'd definitely buy for the heads and bodies. Btw, I like that avatar! It makes me wonder if City will ever do a hazard squad set for City.
  16. Arthur! That was a show that I grew up on. The newer episodes kinda suck. But the old school episodes were more interesting and hilarious. An Arthur theme could be used as an outlet to release houses and shops like the Read House, The Sugar Bowl or Lakewood Elementary.
  17. @xxix5 Here ya go buddy! This is where you can put those ideas you've got on the Lego City 2020 page.
  18. They're supposed to be coming this year. Probably in August. Those are numbers 60273 and 60274. If you go on Instagram and type in #legoleaks and scroll down until you see a drill being chased by a police car. Those are the special forces sets.
  19. Pepper from Lego Island
  20. @Klaus-Dieter So no mega set this year. That sucks!
  21. The green one reminds me of something I'd see for the City theme. Great job!
