Unpopular Opinions about LEGO
Driver Brandon Grumman replied to Lego David's topic in General LEGO Discussion
You don't have to care for a person to show appreciation for their work. Lego does Harry Potter because despite its final movie being over ages ago, it's still a popular franchise. Lego may just respect the franchise itself. Not the person who made it. -
The Tragedy of Turin Part 1

Cool MOC! -
A Helicopter Testing Factory would be another good one that I'm sure would sell like hot cakes. Think about how popular helicopters are in the City fandom of the Lego universe and put at least two or three of those in one set. Kids would have a field day with that one. It'll also show us some other helicopters other than the police, fire, medical and explorer helicopters that we see all the time. I got the idea for the City Adventures season 3 episode titled Makeover and Over.

Ok....what, where or who are you trying to get at? With all due respect, that's what a lot of AFOLs do - myself included. All the things that you just spoke against. I understand it can seem a bit unusual or weird. But take note that collectors of similar things such as cars, dolls or model railroads do the exact same thing. So what's wrong with doing it with Lego? If you want to buy sets and then eventually take them apart, go right ahead. But let the rest of us AFOLs do what we want with our sets.

I agree! Construction has seemed to have been pushed to the side as we only got two construction sets. Could've been it's own subtheme with two more construction related sets. With three or four more sets joining the life guard tower, harbor would return. Coast Guard revival would be in shut up and take my money territory. I'm going to go above the call of duty here. Public Transport and Cargo subthemes would work given the new train station is supposed to have a bus (I hope it's a bendy bus) and the passenger and cargo trains. My hope for the new cargo train is that the cargo train is owned by the Special Transport company that owns the 2018 and 2021 aircraft haulers.

The service stations from 2016 onwards actually had electric charging stations connect, as with the most recent service center (released through the 60292 Town Centre) the electric charging station is the only sign of propulsion services. An electric charging station even came with the 60291 Town House. However, I agree with the other examples you gave. I'm still waiting for at least a sign from City that the sanitation engineers have a place to report to. Given the signs and symbols on the most recent street sweeper that was released in 2020, I'm going to assume that they now report to the same place as the garbagemen, which is the recycling center. In some of the 2021 fire sets, there were signs of a power plant being in the city, but not a full blown power plant - which I kinda wish would happen. I'd also love to see a City scale library and a sports center.

That wasn't what I was thinking. I was thinking something like a set with two bucket trucks (one reparing a traffic light and one repairing a street lamp) But yeah!

Who said it had to be war related? I'm thinking futuristic looking. It's more for transporting railway men who have been injured on the job to the hospital. Mostly I places where road or air ambulances can't reach. Nothing to do with war.

I made several changes to the school and the school bus. Added some walls to the right side of the school building and a roof. For the school bus, I removed the wheelchair lift as it made the bus look weird. Don't get me wrong, I have great respect and support for the handicapped. I just feel that it wasn't executed properly there. There was barely any room for the students. I decided to add an extra seat there instead. I also changed the wheel arches and recolored the sign to yellow and bumpers to black to closely resembled an American styles school bus. I customized it with my favorite school bus model, the Chevrolet B-Series with a Blue Bird bus body, in mind. Those things had power to spare. My sigfig drives the bus in this set.

Whoa! Now that's a train! Looks like something that would be done as a promotional special though. Not really under the City theme, which is where trains are sold under now.

Man! Why won't Lego hire JANGBRICKS to help out with Lego train production? Trains would be more interesting with him at the decision booth. I'm waiting for a police train (I'm surprised we haven't seen one of those yet), a fire train (I'm also surprised there), some type of maintenance train for the construction subtheme, an auto transporter car, a fuel car, a farm train with cattle cars and a hospital train. A mail train would be good too.

Lego Ideas 90th Anniversary Fan Vote
Driver Brandon Grumman replied to Calanon's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Awe man! Town is only in 10th place! I guess it makes sense though given that Bionicle kinda stands out and the space, pirates and castle themes are obsessor targets within the Lego community. -
Ideas for new Lego themes! (Non-licensed)
Driver Brandon Grumman replied to The lego fan's topic in General LEGO Discussion
@Aanchir What is your standing on my idea for City 13+? -
Still a religious background. Either way, it would be hypocritical of Lego to refuse Mother Nature on religious grounds. Lego also had a Taj Mahal set.

Power subtheme anyone? Telephone Repair - Present day nod to this set Wire Transport - a transport truck with two rolls of wires on the trailer Street Lamp and Traffic Light Maintenance - Got the idea from the bucket trucks that I saw repairing the traffic lights today. Wind Turbine Transport - Last one we got was in was in 2009. Power Plant - The base set that includes the power plant building powered by solar pannels and a truck carrying a satelite

Wait a minute though? Santa would technically be a religious figure given his backstory.
