  1. Wow! Now this I can agree with.
  2. C'mon Lego! Send us pics of the stuff already! I wanna see the basket of goodies for summer 2022, especially the train station and grocery store.
  3. Yeah! The HP wands are what I use. Not really a fan of HP sets, but a lot of them (like the Hogwarts School and the Hogwarts Express) make great part packs for town builders like myself.
  4. Now that would be something I'd pay for. I know we could use the wands from Harry Potter for this one, but....what about a guiding stick for the blind minifigs?
  5. Yeah! In my area, most school buses are dog nosed. Especially the ones in the state of Alexandria, Arlington, Charles County and Prince George's County. Most flat nosed school buses are seen in Calvert County,, Fairfax County (like the one I posted) and Montgomery County. District of Columbia has special cutaway school buses. YES RIGHT!!!! I mean, it would make being taken to school a lot easier. Back in high school, I never took the school bus. I always took the transit bus as it was much more peaceful.
  6. Yeah! She's the one who told me that the new train station is going to have a bus, which once again, I hope it's an accordion. My issue is that trains are expensive now. I guess because you now have a choice between PF and the app.
  7. But my insider said that the school bus was supposed to be an American style.
  8. My mods to the school set. That set needed major mods. Call me a Lego Karen. But as a bus driver, I can personally say that the school bus included is dangerous and unrealistic. Loading and unloading a handicapped student behind the bus is a hazard for a start. Lego has done better when executing the handicapped aspect of Lego City's bus system. ahem 60154 ahem. When they announced that the set would have a school bus, I was kinda hoping for something like this. This is an IC RE school bus with a wheel chair lift. Ok, it would've costed more money. But if it was detailed, it would've been worth it. Just like the new hospital.
  9. To hear this from an actual firefighter makes it more interesting.
  10. Yeah! And fanfiction too. That also makes money depending on how you do it.
  11. Except here in DMV, where almost every police vehicle is elite police blue. Older Prince George's County police cars however were white and blue like the old Lego City police vehicles from 2008-2017. DC Police Cars are white too.
  12. Yeah! I know the police in LA still use black and white as their police car color scheme.
  13. I agree! Don't forget that most of the police vehicles would be black if Lego stuck to realism.
  14. That's not true. I've seen plenty of different types of construction vehicles with the similar color schemes as the mobile crane and cement mixer. Other construction related machines do exist in similar paint schemes even if rare.. So yeah! It works. Paint the wheels yellow and it still works. Just because you disagree with the idea, doesn't mean Lego wouldn't do it.
  15. I think I better leave said topic along. Or else I may find myself involved in a convo that less about Lego fan stuff (which is what people come to this forum for) and more about who we should cancel.
  16. How about the 41682 Heartlake City School set? Perfect for builders who want a little more detail that the 60329 School Day couldn't offer. There is also 41704 Main Street which is also a pretty good one.
  17. I don't think Lego should get rid of Harry Potter just because of who is behind it. That's just idiotic. I say love the franchise. Dislike the person behind it.
  18. Amazing! I love what you did with the vault there.
  19. I think it works perfectly for any construction vehicle. Sorta stands out!
  20. I love the new blue and yellow color scheme for construction vehicles. They should keep that up if they bring back the construction subtheme.
  21. @MAB I agree with everything you said. Personally, I blame it on the fact that we are living in the age of cancel culture and its huge influence on society along with the members of Generation Z that are promoting it. Thanks to cancel culture, a lot of things that bring back memories have been destroyed in our world all because of the people who were behind them.
  22. Those sound great! I remember having a truck stop set from the City Center theme that was done during thr late 90s to early 2000s.
  23. If it were up to me, all vital civilian services (i.e. doctors and paramedics, construction workers, public transit workers (including passenger train drivers and station managers), postal/cargo workers (including cargo train and mail train drivers), food service workers, towers, sanitation engineers, etc) would get their own dedicated subthemes alongside police and fire. As Lego stated about subthemes for City, it opens opportunities for broad ranges of sets - which to be honest, City has done an exceptionally decent job of lately. While great vehicles and town would be merged to support less important lines of work such as taxi drivers or beach patrols. Out of the city subthemes such as ocean exploration, Stuntz (which judging from the box art, it seems to take place in a deserted area than in the city), wildlife rescue, space and farm, which is in the same universe as City, would get special treatment under a spin-off theme called Beyond the City Limits. I actually did a logo of how I'd do it. The only difference is that I'd do a wooded background or a desert landscape instead of the blue background.
