LEGO City 2020 - Rumors, Speculation, and Discussion
Driver Brandon Grumman replied to Digger of Bricks's topic in LEGO Town
@toopizza13 All sets haven't been revealed yet. So there may be a camper. All police sets haven't been revealed yet either. One I want to see for classic police is a "Convience Store Heist" set similar to the burger bar from the fire wave. -

Creator should pass the house and building production to City. -
Unpopular Opinions about LEGO
Driver Brandon Grumman replied to Lego David's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Classic police should be the only police subtheme for City. Don't axe the explorers themes. But take them away from City because having them there kinda defeats the purpose. That should be it's on theme; LEGO Explorers. The fire wave for this year is the best one we've got in 6 years. I actually think the squeezing water cannon system is pretty cool. Sky Police made no sense. We need more town-based subthemes for City. We've hardly had any in ages. -
I think that would be something new. It sounds like something that would start an annual "park" subtheme trend.
-
@CMFanatic Which is a disgrace. They are just as heroic and valorous as police and firefighters. People on this forum can make all the excuses they want to. There is no legit excuse of why paramedics can't get a subtheme to themselves.

Themes LEGO should discontinue

Ok! I guess in two years, Lego City will be renamed Lego Police. Since that's the "only thing that "sells" in the City theme. -
Themes LEGO should discontinue
Driver Brandon Grumman replied to Lego David's topic in General LEGO Discussion
@MAB Yeah! I'm saying we don't need them. Just release like one, two or three. But we don't need an entire subtheme every year. Just saying. -
City caters to all ages! They need to meet the needs of older fans more. City has too much police. It seems like every year, the only sets I see are police, explorers and great vehicles.

Themes LEGO should discontinue

1. How is seeing police EVERY YEAR a VARIETY???? 2. They could do what they are doing with the fire sets that are being released. Make police sets every year, but don't have them under a fixed theme. Just "extension" sets to the classic police subtheme. Everyone says that police is the best seller. But that's not exactly accurate. So if you ask me......just let police have a break for one year. 3. I certainly wouldn't call other subthemes less popular. Those fire sets have a pretty large crowd of fans (including myself ). If explorers aren't that popular, how come they get a new explorers theme every summer? Those trains are great sellers too. Though they should lower the price a little. I really hate brick tax. Coast Guard is a great seller too. Fight me if you want to (I don't mean that literally), but I'm standing by my statement. We don't need a police theme every single year. People say its not really our business if City doesn't meet our need when it actually is our business. City is catering to all ages now. -
Themes LEGO should discontinue
Driver Brandon Grumman replied to Lego David's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Oh yeah and I may face some backlash from Lego liberals for this (Yes I am a Lego conservative), but I'm gonna say it anyway. In terms of themes Lego should discontinue......pretty much all City Police themes except classic police should be axed. -
@CMFanatic I have asked other people not to do that and now I'm asking you. Please do not point out what has already been released. That really annoys me.

Back to ideas about City sets. Here are my ideas for a paramedic theme. 60300 Ambulance Helicopter - includes chopper, two paramedics and injured skier. 60301 Medicine Transport - Includes prop plane and two medics. 60302 Hospital - Includes hospital building w/garage, ambulance, three doctors, one medic and a civilian. 60303 Injured Motorists Rescue - includes two mini ambulances, two cars, two civilians and two medics. 60304 Injured Biker Rescue (4+) - includes 4+ style ambulance, biker, bike and paramedic.

@Digger of Bricks Though I do have to say that American Indians is a bit of a stretch. City is a generic theme and generic themes are now yellow people. If they do Indians, they'll have to color their faces another color and that would NEVER do.
-
@Digger of Bricks Yeah....that is a big thing to ask for from the City theme.
-
@jonwil Then that would be something new and unheard of. I have heard of reporters going out to report things happening in the water. But I think they have helicopters for that.
-
@TeriXeri My apologies! I misread that. The only time we'd get another news van would be with a news station. Do you think that a news boat could be possible?
-
@TeriXeri A news subtheme not happening is NOT realistic because it could happen. You never know.
-
Hey! I like to be optimistic. Lego may actually be watching as we type. I have a feeling that they are watching us considering that we're going to see an automotive subtheme in 2020.
-
I also have my ideas for a public Transit subtheme. 60295 Bus Terminal - estimate of $69.99 (includes terminal building with bus stop, seating area and ticket machines, two passengers including an adult and a child, and a mini city bus with a disgruntled Male driver. 60296 Stop Requested - estimate of $49.99 (basically a re-release of set 60154) 60297 Airport Shuttle Service - estimate of $12.99 (includes shuttle bus with a cheerful female driver and an elderly couple. The old man is in a wheelchair) 60298 Downtown Bus Ride - estimate of $39.99 (includes articulated bus with a long bus bay, disgruntled female bus driver and 7 passengers including a family of three, a mom with a baby stroller, a businessman in a black outfit and a random young woman with a cell phone) 60299 Commuter Train - estimate of $89.99 (includes non-motorized three car electric multiple unit based on the Bombardier M7A, four civilians, one engineer, one station and oval track layout) 60300 Cable Car - estimate of $79.99 (includes non motorized cable car, two civilians, one driver and track)

@ShadowWolfHount No! TV 6+ should be THE news company in Lego City just like they have Octan for the oil company and City Pizza for the pizza joints.
-
@ShadowWolfHount Oh c'mon dude! I have brought up other things on this thread. But as for the news subtheme, I think the vehicles and the station itself should be blue, grey and white like the TV 6+ helicopter from the 60097 City Square. You'll of course have to have a news lady similar to the one from 60233 and that camera man. I think the reporter should be a woman. It would give women a bigger role in City sets.
-
@TeriXeri But as a person who drives a bus, I will continue to fight for a bus transportation subtheme. A subtheme that will bring buses from under the bondage of mega sets.
-
Ok! Can we revert this thread back to ideas for City sets please? You know? What people came to this thread to see.
-
@ShadowWolfHount I think that would be kinda cool.
