@TeriXeriOh man! I forgot about the ski resort. That looks like its gonna be good. But yeah, mega sets do focus too much on vehicles. They need to focus more on the buildings. Another mega set idea is a Neighborhood mega set. That'll put to rest City Beautiful's scary YouTube theory about there being nowhere to live in Lego City. I have two ideas for 2020 polybags: one is a horse cop. But based on what we see today, I would also like to see a segway cop. You know. Like the ones we see in malls or at subway stations.

@CMFanatic I was also thinking of a TV 6+ News Chopper set where its reporting either a police chase or car accident. Then I also thought of a TV 6+ mobile radar station similar to the mobile police units. So here is my idea for set listing. 60291 TV 6+ News Center - estimate of $69.99 60292 TV 6+ Aerial Traffic Report Unit - estimate of $39.99 60393 TV 6+ Mobile Weather Command Center - estimate of $49.99

@TeriXeri I think mega sets should be every year. This year was the Doughnut Shop Opening. 2018 was the capital. 2020 should be a Shopping Center like place with a grocery store, clothing store and post office. Make them colorful too like the last two mega sets were.

@St8 You mean it wasn't even available in its home country of Denmark? Thats a shame. Lego Island was what put Lego Media on the darn map.

Yup. Same here.

@CMFanatic What are your thoughts on a news subtheme? I mean if not an entire news subtheme, a news station at least.
-
Themes LEGO should discontinue

Well it has been 4 years so..... Eh give it some time. Truthfully speaking, despite the ages it says on the box, those space sets seem to be targeted towards an older audience. Especially the space research center and the rocket assembly. That's probably why. Space actually didn't as horrible as Sky Police though. You wanna see one of the most pathetic money getting tactics from Lego? Look at the last two police waves (Mountain and Sky). Fire set sales went through the roof this year I heard. Good job on the new house and siren systems for them btw, Lego. -

@jonwil Space sets don't seem to be selling like they used to though. The people who mostly buy them are adults. Speaking of the adult side of the fanbase, expect a post on that. -

@TeriXeri I have that one too. Personally, I liked the one from 2012 better because of its simpler, but detailed look. But I needed a hospital on my island and the 2012 hospitals on eBay were WAY out of my budget so I got stuck getting the 2018. I've learned to tolerate it though. -

Guys I got the 60233 Doughnut Shop Opening. That set is awesome! -
Though I think in 2021, they should be rid of subthemes. Nationalize the sets under one single force. I refuse to let go of that ideology.

@TeriXeri My hope is that for 2020, they go back to using four stud wide cruisers for police. The six stud wide cruisers didn't seem right to me. -

@Klaus-Dieter I want to see a grocery store! Not a mobile grocery store or one of those mini buildings you see in the mega sets. I mean a full blown, standalone, stationary supermarket by City. -
@ShadowWolfHount It seems like City is doing everything out of the city right now. Might as well call it Lego Beyond the City now. They barely do things based in the city. Except for fire and classic police along with some of the great vehicles. The town sets are now all I look forward to. Hopefully in 2020 (which actually seems promising for City) that will change.
