Which Themes Deserve a Reboot?
Driver Brandon Grumman replied to Lancethecat's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Noooooo! I'm speaking of the race subtheme that was part of town back in the 90s. https://lego.fandom.com/wiki/Race- 438 replies

Themes LEGO should discontinue
Driver Brandon Grumman replied to Lego David's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Coast Guard has nothing to do with the police, except being a rescue based subtheme. Otherwise, the coast guard team in City seems to be exclusive to only emergency situations regarding an injured beach goer or stranded sailor. And the regular police sets that come out every three years were the only police sets under City at that time. What are you talking about? And you can't count Space Police because that was it's own theme. I think this conversation is over. Goodnight! -
Which Themes Deserve a Reboot?
Driver Brandon Grumman replied to Lancethecat's topic in General LEGO Discussion
You know theme what I want to see revived? Outback? That one will likely be revived under City though since it was originally a subsidiary of City back in the early 90s. Sports ? is another one I'd like to see rebooted. But that one is also likely to be revived under City - which I can tolerate as it would make sense. I would also request Paradisa ?and Race ?, but Friends has practically taken over as the Paradisa successor and as for Race....I think that's what City is bringing back in 2020.- 438 replies

Ideas for new Lego themes! (Non-licensed)

Hmmm..... How about Great Buildings? It could be like Great Vehicles only with buildings. -

I'm talking specifically about subthemes under City. Fyi. What I'm saying is that City would still be up top even though they don't have special police themes under it. Back in 2008, it was still one of the top 5. So yeah! -

@Lego David I wouldn't argue. They are bent on defending the state of City sets. They are basically part of that "Defend Special Police and Explorers" group. That's the group that claim that these things are not pointless or irrelevant and that they sell, but fail to provide evidence that it sells. -

@Ronan54 One problem! That's literally from almost a decade ago! Things have likely changed drastically since. Lego is getting a bigger and bigger adult audience day by day. -

LEGO City 2020 - Rumors, Speculation, and Discussion
Driver Brandon Grumman replied to Digger of Bricks's topic in LEGO Town
@toopizza13 You mean 2016's passenger terminal? That one was great. I loved its look. They should do something similar with the cargo terminal. How about a limo and a taxi instead of a car? -
@Digger of Bricks Eh.....knowing City, they'll probably make it present day related. But along with that, I also have an idea for a flagship set. Here is. 60301 Shopping District - This would basically establish the some of the shops and restaurants in Lego City. Buildings included; a pizzeria front, small grocery store front, two story department store front and post office front. Vehicles included; pizza car, food transporter, limo and postal van. Minifigures included: pizza chef, grocery store owner, chauffeur, postal worker, pizza deliverer (nod to Pepper from Lego Island anyone?), truck driver and various civilians.

Unpopular Opinions about LEGO
Driver Brandon Grumman replied to Lego David's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Tbh, that's not really an unpopular opinion. Go on YouTube, Facebook, MeWe and any other forms of social media and you'll find out that others agree with that. The only people I've met who either get triggered by that argument are here on Eurobricks. -

@Lego David ..or put them together for that matter. Saw the space sets and though the summer sets say 7+, I see more targeting towards adults. Fire sets, I can really let slide as we usually only see those every three years. I mean for Pete's sake. The police story just isn't interesting anymore. Its the same thing every year; cops car chases, crooks breaking in, stealing all the gold. We see that all the time. It doesn't really matter the environment the police are in, you practically see the same thing you see in the city police sets that come out every three years (which are the ONLY police sets I like). Police no longer forwards the plot, instead causing it to stop. Fan service is what its become. -
Subtheme Idea: Mail 60272 Scooter Delivery 4+ - includes scooter, 1 postal worker minifig, mail box and civilian. 60273 Air Mail - includes mail plane, control tower and 2 minifigs. 60274 Mail Train - includes two car mail train, oval track layout, forklift and three minifigs. 60275 Post Office - includes post office building, two postal workers, one civilian and mail van. 60276 Post By Sea - includes large ship with three minifigs

LEGO City 2020 - Rumors, Speculation, and Discussion
Driver Brandon Grumman replied to Digger of Bricks's topic in LEGO Town
They should bring the cargo and airport subthemes back for summer 2020. Those were great sellers and actually had something to do with city life unlike those explorers and special police subthemes. -

@KotZ No. I want CITYfied buildings like the building options they give you in the first My City game. -
Themes LEGO should discontinue
Driver Brandon Grumman replied to Lego David's topic in General LEGO Discussion
@KotZ Well until I see certain aspects of City life get more attention (I mean attention as in their own subthemes), I will rant as I see fit. The terms of use says that if you can't handle certain things, leave! This is a forum for grown adults. -

Driver Brandon Grumman replied to Lego David's topic in General LEGO Discussion
For your information, smarty pants - I have considered it and its nothing more than a damn money making scheme....and the higher ups at Lego won't even know who I am. It's not like they are going to figure me out. Now listen twat, if you can't respect my opinions, then get the hell outta here because I ain't going anywhere. The current team is crooked. Instead of being willing to meet our needs, they just use Ole Kirk Christensen's prize Lego theme as an outlet to create more damn emergency and explorers sets. No other legit city situations. I tried to make suggestions on new subthemes, but you folks only said that they don't have a chance. So I lost hope and resorted to ranting. Working out well? Yeah! That's why the last two police themes hardly sold. Wake up and see the big picture. Lego City is nothing more than a damn police state. If it were up to me, every business in the city would get loads of attention. Other themes are good. City is the only one that sucks now. 2007 to 2009 were what I consider City's best years. You had everything. Now all you see is police, great vehicles and explorers. You may see fire sets and some occasional side sets. But most are now just police and explorers. GET EDUCATED -

@PickleManDan Same here. I love me some stickers. Heck! There are times when I even order stickers off of Ebay and use them on MOCs. -

LEGO City 2020 - Rumors, Speculation, and Discussion

@toopizza13 I could use me an off roader. My town is based in a country side like area so it has a lot of greenery. -
Themes LEGO should discontinue
Driver Brandon Grumman replied to Lego David's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Those too! I want those separated from the City theme. Not discontinued though. The explorers subthemes and the overwhelming amount of police subthemes defeat the purpose of City - which is to build a bustling town. I can't build my town properly with all the police sets and explorers themes in the way. -

@toopizza13 The convience store could be based off of something like 7Eleven or Sheetz or something and it could be the same size as the donut shop. Also the robber could have a gun.
