A very great improvement. Best mod I have ever seen of a Lego City set.

I'm both. Why? Becsuse as far as buying official sets go, when I buy something, I like to build what's on that box and I make modifications as I see fit. I don't buy sets for parts. That's just a waste of time and money in my opinion. If I want particular parts or builds from a certain set, I try to find them on eBay. MOCs? If I need parts for a MOC, I head on to either the replacement parts page on the official site, use the Pick A Brick, go pick up some brick tubs from random stores or I go to Bricklink. That's what I do when I make a MOC. Unfortunately because of a brick shortage in my house (My wife and I donated a substantial amount to charity), we haven't MOCed any buildings.

Whoa! Now THAT'S a MOC. You should put it on Lego Ideas and maybe it might get so many votes that it becomes the next modular.

Yeah! I wish I would've gotten it when I had the chance. Now it's rare and expensive ASF. To be quite honest, if it were up to me, all major civilian services in the city (i.e. emergency, transport, food, construction and public works, etc) would have a City subtheme and they would get guaranteed rotation based on how well they sell whether its 3 year, 4 year, 5 year or 6 year. Everything else would go under Town.

I have been having problems with those myself. That's why I had to convert my trains to push along like the Disney train and Hogwarts Express. My kids love it.

Ok! Of all the supercars out there, the Lexus LFA is underrated. I'm glad there is someone else other than me who appreciates this car.

I have no choice but to agree on what some of the buildings look like. I do mods on buildings too. I'm waiting for the bank piece from the monster truck heist to come in the mail and I plan on adding a roof. I had do the same with the tuning shop by adding more windows on the other side, the service station by putting a window behind the area where the attendant stands and a roof, and with the race cars by removing that big air vent on the red racing car. I also turned one of the gas pumps around on the service station so that two cars could fit on either side. Then I added more washing equipment. Oh no no no! I'm thinking perhaps a minor refresh. No, a lot of things will stay the same. Police, Fire, Coast Guard and the many different types of scientists will be there because they are what help City thrive. I meant refresh as in other lines of work will also get a chance to have a subtheme and not just be put off on the side as a great vehicle or a single town set. Jobs like postal workers (60250), farmers (60223), doctors (60204), builders (60219), sailors (60119), transit workers (60154) and City Pizza employees if you could believe it (60150)...that's just to name a few. Some of which have been dead since 2010. I don't think it's too much to ask for those back. I'm with you on that one. It would be a full blown donut shop from me. Although, I'd also include a mobile donut van influenced by the 60150 Pizza Van to go with that one. Another example is Capital City. Instead of the crane with an undone museum piece, I would've actually added a decent sized capital building similar to the green building in this picture along with a limo. Now don't get me wrong. I'm gonna take advantage of builds like that crane and museum. But tbh, it seems like Lego stuck it in there to meet a certain piece count quota. It just didn't fit. For that one, you'll have to look beyond the name "Capital City" if you really want to enjoy it.

@Vindicare I'd do that with the Doughnut shop too. Same with the capital set. With me, there would be an actual capital included.

Mini Review on 60243 Police Helicopter Chase Just picked it up and built it. This set gets a 100% from me. The magnet actually works perfectly and I can remove it whenever I don't need it. The magnet piece is what actually stands out from my POV. I personally hope that this would be the start of something new for City sets. I see something like that also on a Harbor or a construction site. I'm also glad that they didn't use those turning front wheel things for the helicopter as it'll be easier to keep still if you want to display it. I love how they included Sergeant Grizzled and Snake in this one. I do wish they would've included Rooky in this set too as she was also part of the Sky Police in the LCA episode of the same name. But I'll just see if I can find her on Bricklink or Lego Shop. Overall, I'm not even fussed on the old design anymore. This actually feels like an improvement to the 2017 helicopter. The extra vehicles were good too. But I think I'll be using those as background vehicles. Not really up front. So that's my mini review on that set.

I've heard of those guys! I definately agree considering that the were one of the groups that said that the 2019 police wave was based in the sky - to which I didn't believe due to it sounding far fetched. That is.....until I saw the pictures.

@Lego David I would agree. But I haven't seen the sets yet. So I shant judge. The sets may be based off of Mario Kart. Good pieces for a MOC go-kart track, aye?

....and I'm not changing the theme to my standards like that other guy said. I'm also tired of that accusation being thrown at me. People can deny it all they want. Go to other places outside of Eurobricks and people agree with me that City needs a redo for the 2020 decade. The only place that doesnt think so is people on Eurobricks.
