So far it is 10 baseplates wide by 4 deep, though I think we'll need to add more water baseplates to fit more ships! The little squares are 4x4 studs, and the big squares are 32x baseplates

CoWLUG and DENLUG members are in the planning stages for a big pirate display we'll show in November. Here is the current status of the plan:

Thanks! Yes, in order to not have splotchy old gray mixed in with newer light bley, I used decals to make the classic grey masonry panels. Brick Monarch Shop sells various colors of them, in this case dark bley rocks for application on light bley panels. Definitely much cheaper (and better looking?) than sourcing the older panels. The yellow tudor panels (as you can see from the wear!) have been around the block for decades, though :)

Brethren of the Brick Seas (BoBS) Intro Thread, Era II
evancelt replied to Bregir's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
I had fun making the map of Panarium. To keep it in world I staged a survey of the island by land and sea. Still lots of landmarks to name there - I think players can just make it up and GMs will tell you if you overstepped -
"Sir Reginald's Return" A quick castle build that I'll install at the Colorado Mills LEGO store in May. Wanted to play around with a brick-built arch and incorporating classic printed panels.

You could buy individual parts to make these from BrickLink. They are composed of pieces of other official LEGO minifigs

Welcome @ferreirm! Looking forward to seeing what you come up with!

Thanks! I love these mouse heads from Crazy Bricks - good dimensions and quality. When I saw those round pieces in dark orange, dark tan, tan show up on online PAB, I knew it was mushroom forest time :) Planning to do a little series of vignettes for the Denver Comic-Con (FaxExpo) with Moonmanbricks -
Broadpaw and Treadfast didn't want to cross the fungi forest, but the alternative was backtracking nearly forty miles. Their kidnapped friends couldn't wait - they would have to push on after the weasels. ----------------------------- When I saw those round pieces in dark orange, dark tan, tan show up on online PAB, I knew it was mushroom forest time Planning to do a little series of vignettes for this summer's Denver Comic-Con (FaxExpo) with Moonmanbricks

Looking good, @Amedeo!

After long last I've posted up the current "final" version of this moc here: I do plan to keep it around to take to train shows, so I'm sure I'll keep modifying and improving it over time Original vision: Final product:

This is a self-contained train loop I created this past winter on MILs plates to take to various train shows around Colorado. It features a motorized dog playing fetch, LED lighting, and a working 9v proto-train. There are some miners excavating trans-pink ore. If you are local to Colorado, you can check it out at the Boulder Bricks & Minifigs store for the next few months. Thanks to Matt Hudson for the photography!

The Duke of Arenberg takes his new bride on a sightseeing tour of the countryside. What a novel mode of transportation!

Thanks @NOD! Here is a video of the moving waterfall
-
Here are some of those dynamic elements (video during setup so the train isn't running yet)
-
Thanks! Some of the fun moving / dynamic elements in the display are: - motorized waterfall - flickering campfire in native american village - lights on most of the town buildings - eagle that soars in a circle around rightmost mountain - train circles the town on 9v track We hope to capture that dynamicity in an upcoming video

Some confederate soldiers. I put them on a yellow background so they didn't look too good - the title is a nod to them rising in insurrection against the US and being on the wrong side of history. The torsos are largely taken from official figures with some of the print partially removed.

A collaborative Romans vs. Barbarians build with @M4cho Gr4nde. Pictured here as displayed at the Spring 2023 Rocky Mountain Toy Train Show I made the left half :) Obviously Vikings weren't around at the same time as Romans, so we made them Gauls Some additional photos:
