    I actually haven’t seen many people complain about not getting their favorites but rather that the variety was weak this time around. The first series had a little bit of everything but this time around 8 of the figs were basically “Mickey & Friends” Personally, my comment about it being a lazy series is based on 3 identical minifigures with different colored shorts/hats, that’s just lazy to me. “Being complete” is a cop out since that wasn’t the case in series 1 and still don’t have Goofy and Pluto to complete the basic Mickey gang. Had they bumped it to 22 figures for this series then I wouldn’t feel as strongly about that but when you only are working with 18 I think they can be more creative than that. New molds and being lazy or not don’t necessarily go hand in hand so I think new molds can be present and the series still be lazy. FYI I will still be buying the whole set and have numb fingers so they’re still getting my money hahaha

    Unless they make him as a ghost/haunted mansion butler theme it seems to take the haunted mansion idea off the table since traditional goofy wouldn’t quite fit into that theme. Same goes for a pirates of the Caribbean ride set. i know there are some hoping for another castle which goofy would fit the theme but personally for me that would be a disappointment. I’m starting to lean towards a Main Street set or train set..would be a “universal” theme and Goofy would easily fit right in. Creating some Mickey balloons would be a sweet move for LEGO to make too for a Main Street set.

    Lazy is the perfect word for this series which is a shame. If they were going to go this route of repeating Mickey and Minnie and then identical figures in the ducklings then they could have at least bumped it up to 22 and threw in classics There are some great choices for this series but I still think series 1 blows this one away

    Decent lineup..not amazing but not terrible big let down is the repeat of Mickey and Minnie though I know it will be nice for some who didn’t want to purchase the ideas set. I just think it’s kind of lazy on LEGO’s part. And including Huey, Dewey and Louie in the same set is kind of overkill especially since WE STILL HAVENT GOTTEN GOOFY!! Plus I think it is again lazy on LEGOs part since it’s identical minifigures except for color and random accessories loving the NBC pair and herc/hades and Jafar...chip and dale are also a cool pair to have to go along with the castle set and ones that many forgot about when predicting hopefully we won’t have to wait as long for series 3...anyone want to start predicting that set hahahaha

    I think Hercules is almost a guarantee with Hades. I don’t think Hades is a strong enough villian to be a stand-alone and not have a partner. Maleficent was a much more popular villian to be by herself. My longshot prediction is that we get a 22 minifigure series with 2-3 Mickey variations (every other Mickey line this year has had at least 2-3 variations, Disney may be throwing its power around to get this with series 2 as well) I did see someone say it was stated to only be 18, but I never knew it that was ever confirmed? A few of my somewhat realistic wishes for this series are: sorcerer mickey, cruella, jafar & jasmine, classic bo peep, Pinocchio & Jiminy Cricket, Quasimodo & Esmerelda, queen of hearts, Pooh and Christopher Robin, Merida, Robin Hood, Mowgli & Baloo and bipedal Pluto (it would go perfect with the D2C castle and based on the bipedal Cheshire Cat from series 1 I don’t think it’s a stretch) to name a few Guarantees/Likely guarantees: Hades, herc, goofy, Mickey & Minnie If there are a few of those sprinkled in I’ll be satisfied. Curious to see if they load this series with CMF princesses or hold their ground with only offering them as minidolls in sets Yeah, when I look back at series 1 they really were lacking accessories. I remember being disappointed back then but didn’t realize just how few there were

    I don’t think it’s been confirmed anywhere that it’s only 18. It’s just what a lot of people believe it to be based on series 1 being 18. I don’t think there necessarily needs to be another toy story character especially since series 1 had a pair of toy story characters.

    Yeah, I guess it’s a stretch. Starting to think there’s going to be an exception made since I can’t see any other possible uses for the hat That is a really great point I would be disappointed if they throw in Woody in series 2. Classic Bo Peep would be a cool piece too.

    Yeah I’m still holding out some hope after seeing some more leaked pics a few minutes ago. the groove on the top of the steamboat hat is all but identical to the top of Goofy’s hat... could it be that steamboat hat is actually a 2 part mold with the grey/silver top part being 1 part and the white base being the second part. Goofys hat could take a 2 part approach for the hat as well. The silver portion of the new steamboat mold could be made green and the white piece could be replaced with a green cup like piece (repurposed)?? i just think the top of that hat is way too similar to the shape of the top of Goofy’s

    Just saw a new LEGO ad detailing the set and minifigs more than the original ad as well as some new pics and while the ad looks like the top of the hat is identical to Goofy’s, the new pics make it seem as though it couldn’t pass as Goofy’s

    That would make sense if they’re going with another castle, a train or Main Street but not the haunted mansion (these are just some of the ideas I’ve seen around the D2C) The reason I could see Pluto being bipedal is because of how they went with a bipedal Cheshire Cat in the first set who is thought of even less as being bipedal

    Good point but I just don’t see them being that concerned with marketability of series 2 that they’re pulling out all types of Donalds. 3C & angry face are 2 I could potentially see down the line, I just can’t see it happening right away in series 2 I just feel like it’s going too far down a rabbit hole to see another version of Donald regardless of his popularity in some areas. There are far too many characters available for them to use that are popular worldwide before they start pulling out every possible variation of one character I’d actually be more surprised to see another Donald than having more than 1 mickey in this series due to every other product line this past year including at least 2-3 versions I also think the lineup will follow the groupings laid out in series 1 which was mentioned way back towards the beginning of this thread. Mickey & friends (4) Series 1 - Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Daisy Series 2 - Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Pluto (least confident of but the idea of using Goofy’s head has me leaning towards it)

    Oooooooh yes! That would definitely work. I agree about Donald, I’d actually be veryyyy shocked if Donald makes another appearance.

    Lol thanks i guess it was a solid first post on here. I was expecting it to get shot down quick since I still am not too familiar with the different new mold rules etc. My son thought it was a great idea and was convinced so I figured I’d post it

    I actually like the 2 part mold idea...the more I look at Goofys hat I could see the steamboat being the center/top piece and there being a cup like piece for the bottom such as the style below

    I think that Minnie version is likely but I’d be disappointed if they choose that mickey. Mickey and Minnie didn’t match in the first series so I’d be surprised if they made them match this time around especially since the Mickey would be identical but the Minnie would match series 1 mickey which still leaves some hope for a Sorcerer Mickey version in series 2 (lol the only character I’m wishing for) also, I’m not sure where a red hat would come in for Mickey. I can’t think of any animations which would have that style of hat in red besides the band concert Mickey but that would be a stretch

    Not well versed in the new molding/Ideas rules but if it is a new mold for the hat and not a repurposed piece does the hat need to be used for a Mickey in the CMF series? I could easily see it being green and used as Goofy’s hat (one character that everyone seems to agree will be included in the 2nd series). I know his hat tends to have a little more shape to it but plenty of toys/plush have a straight shaped green hat very similar to the steamboat hat.
