Agreed on the buildable character set, plus I just can’t forgive what they did to poor Meeko🥲 reminds me of one of the standard animal build sets they put out villains set does seem slightly high but not too out there when you factor in the “exclusive” minifigs and overall display quality/style. Regardless, you’re right, it’s slightly overpriced they may have left out Ursula and Hook to help promote buying the new sets based on the remakes?? We’ve seen Ursula already in the clamshell set. Plus highly likely we’re getting the Peter Pan set that’s been rumored for quite some time. My guess is it (unfortunately for me) is going to be based on the remake and include Hook. Still wish we’d have a classic Smee minifig That’s the only reason I can think of as to why those 2 were left out, upcoming remakes. Still doesn’t account for the Queen of Hearts, though a Alice set with minifigs would be awesome

Yeah I remember quite a few “confirming” and don’t doubt their credibility, but hadn’t really heard anything since (and would have thought she’d be confirmed with the others that just were called out in the recent leak). I agree though, castle makes the most sense. Belle is arguably one of the top 3 princesses most associate with Disney so would be odd not to have her in it. Rapunzel and Flynn make sense, however I’m still worried that the remaining ~4 slots get filled with Mickey and friends…can’t imagine a $400 castle comes out with no Mickey…

Also, with the inclusion of beauty and the beast via Gaston. Belle and the beast HAVE to be coming this year somewhere, would guess the castle but no way we only get Gaston, right? Right?!

Honestly, getting all the buildable sidekicks as one set and that villains set as a single set is a steal IMO. The villains set will not be for everyone but it’s a great display piece and will be an instant buy for me. The buildable figures I’m still unsure about, nothing there really pulling me in. All look good, but Meeko has me dying🤣🤣 I was hoping for something more along the lines of that Simba buildable figure that leaked with the survey

Exactly, which is why the adult targeted large “display” set would have been a much bigger hit with the animated as its source material, since that’s what adults (and at this point, everyone) has grown up on. the smaller kids sets make perfect sense to be the remake

I think you’re agreeing with what’s being said more than you realize. There’s no doubt kids are more exposed and growing up on these remakes, which is why everyone is confused why they’d make an adult oriented set based on the remake. Makes much more sense for the smaller playsets etc. to be based on the remakes for kids, but to then turn around and make a large adult targeted set (who grew up on the original animated version) based off the remake makes no sense whatsoever. I don’t believe anyone really cares that they’re basing sets off the remakes, it’s the sets they’re choosing that has people confused/disappointed. Choosing the remake over the original as the first adult targeted Disney movie set with minifigs will likely be a poor decision on LEGO’s part (though I’m sure Disney was the one to make the call)

Same, actually was planning on this forcing me to buy the ice castle to display aside of it. Disney recently did a “castle” product line not long ago and thought LEGO was about to do the same thing. This will likely be a hard pass for me unless I come across it with a hefty discount on it. Odd to me that they went more towards adult collectors with this set who grew up with the animated original yet went the live action minifig route. Aside from that, it really isn’t that “display shelf” worthy (obviously that’s just my opinion).

Ehh not super thrilled with the set. As mentioned by others, seems all over the place. HOWEVER, getting minifigs in the set seems to give a great deal of hope moving forward with Disney sets IMO. Have to admit, reallllly wanted them to be the animated characters, specifically for King Triton but can’t have it all I guess. Also, kills me that poor Sebastian is just a basic crab piece lol

Ahh okay gotcha, hadn’t seen a description so assumed it would be in line with the new Ariel set coming out, which I believe is said to be larger Curious to see a mini version, somewhat odd they chose that castle (palace) to go with. Maybe more to come?

Now a Palace of Agrabah!? Don’t recall this ever being rumored prior to hearing about it today. Man, my wallet is going to be hurting if it’s movie accurate and Ice castle-type quality. I’ll be picking up all 3, will display wonderfully

Somewhat worried that Merida and Snow White weren’t included in this minidoll set. Not entirely sure but could this be an indicator of what to expect for the minifig castle lineup? Snow White I think we’re getting in a separate set but no Merida would be a bummer especially if Mirabel is thrown in. I get the popularity of Encanto but would really be a miss IMO if they include Mirabel in a princess lineup over Merida (and Snow White) Just saw the set…am I the only one that feels like the set itself was never meant to be a Disney set and they decided to just throw in a bunch of minidolls and relabel the box Same here, but now I’m waiting to see what the Ariel set looks like…if movie accurate and a good looking build I’ll probably end up pulling the trigger on the ice castle and Ariel set

If the printed clock is true, I don’t see any possible way it’s the Disneyland castle, or am I missing something? I mean I personally think it’ll be an updated castle with the new color scheme and will have new themed rooms for the additional characters that weren’t captured in the last one. That’s more than enough change to justify re-releasing such a great selling set. Look how minimal the changes were for the tumbler re-release… Would love some side builds with it but regardless I’m definitely in the day 1 purchase group.

For anyone in the US….majority of Kohls stores seem to have already put out the Disney train and Up house. I can confirm since I just picked up both at my local store

Unfortunately, I’m thinking this will be minidolls. If Ariel’s palace ends up being movie accurate (based on original), I may still grab it, along with picking up the frozen castle. Movie accurate castles would display well side by side, and we do have the minifigs already to accompany them. honestly, the only reason I haven’t already picked up the frozen castle is because it’s the only one of its type so far. Really excited to see what the larger D2C ends up being, my running bet is still that it is sleeping beauty’s castle (with some additional landscape/hub builds). However, ideally, I’d love to get an attraction set or monorail

My guess is because with that robe outfit his tail would be coming out at his feet. I’m not an expert on pieces but I don’t believe there’s a current tail piece that would work and be accurate

Currently on the fence based on what we know so far but if it turns out to be BTAS, it’s an instant buy for me

With a July/summer release date, I reckon we’ll get more details in the near future but I’m starting to think the 43226 500~ pieces will likely be another micro scale build, likely the Disneyland castle with that grey/silver jacket Mickey minifig that was leaked. As much as I’d love a large scale animation based set, or a “through the years” type set that has small dioramas of multiple Disney movies, I would be surprised if the D2C isn’t a park related set solely because there’s currently not one on the shelves. I’d say the Disneyland castle is a pretty likely choice, it’s just odd that it’ll end up being a good deal larger in piece count than the Disney World castle. I like the idea of it maybe containing additional hub builds, including a Walt/Mickey statue (which allows for a unique way to get a Walt minifig). Regardless, so long as it doesn’t somehow contain minidolls, or is some odd art set, it’ll be a first day buy for me. Looking again at the Disney CMF lineups over the past 6 years, I feel like there’s enough characters to easily put together two more series before they begin to just milk it too much, though I truly do think Disney will always sell.
