LEGO Star Wars 2023 Set Discussion - READ FIRST POST!!!
Frizzlefry25 replied to MKJoshA's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Although all speculation I think there will be 4. Trailers show the fang and interceptors battling over Mandalore in a quick scene. (different than previous depicted battle), trailers have also shown a brief glimpse of potential imperial red super commandos. I would bet be we get all mandos, maybe two red super commandos and two blue death watch commandos. Could almost be an army builder with vehicles! Maybe a named character on either side, but that depends on what eventually happens on the show. Maybe Axe or Koska return -

I would have preferred an updated B-wing for May (the last one has been 11 years) to the X-wings 10, and were introduced in Jedi! I know the X-wing will probably sell better, but I need a B-wing! -

It's made worse by seeing Bobs Fetts Microfighter sitting next to it on a shelf for $9.99 with 3 less pieces. 4 pieces if you count Grogu. At least if they retired that, you may not feel as violated. -

Yeah and you can't really count Grogu as a second minifig. I mean there has only been one, and he's been in a million sets. At this point he is basically the same as a 1x1 tile! As far as the snub fighter goes, by itself it's a nice little ship. Doesn't seem anything like the show version. (maybe it was based on an earlier design?) Additionally, even if these pirates show up alot this season, I don't imagine them becoming that popular, or staying in play long term? I guess we will know once the season is over if there was a better opportunity that was missed! -

Man no kidding! $16 for a microfighter?!!! How many Mando's does this make now? 5? With one locked behind a UCS? -

Definitely a nice set, for me personally I would have preferred bringing back this line with a $200-$300 set, and something besides brickheads, before going down the $500 plus path. To many big sets, in too many themes nowadays, but that is just the direction lego is headed. hopefully this thing has legs! -

Man are that Minnie and Mickey going to be exclusive to a Duplo set? That would be a shame! There are non Duplo versions coming of those in something right? -

You should pick up Flynspaces Torment for a midi scale ISD! Definitely intrigued with the SSD Mini, if they ever redid a full size one, I would skip for size and new prices, but this is the type of ship that works well at this scale. I agree with the bad price though, could have been a little bigger, or included a mini figure for display for that price. Hopefully something I can pick up at sale down the road, or later from other stores which tends to happen for some of these exclusive sets sometimes. Only problem is it won't look as good next to FlyInSpace's Venator Midi. I will have to put it next to something else! -
Wow! Another amazing build fly! Nicely done!

$850 AT-AT love it, but skipped it! $600 Razorcrest, glad I had the smaller one, and then upgraded it with a MOC for a lot less than $600, newcoming $650 set, I don't care if it is Jabba's barge, or an iconic location, these prices are insane. I get a one off or two, like the Falcon and Star Destroyer, both Iconic ships with years of history, but dropping yearly sets at these price points has turned me into an admirer instead of a buyer. I will enjoy the speculation, but as a UCS collector I am retired, and I just don't see smaller sets as display pieces. -

I am in the same boat only that was me over the last 5-7 years. I missed out on older sets (thank god actually) because all of the remakes have been better. I got the second falcon, snowspeeder, y wing and other sets and only recently have had to decide on upgrades from my sets. Like R2, and now the X-wing. I would also like to get a new B-wing, Vader Tie, Imperial shuttle etc. But I think I would actually double dip on the X-wing as it has always been one of my favorites. Also while I miss the old $200 UCS Price, I'll take a $240 set over all the $300-$700 sets lately which are just out of control! I think they have been having a good mix of new UCS/MBS/Large sets and upgrades of past ships. -

I actually really like the past x-wing, and while I have avoided double dipping UCS til this point, the X-wing may be a first! -
Marvel Superheroes 2023 - Rumors & Discussion

I realize that Ant Man probably didnt sell well, and I have not been interested in many of the Marvel sets, but I had hoped to finally grab some Ant Man mini figs as I really enjoyed those movies. The first too movies just didn't have alot to make sets from. An Ant with some figs, and the Quantum ship and some figs were about as good as they probably could have done. Not the best sets, but now I wish I had picked one up! You finally have a bigger movie, and by the trailers, all sorts of vehicles, people, items etc in the quantum realm to make some interesting sets, and we get a regurgitated star wars buildable figure (which were always not the best) and a microfig! I mean yikes! -

Man how hard is it to make a Ant Man set with a regular sized Ant Man. If your going to go buildable and micro, throw in the regular fig to complete all three forms!! -

I guess this would be for those who want a full hogwarts versus the more expensive one, or the regular scale sets? I guess there is a market, if it looks good! -

It's a nice looking set, definitely need too see this is person. I know sets have increased alot over the years, but it doesn't scream $500 to me! I feel like there was more to Diagon Ally when it cost only $350 Agree with this! If I buy something big, I want it to be a good display piece, which I think play sets, or MBS are hard to be anyway. Which so many big sets, across multiple themes, I think this will end up a pass. Eventually I will get something to go with the Tower of Orthanc! -

may have missed this, but is Rivendell confirmed as a minfigure scale set, and not micro like Hogwarts was? -

I missed out on LOTR as I have primarily been a display model lego purchaser (Like UCS star wars) but I did pick up the Original Orthanc, but I am not interested in Brickheadz, and Lego drops $500 sets like there candy so I may miss on all of this. Not sure how $500 became the new $200! I hope these do well enough for them to make something I am interested in, or can afford! -
Marvel Superheroes 2022 - Rumors & Discussion
Frizzlefry25 replied to Captain Nemo's topic in LEGO Licensed
Personally I think that with the Marvel line doing well, they tried to turn it into the Star Wars Line with multiple big UCS sets every year. The problem is, Star Wars just inherently lends itself to more large sets, in multiple formats. While the marvel line definitely has that potential too, (I have and love the Bugle), the Sanctum could have used a bit more love, I think they need to choose more carefully. Black panther is awesome, however they could have done a regular helmet for much less and I'm sure it would have done well! Hulkbuster just cost too much, and there are already so many sizes and versions. They should have stuck with a $300-$400 version at most. Star wars had years of standard UCS at $200 before dropping in occasional bigger sets, and even now they are going crazy with multiple larger and expensive sets. I think the Marvel line just needs to pick more carefully and slowly build up those big sets! -
Thats kinda crazy just for the instructions! If I ever sell mine someday, it will be be for everything. Manual, parts, list etc. But I can't let it go!

The Shuttle is one I would be happy to get finally as well, (along with a B-wing and Vader's Tie), I'm just afraid they will drop it at $450-$600 nowadays! -

20% off at lego right now, plus double VIP points and 15% back on Rakuten as it's not exclusive. (thats a pretty good deal) Must be retiring early? -
Well crap! That looks really good! I guess there will be a small project in my future.
