As far as a new Burrow set goes, I’m personally hoping we get a Deathly Hallows version, that includes the slightly spruced up house and wedding tent, rather than another HBP version. The old Burrow set is the only new concept that was tackled in the 2010 wave, the only one that was solely focused on HBP, and arguably the set from that time that has aged the best. I’m not sure how much it could be improved upon in a straight up remake, but a DH1 version would allow for some new elements (and yes we all love Bellatrix, but there are plenty of other places she could appear if Lego gives us a decent number of sets based of the later movies)
-
As other people have already pointed out, there simply haven’t been any sets that they’d fit in yet. During the first series of waves, Ginny only appeared in the CoS set and 2 2010 sets based off HBP. Fred and George only ever appeared in the Diagon Alley set in thier WWW suits. Hopefully, Lego will properly flesh out the sets based off OotP onward, and we’ll start seeing more of them then. (Fingers crosses for a WWW set)

Apparently, she’s a new Toy Story 4 character. So she’s probably from the juniors sets.- 961 replies

They could always take inspiration from the book. IIRC Dumbledore’s Yule Ball robes were purple with moons and stars

LEGO Disney Minifigures & D2Cs - Rumors and Discussion

Had to look in #legonews instead of #legoleaks but I did find it. I’m actually impressed that it seems to have the flower accent, I thought that would be too fragile for them to mold. On an unrelated note, I love how they’re using metallic silver instead of grey on her, it really adds an extra dimension.- 961 replies

Obviously we can’t say for sure, but ultimately I think there’s a logistical reason why the brooms are made out of soft plastic instead of hard. It’s also prudent to remember that minifigure legs have thier limitations, so adding the footrests that the movie props have wouldn’t be of much use. Ultimately, I think the designers would rather use the mold budget on new hairstyles and animals

LEGO Disney Minifigures & D2Cs - Rumors and Discussion

I’m not so sure about that. The reason that Moody/Crouch Jr. and Graves/Grindelwald worked is because the characters kept the same clothes. When the Evil Queen transforms her entire outfit and stature changes as well (like, magically from the potion for some reason, it’s not a change of clothes) - you’d have to have 2 different minifigures. Lego’s likely to just choose one or the other, probably the queen version because her outfit is more visually interesting.- 961 replies

LEGO Disney Minifigures & D2Cs - Rumors and Discussion
Accio Lego replied to Robert8's topic in LEGO Licensed
Don’t put to much stock in the fake list just because it got at least one character right. I’ve had a prediction list I’ve been fiddling with on my phone for months now, ever since series 2 was announced. Hades (and Hercules) have been on that list from the beginning, because of his iconic villain status. There were 4 villains in series 1, that’s a fifth of the series. And it makes sense, the Disney Villains line is basically the Disney Princesses slightly less popular sister, and it has an older demographic than the Princesses, who are more likely to favor minifigures over mini dolls. So yeah, I’m not surprised Hades turned up. (And I won’t be surprised when Mickey and Goofy show up) I wouldn’t be shocked if Jafar turns up too. But you might want to keep an eye out for Cruela DeVil and the Evil Queen, something tells me they’re more likely to rear thier heads than Winston Deavor or Mr. Pricklepants- 961 replies

That could work TBH. The original clock tower set had 3 stories, and while I can see them raising the ceiling on the ground floor for a Yule Ball scene, there’s still at least another floor to fill, and the hospital wing is a nice recognizable room that needs minimal decoration, plus it’s past time they included it in a set, seeing as it’s featured in half the movies and nearly all the books (and I’m sure the only reason Harry doesn’t visit in DH is because he doesn’t let Madam Pomfrey see him after the battle). Lego also doesn’t seem to be shying away from encouraging people to mix and match minifigures and sets to create different scenes (pajama Harry, Quidditch Draco and Luna from the cmf come to mind), so as long as we get PoA casual clothes versions of Harry and Hermione I’m the Hagrid’s Hut set, it would still be possible to recreate the noteworthy scenes.

I agree. There’s been a big resurgence of Harry Potter merchandise recently, and while it’s arguably selling well because the original fans now have kids they’re introducing to the fandom, I doubt most of the manufacturers would have started producing more if it weren’t for Fantastic Beasts. As for the sets, we’re really at the point where official word from Lego is the only thing that will confirm things one way or the other.
-
Oh really... (cause I definitely want more FB sets)

Tbh, if we don’t get her with the Yule Ball figs we’ve seen leaks for it’s probably because they’re saving her for the series 2 cmf. That dress is so iconic they have one as a display piece at the theme park. I don’t think there’s been an actual confirmation of the advent calendar, let alone any specific leaks. However, as far as speculation goes... (this turned into horrendous word vomit, feel free to skip) Lego advent calendars have 24 slots, a handful of which contain minifigures (around 6 in recent years) with the rest of the slots being filled with tiny builds. In the Star Wars calendars, the builds are mostly various vehicles (i.e. spaceships) so I’d expect to see tiny versions of the Hogwarts Express, Knight Bus, and Ford Anglia. Other possibilities are buildings (the Burrow, hagrid’s Hut, shops, sections of the castle, etc.) or tiny brick built creatures like buckbeak or the Basilisk. Plus, the City calendar often includes a husky dog behind one of the doors, so I wouldn’t be surprised if we got Hedwig on her perch or the niffler in a pile of gold. As for minifigures, I know the City calendar recycles torsos and heads from preexisting sets (with Santa being exclusive) and while I don’t know much about the Star Wars ones, I’m pretty sure the recent ones have only advertised a single exclusive minifig each. Harry Potter doesn’t have the same pool of preexisting characters to pull from, but I can see them repeating what they did with Seamus Finnegan, and pairing a generic child head with a uniform torso (let’s be honest, if they did that with all four houses it would be a must have for everyone). Hagrid might be toeing the line on size, but I could see McGonagall being included, and and if you add Fantastic Beasts there’s another set of characters. For unique prints the Weasley sweaters are a fan favorite, particularly if they want the exclusive fig to be a version of Harry.
-
If only. I’m sure we’ll get Lockhart sooner or later (his robes are too fabulous for Lego to pass up on for long) but I have a feeling if we got pixies in the advent calendar they’d just be bright blue nanofigs without wings. If we want proper pixies we’ll most likely have to wait for a cmf. (That being said, Lockhart probably has more outfit variations than any other teacher, who knows how many we might eventually get)
-
I know! First Cedric, Cho and Slughorn and now Fleur. Hopefully, we’ll be getting even more of our favorite missing characters in the waves to come (fingers crossed for Tonks and Kingsley)
-
An actual Yule Ball set is indeed unlikely, especially since the scene takes place in the Great Hall. The way I see it there are a few possibilities 1) the advent calendar rumor is true, and it comes with a full compliment of Yule Ball attendees 2) a ‘battle pack’ with a few Yule Ball minifigures and a small decoration build out of transparent bricks 3) a minifigure 4 pack (whatever Lego decides to call bricktober if they decide to continue it) personaly, I’m hoping for the advent calendar, since the more minifigures involved, the more likely we’ll be to get Ron and Hermione’s dress robes
-
Fleur’s Yule Ball hairstyle is really just a low bun, doesn’t really need a new mold. The Beauxbatons uniform hats, on the other hand, do need a new mold (and frankly they deserve one, seriously that design is a work of art). How hilarious would it be if the first Harry Potter battle pack we got was actually just the champions in thier Yule Ball outfits, instead of the death eaters, 4 house uniforms or Ravenclaw+Hufflepuff Quidditch players we were hoping for (actually that’s not so much hilarious as it is frustrating, but Lego knows we’ll snap it up anyway.)
-
‘The Unexpected Task’ I’m pretty sure it hasn’t been confirmed one way or the other yet. You’re right though, I’ve been wondering since the rumor started whether it would be Yule Ball themed. However, I’m not familiar with the licensed (aka Star Wars) advent calendars - how many unique/new prints do they usually have?

The 2011 Diagon Alley included 3 separate buildings (one of which was actually from Knockturn Alley). The Ollivander’s shop wasn’t very screen accurate either. The promo set includes several more shops (including Weasleys’ Wizarding Wheezes which has never been made in Lego before) and thier conjoined arrangement is far more screen accurate. It’s about as different as you can get when you’re remaking a location that’s already been done.

LEGO Disney Minifigures & D2Cs - Rumors and Discussion

Including things that are on most people’s wishlist/predictions list is just a tactic that the fake leakers use to try and make themselves look real. It just means they’ve gone through a thread like this and found out what we all think is likely. It’s the characters they add from their own imaginations that show their hand (I still can’t get over them thinking anyone would fall for a list with Winston Deavor on it)- 961 replies

A modular series would be fun (although you’ve given my wallet nightmares with that suggestion) but I think we’re more likely to get a single set that focuses on the facades. Basically a scaled up version of the promo set, it wouldn’t be the first time a gift with purchase was a precursor to a full sized set.

Someone pointed out in the comments that the series only has 18 characters and the op immediately claimed that two of the characters weren’t actually going to be in the final line up. Is now mechanically repeating ‘trust me it’s real’ how sad- 961 replies

LEGO Disney Minifigures & D2Cs - Rumors and Discussion
Accio Lego replied to Robert8's topic in LEGO Licensed
Actually the ‘rumored’ list has 21 characters, 3 more than it should, which would be hard to believe even if we didn’t already know it was 18. Some of the characters aren’t even minifigures (Hamm the piggy bank) Also, the first series had 4 Mickey and friends characters, 5 from classic movies, 5 from renaissance/modern movies, and 4 from Pixar movies. I’m not sure if we’ll have the exact same numbers this time around, but I’d still expect more classic characters than just Tigger and Pooh. Hot tip for the next person who wants to make a fake leak, don’t put Winston Deavor as your first character As if Lego would ever use up one of its Disney cmf slots on a minor character in a generic suit- 961 replies

LEGO Disney Minifigures & D2Cs - Rumors and Discussion
Accio Lego replied to Robert8's topic in LEGO Licensed
While Lego couldn’t necessarily predict it last time, we’ve already discussed how the Toy Story 4 juniors sets mean we likely won’t be getting any Toy Story characters in the cmf. They also didn’t hold back with any of the other figs in series 1, always including the main/most popular characters or a hero/villain pair. Which is what makes me think that any ‘obvious’ characters we didn’t get were ones they just didn’t have the budget/room for (like Goofy, Woody, Lilo, etc.)- 961 replies

I’d sort of forgotten about princess Minnie, which is ridiculous because after looking at the pictures on google I’m pretty sure my sister had a princess Minnie plush when we kids. What really struck me though was that the conical hat version could possibly use the same mold as the wizard’s hat on Sorcerer’s Apprentice Mickey. Which could be significant given that I’m pretty sure the reason we got Daisy instead of Goofy last time is because they wanted to stay within the mold budget by reusing some (might also explain why we got the Pizza Planet Alien instead of Woody).- 961 replies
