  1. Since everyone else has been posting guesses/wishlists I thought I’d throw my hat in the ring as well. 1. Harry Potter (polyjuiced as Goyle) 2. Ron Weasley (polyjuiced as Crabbe) 3. Hermione Granger (polyjuiced as cat, NEW hairpiece with cat ears, NEW short cat tail) 4. Luna Lovegood (Quidditch fan [NEW lion hat piece] OR ravenclaw robes) 5. Draco Malfoy (Slytherin robes, NEW ferret piece) 6. Ginny Weasley (Quidditch robes, NEW quaffle piece) 7. Moaning Myrtle (NEW low pigtails hairpiece, Riddle’s diary [undamaged]) 8. Madam Pomfrey (NEW headdress piece, bottle piece in cream w/ printing) 9. Rita Skeeter (quill piece in green, printed tile) 10. Professor Sprout (NEW hat+hairpiece, mandrake) 11. Werewolf Lupin (NEW head piece, satyr legs in grey, possibly Padfoot [dog mold in black]) 12. Tonks (OotP appearance, multiple hair colors+alt face w/ duck bill or pig snout) 13. Justin Finch-Fletchley (hufflepuff robes, cobra piece in black) 14. Gilderoy Lockhart (printed tile with self portrait or NEW pixie piece) 15. Firenze (NEW centaur legs) 16. Young Tom Riddle (monochrome flashback version) 17. Young Newt Scamander (Hufflepuff robes, baby crow [songbird piece in black or dark grey]) 18. Leta Lestrange (printed tile with family tree) 19. Theseus Scamander 20. Young Dumbledore (coat and hat appearance, printed tile with safe house address) 21. Nagini 22. Nicholas Flamel (Moody hairpiece in white, philosophers’ stone or communication book)
  2. Nagini and Skender have both been hinted at having larger roles in future films. Kama’s backstory isn’t really much darker than Harry or Neville’s, and the feather Newt uses to track him or a printed tile with his research into the LeStranges could be accessories. Rosier is just a more visually interesting character that has more fan interest than Abernathy. Oh, I hope the alcohol thing isn’t actually true. I’m not worried about getting Tom the Barman, but Madam Rosmerta is a fun character and Aberforth Dumbledore is actually rather important in the final movie. It might help that despite them all running pubs we never actually see them serving anything alcoholic on screen.
  3. I think that ‘celebrity’ and ‘well known historical figure’ might legally be defined differently in this case - speaking as an American who sees an obnoxious number of cartoon presidents slapped on advertisements during certain times of year... Not to mention the ‘Nicholas Flamel’ of the story might more accurately be considered a fictional character inspired by a historical figure, as opposed to a realistic depiction of the historical figure himself.
  4. Remember, the first series had 22 characters, and if they had to cut it to 16 for whatever reason, I’d expect them to just get rid of the Fantastic Beasts characters entirely, since their sets haven’t been selling as well as the Harry Potter ones. I also don’t think we’re likely to get another Umbridge, we already got her in the bricktober pack and we’ll likely get her in an OotP set too so it would be a wasted slot. Abernathy is way down the likely characters list behind Nagini, Kama, Rosier and even Skender.
  5. Given that there was never a price hike before, even with the Disney series, it’s possible it’s something specific to the DC license for some reason. Otherwise we just have to cross our fingers and hope it hurts sales enough for Lego to put it back before the Harry Potter series releases.
  6. Except Lego has been leaving the more simplified animals behind recently, just look at the new rat mold. Sorry, but it’s impossible for those two animals to share a mold without one or both looking bad. Also - polyjuiced cat Hermione (paired up with polyjuiced Harry and Ron).
  7. Why on earth would they hike the price like that? Hopefully it’s either because of a specific licensing thing or you’re right and Lego will walk the price back by the time the Harry Potter series 2 comes out.
  8. I really don’t think you could do both a ferret and an otter with the same mold. Ferrets have triangular heads while otters have round heads that streamline into their bodies, and otters’ tails are much thicker and longer. They might both be from the weasel family, but they don’t enough alike to pass for one another. I think there’s a decent chance of getting Draco with a ferret in a cmf, but I think Hermione and her otter patronus are much more likely to show up in a DA set alongside other students with their patronuses (Ron and Luna come to mind, since the molds for their animals are small and already exist).
  9. YES. Tonks and Kingsley should have made it into sets ages ago, and the Sprout from 2011 looks nothing like the character - she needs a Trelawney style makeover. The mousy brown haired Tonks from the last 3 movies probably lend herself better to sets. I’d love to get Tonks in a Grimmauld Place set but that appearance, with the hair color changes and goofy face making, really lends itself to a CMF.
  10. The Patil Twins’ Yule Ball robes aren’t actually identical, and I’d much rather get them in a future advent calendar - especially since the don’t really need accessories.
  11. Yeah, Madam Pomfrey is definitely on my CMF list for much the same reasons. Plus, I think the fact that her uniform is, from what I can tell, based very closely off of real nurses uniforms from a century or so ago, might make her inclusion in a cmf appealing to non Harry Potter fans who collect history based figures.
  12. Yeah it does seem weird - I have been wondering about it. That being said, a couple of series 19 figures did leak several weeks before their release, and the checklist sheet for the series along with them. And before that Disney series 2 had Hades’ head leak. I’m guessing the leaker is either someone who only recently got into a position with access to the CMFs, or a DC employee who has access to the figures sent over for marketing and approval purposes. (The second one is definitely a possibility, after all, JKR tweeted a picture of the new niffler piece months before anything else about the rebooted theme was officially announced).
  13. They’ve changed the factory that the CMFs are produced at after the first Harry Potter series came out, and now it seems like they’re leaking much easier. 12 out of the 16 figures from January’s DC series have already turned up on Instagram. So who knows.
  14. Lockhart’s elaborate outfits basically all beg for the extra detail of a CMF, and I’ve wanted them to use the mid legs to make a proper sized professor Sprout since last cmf. If we’re talking about skipped over GoF characters though, I think Rita Skeeter fits the format of a CMF much better, and just think of what they can do with her with all those metallic prints they’ve been using lately :). I suspect that the Weasley and Patil Twins will be saved for sets (in the former case) and future advent calendars (in the later case). Krecher definitely needs a new head mold (his looks nothing like Dobby’s) and your right about the goblin head being sorely in need of updating, but we might need to wait for a Gringott’s set for that. Yeah, the only way we’re ever getting Tom the bartender is if they make a Leaky Cauldron set, but outfit variations of the main trio are guaranteed. I would also say that Ginny, Neville, Luna and Draco were safe bets as well, to round out the ‘sacred seven’ but Lego left Ginny out last time so I’m only really certain about Luna and Draco (who both have very desired alternate outfits). Personally, as far as skipped over characters go, in addition to Lockhart, Sprout and Skeeter, I’m also hoping for Madam Pomfrey, Moaning Myrtle and Lupin’s Werewolf form. And of course Tonks and Kingsley are must haves, but they could easily appear in the next wave of sets. All in all, a good reason to be excited!
  15. Fingers crossed that this is based off real leaked intel and not just another educated guess
  16. Technically speaking Flitwick and Trelawney are minor characters as well, and while Dobby, Cedric, Moody and Cho all play somewhat major parts in specific installments, they’re minor characters in the series as a whole. Being a fan favorite or having fun design elements is far more important for a cmf.
  17. The wedding does get attacked though, Harry and some death eaters might be shoehorned in for some action potential.
  18. Yes! I’ll take everyone in their wedding robes over Ginny in her bathrobe any day. (Fleur’s wedding dress deserves to be immortalized in minifigure form)
  19. I’d prefer anything that gives us more characters. Plus, the Graves situation could have easily been avoided by just having two more characters that were two per box. I think Lego was just a little too enamored with the chase figure idea after the anniversary series, and had the ‘bright’ idea to use it in the following series as well. They haven’t saddled us with it again so I’m guessing they learned their lesson about what fans really think of it.
  20. Given that we got 2 movies with 7 summer sets this year - getting OotP and HBP in two waves of 4 sets each (8 total) actually would be pretty similar numbers wise. I could see it working too. OotP: Grimmauld Place, Hogwarts (DA Room of Requirement), Grawp, and something from the ministry HBP: Inferi cave, Borgin and Burke’s, Weasleys’ Wizarding Wheezes, Astronomy Tower (And if we get the same format as the last two years my money is on the Astronomy Tower and RoR being the same set)
  21. Between is height and the fact that it will need to have to have something that widens the base to make it stable, the Astronomy Tower basically has to be the largest price point set of its wave. Which is why I’d personally rather have Lego do something like they did with the Clocktower this year, and make it a OotP set featuring the DA. After all, there are other potential sets for Death Eater characters to appear in, but there aren’t many more opportunities to give us a bunch of uniform torsos.
  22. I think it’s actually a water horse based off the trailers. But yes, it would make a decent stand in for Ginny’s patronus even if it is a minidoll horse instead of a normal system one (plus I’m not sure if it’s trans blue with sparkles like the stag or just trans blue). That’s especially nice since Ginny’s large patronus is probably the least likely of all the known patronuses to make it into a set.
  23. Honestly the biggest problem of the story for me. Nothing about Voldemort’s characterization suggests this part of the storyline could happen. That being said, I totally would get any sets as well, since I get all the Harry Potter sets and the production design for the play is actually pretty good.
  24. The really irksome thing for me is that they aren’t gender specific in the book. When Harry and Ron refuse to dance at the Yule Ball Parvati and Padma go off to dance with some handsome Beauxbatons boys. And while it’s barely skimmed over there is a throwaway line about a Drumstrang girl (although I can totally imagine Karkoroff being a bit of a sexist and not bringing many girls). It’s the movie that does the schools dirty. I have heard that seeing Cursed Child in theaters is much better than just reading the script. (Which is why I’m actually excited that I’m finally getting a chance to see it in October.) Who knows, a movie adaptation might be just what it needs to get more fans on its side, since most people can’t afford to travel to see the stage production. I also really like the idea of sets based on the different designs of the play. I think the costume designs and different house logos are a really fun aspect, and it would be cool to see them in LEGO form.
  25. Picked up a handful of these today. Got a Gardener, Monkey King, Fox Suit Girl, Mummy Queen, Dog Sitter and Jungle Explorer. Really happy with all of them. I hadn’t really noticed on the renders or review videos but the Gardener has metallic blue eyeshadow and some gold spots in the leopard print on her legs. Love the level of detail.
