the train motors definetely dont have tachs in them they just have a slightly different motor than the pf one in them and the id board with the resistors and a self resetting fuse in them. XG BC

yep but if it has 4 weels it also has to have 4 couplings (of course considering it has no boogie plates). XG BC

you could try adding the motor to the coal tender so it pushes the train just like you do when no motor is attached. the emerald knight set with the motorization according to the instructions isnt working that well either. XG BC

if you have a longer train you could also just put some 1×2 tiles on the studs of the new style magnets. XG BC

I would like such a set too i because can see that with my small cusin he always wants more cars but lego doesnt have seperate cars. This point is really annoying. XG BC

@dagupa I've built your chairlift design but i've modified it to work using this ontop of this as a bullweel it was quite a challenge but in the end it all came together pretty nicely. XG BC

your explenation has explained it to me. I would prefer instructions like the fischertechnik building kits wich have only the parts that are added in colour and the rest is in a very light grey. XG BC

you know what i hate about official lego trains is that they all have yellow bogie plates wich are so ugly if you have a red train. why cant they just produce all of them in black i dont get it. XG BC

Has anyone built a working computermouse (taking the circuit board out of a standart one of course)out of lego yet? I want to build one however i dont know how because the circuit board of the logitech mouse im using is a little bit to big to fit in the lego stud scale. XG BC

i dont thimk there are any issues however if there for some bizarre reason are,you could always just build the newer style couplings into the old train cars. XG BC

i dont really like the balljoint couplings either. i think they would fit on a more „special“ train like a monorail. one advantage the balljoint couplings do have is that they make a more solid connection so if you have many train cars they dont decouple. XG BC

this is really weird when i search BR 203-112-8 this pops up on google images: this is a completely different loco. thats why i thought moving the cocpit two studs would look better now i think moving it one stud forward is enough. XG BC

if you wanna prank the people wich are still using pf ir you could do the same you could just bring a train remote controll and press stop on every channel. But the bluetooth system has some other problems aswell. however i dont suggest pranking people because you could destroy their work by crashing the trains XG BC
