LEGO Star Wars 2019 Set Discussion - READ FIRST POST!!!

Yes, and the mustang had no minifigures. Not sure how much of a difference that makes but a torso piece has to be more expensive to produce than your average 2 x 4 I've never had stickers fall off, with the exception of the stickered torsos they used to do, but I have had worn prints/stickers where the extra detailing is faded. I really like that tantive IV mini model, I'm gonna try to get one. -

True. I don't like having to put on large stickers, but that's mostly due to my inability to put them on right. It keeps costs lower, makes it possible to get more parts as you said, and produces roughly the same effect as printing. As to the complaints that the cockpit should have been brick built, leo couldn't really have kept it at that size and still had interior space if it was brick built. And lego always has cockpits in their ships, with the only exception I can think of being star destroyers. The majority of people who purchase the sets are children, or adults for their children. We make up a very small portion of their customers, and appealing solely to us will hurt their profits. And I see no reason why you see no reason that people cannot express their annoyance at lego fans always finding something to gripe about. "adult slots" don't exist, UCS is targeted to collecters and adults as well as children, sure, but assault on hoth is the exception, not the rule, and the MBS was created to deal with complaints that it "wasn't UCS" -

Thank you. I feel like the only thing lego could do to make some of these AFOLS happy is making sets so cheap they'd lose money and having all of them be 501st battlepacks. Same here Well Alden said he was signed on for 3 solo movies, so you never know when someone's going to slip. -

I hope so, but no official word. The juniors one may have been to get rid of surplus/lower cost, and the snowspeeder one could have something to do with the helmets not fitting in the current snowspeeder canopy. Might be those reasons, might be that they abandoned them. Personally, I skew towards the former, if only because lego never seems to listen to AFOL opinion. We don't make up the main fanbase, after all. lol. Every 10 years, and the tantive IV was 2 of them. But i don't know if I'd count 1999, as it was before UCS as a subtheme was made. Well, some should go buy it from that lego store that leaked the y-wing. Honestly, I expect most of the bottom middle will be antistuds, so it shouldn't be too hard to make a stand. -
If you think we'll ever get that horrifying blue and purple hawkeye costume in lego besides a comic-con exclusive or mighty micros, you're crazy. Vision would be pretty bland compared to the MCU one, and the new headpiece required for a comic scarlet witch makes it unlikely we'll get her, either. I agree that one set per show sounds right, also we need to remember that these shows will come out at different times so it won't be like a "disney+ wave", but scattered releases alongside movie or spiderman waves. I haven't heard those rumors, and will remain skeptical because we've had over 20 star wars disney+ shows "rumored" at one point or another, but a she hulk and hulk show would be awesome, and a nice way to get around the hulk solo movie rights. Now we just need a proper MCU daredevil on disney+ and we can have some MCU court battles. I disagree as well, I'd rather have the MCU designs over comic ones, as I said above.

Idk if they'd do scarlet witch's comics costume, but yeah it would be cool for that headpiece alone. A vision might come off a simple after that amazing civil war one, but would still be nice. You're right about falcon and winter soldier, but hopefully i one of them assumes the mantle of captain america in their show (which I assume is the premise), we'll get a figure. Unless it's a falcon and it's too close to the comic con design.

I think the point here is that this is a ship that kids can just barely get as, like, their only birthday present from all their relatives or something they save up for for a while. But either way, I think the set looks good, and this isn't supposed to be a MBS type set, its supposed to be a vehicle set along the lines of the y-wing from may 2018 and the snowspeeder from may 2017. See a pattern? Edit: this is a UCS in all but name. Yes, they made sets for both of the recent battlefronts, although the second one took a while. I could see a small set with kal and either 2nd sister or the guy with the magnaguard staff, maybe his droid and a trooper too. For the mandalorian I have no doubt we'll see something, maybe even 2-4 sets. And zuckess will be in the smallest one, no doubt. Now that i saw the trailer, I not only have renewed hope in the franchise, but cannot wait for the sets. The new hero costumes, a new falcon with lando, something from that fallen death star, , and those skiffs. -
I think so as well. Black widow probably won't get more then 1 or 2 sets, since the only times we ever really got a wave with more than 2 sets for solo movies were iron man 3 and civil war, which had most avengers in it anyway. And i think that the eternals might not get many either, as it's a completely new cast of characters and seems like a risky move to make a ton of sets for. (although we did get GOTG sets) Even if both movies get a wave, we'll see something from each series, even if it's just a polybag of kate bishop, or a spiderman set with the scarlet witch design from wandavision. I think that could be cool, but without a movie/tv show presence they might not sell too well unless it's really well known ones like wolvierine and deadpool, and we apparently can't have deadpool. As much as i want to see minifigures of colossus and shatterstar and the like, I'm not sure we'll get anyone but wolvierne and the original team until they appear in the MCU. Cool that you got most of them, I only have enough to fill 2 rows, including War machines and QR iron man. I'm missing most of the earlier ones and the space/sea ones. NYTF only had 125 made, right? Only 125 of us can have the true full hall of armor lol.

Completely agree. Everyone always complains about lego being overpriced and exclusive figures in expensive sets and whatnot, but it's really not that bad. So was I, maybe with a 20th stormtrooper or something But i can still hope for rebel friend to make a physical appearance -

Yeah, it's weird. Do we have anything on a may the 4rth polybag? Hoping it's not a build like the last few years. dang this week? Be ready for trailers for the 5000 things coming out to overanalyze. I've heard rumors that the OG bounty hunters will be in the mandalorian and now I'm waiting for Zuckuss to show up in some $20 set the second I buy my slave 1. -
No you're right its the mk 43. The avengers tower only appears in AOU (Ok also homecoming but it's clearly not the mk 47 and it didn't have avengers logos in homecoming.) The "avengers" branding is more of a 10 years thing, as well as the mk 7, a much more iconic suit than the 43. (Why couldn't this have been a full mk 3 or 4 suit?) I do want that fig, would look great on the gantry of my HOA with tony's hair I thought his sword was double-bladed in the movie? At least in the funkos it is.

Yeah, the semicircle is better then a grid/plate design. I find it amusing that they manage to get all of spiderman's garbage vehicles from the wave into this trailer. Hopefully this is a one-time thing and we can go back to actual good sets for comics marvel sets. That looks awesome, I might use that myself in my own collection if that's ok.

Yes, they have lots of different iterations throughout the games, comics, etc. I think the 2008 ones are from the comics, and the 2015 ones were some made-up design by lego, but the new ones are from battlefront like you said. I hated those troopers in the 2015 battlefront. Those flashbang grenades were so frustrating. What are you talking about? We all need an army of 15 or so vintage han solo minifigures with massive 20th anniversary back prints!
