LEGO Star Wars 2019 Set Discussion - READ FIRST POST!!!
Mandalorianknight replied to Stash2Sixx's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Saw gerrera, galen erso, endrio two-tubes etc. But i was thinking more about solo for the figures, as we need dryden, the literal main villain of the film, l-337, a major character, along with other less prominent characters. For rogue one it's more so sets we need, such as the cargo shuttle, hammerhead corvette, raddus's ship, the at-act, the tie reaper, etc. The only set I can think of that we're really missing for the prequels is what, the invisible hand? I'm sure there's more but none with as much screen time as the cargo shuttle or at-act. And as i said earlier, even in their first few years all the prequels got more sets than rogue one -
That's what messed me up, I got worldwide and big time mixed up, as he "hit the big time" so to speak in that arc. any normal spider-man head, the 2015 miles morales torso, black legs, black or red/black dual molded arms, and the iron spider robot arms but use red instead of gold. Torso is slightly different, but it's still pretty close.

All of the figures are from sets that aren't meant to be for rogue one or appear in other movies though. The tantive IV was mainly in ANH, merrick was in an advant calender, and vader's castle featured an exclusive minifigure based on a VR game, so it might not be meant to be representing RO. We also have had 12 rogue one sets, including polybags, in the three years since it's release. Phantom menace had 20 in it's first three, AOTC had 13 in it's first 2 years, and ROTS had 20 in it's first 3. All three have those have also had 15-20 more years of sets, so i'd say rogue one needs more sets than the prequels -

I hope so, those battle playsets are garbage. I bought one to test and for the new scout trooper, and it's so overpriced. I was just confused as it seemed a weird thing to do since it was the only new mold. Also, I wan't here when the video came out so I didn't know. -
Are the other minifigure packs? I think they all release together so it might just be a glitch. There are 3 mcu films in 2020 from what i've heard. I think if we got zemo as an antagonist we'd see his comics costume at some point, of course definately MCU-ified. Maybe he goes insane after he hears in jail that the avengers are united again? I'll try, but I've got some personal stuff going on so it might be awhile Yeah I think so. I would like to see that too, not a dc fan but i do admire how they added all those other figures, like shazam. Silver sable isn't a terribly hard custom, but yeah even classic ones like the lizard that we haven't gotten yet could show up.

meanwhile Rogue one and solo continue to get nothing despite the many figures we need and sets they could make. Sometimes i agree with the people who say there's too much new content coming out. Hey remember like a year ago when we saw that new mold for the TLJ Fathier in that video made by lego? Was that just a one-off for the video or did we ever get anything else? -
Sorry. Anyway, my point there is that that version of spider-man was the one in the comics where he had parker industries, and as a result there were many spider-gadgets and vehicles, lending a weird sort of accuracy to the sets. I wouldn't consider the bricklink listings evidence of how well it sold, but I don't think it sold well either. Too basic and unexciting of a build, and no exclusive super characters, so kids won't want it, and too inaccurate for (most) adults to want it. The FFH minifigure pack is the only set that we know of that will be releasing later this year.

These aren't confirmed by lego or even "confirmed", the post after it is questioning the cost of one of the sets, they have star destroyer listed too despite there being no real evidence, leading me to think the "(set name)" part is a suggestion. Also, one of their "ep9" sets is listed as "buildable yoda" and another one is just called "location playset" with no reference to episode 9, so that could be one. -
In the comic arc called "big time", Peter owns parker industries and has spider-themed vehicles and gadgets for his "bodyguard", spider-man, who wears the suit we later see in the january 2019 sets, called the "big time" suit. I like the eating face, but it's not a $15 piece for me. I'll save it for when I need to go over for a GWP

I think we'll have to see how big the merchandise/marketing is for those properties, but I would expect a few small mandalorian sets, like rebels/resistance, and maybe just one fallen order set releasing at a later date if the battlefront and battlefront 2 sets are anything to go off of. I'm of the same opinion though, the IX sets don't interest me. -
yeah, and the fact that that's the closest we have shows that we really need an official lego one. I'm gonna be honest, even with a color change I don't see it. Do you mean the one from endgame and GOTG or the sanctuary 2 from infinity war and ragnorak? yes, unless lego marvel has some pretty major surprises in store for us. To be honest nothing short of another endgame wave would generate interest from me though. The MCU's next movie is may 2020, so don't expect any 2019 sets for black widow, eternals, of whatever they have in the works for that year. Somewhat unrelated, but do you guys think we'll only get spidermen in the spider-man line, or could this possibly be a way to keep fallen heroes on shelves, like we could get If you look at the batman line so far it's had more heroes, like tie-ins for aquaman and shazam.

Exactly. If they want to hint something it wont be a vague silhouette or a star destroyer image that "looks off" -

I'm not sure what you see with the star destroyer, but that harry potter game came out over a decade before the "ucs" hogwarts, in which time the theme was cancelled and revived, so I doubt it had any sort of correlation to the set. The star destroyer rumors like this are less then rumors, and why sites report that there may be a set coming when in reality there is literally no evidence to suggest that. -

It's too early for anything concrete on IX sets, we got the january wave pictures in what, november? It'll be augest to september before we see any leaks. -
So the distribution for these packs was a fiasco, and they were made for toys r us and only released because they already had them planned. I'm fairly sure bricktober, at least as a promotion but probably overall, is dead. I only use pure, unchanged lego, no custom printing/moulding/etc but good for you, i've seen some good customs of her online. At this point I will accept that rescue is a non-nanotech mk 49. I didn't hear anything about amazon promotions though, maybe they mentioned it and we just missed it. Spider man pack is real i guess, but it's not the ditko suit. Not sure wether or not I'll pick it up.
