  1. What does everyone have against those chitauri? Their faces are more accurate, as well as the guns. This is literally exactly my experience and thoughts. I see alot of opinions on what lego will/won't do with the spider-men, I think we'd get the stealth suit in the smallest set as it wouldn't need dual molding/arm printing, and then a stark suit in the middle one (with a peter parker if they're generous, and the red/black suit (Can we get a name for that?) in the most expensive one because it's the best, or at least needs the most printing and molding, to work right. Going further into the speculation rabbithole, I could see a civilian , stealth suit, and/or nick fury in the fire set, depending on wether molten man will be a build, for hydro man set stark suit, parker, and/or civilian, possibly mysterio, and maybe a hydro man once again based on whether or not he's a build. (there would probably be only 3-4 figures). The "stark plane" is tougher, but I think it's likely to see black/red suit and full mysterio (he'd have a helmet and everything), the wind elemental , and maayyybe the earth one? Or possibly happy hogan, he was in a plane in the trailer. I don't know, I'm probably wrong but just my thoughts.
  2. lol. I also skipped the other two for being ST, but I'll skip this one too, especially if the other certain unmentionable UCS set rumor turns out to be true. My wallet needs some time to recover.
  3. Definitely not opaque, I would think we could get the transparent sandy cheeks/Mr Freeze mold in a set with a trans light green head. That way we get the neck element less visible but don't have to use opaque pieces. Also, a lot of people seem to be assuming that he will have a helmet mold as well as a head and hair. I'm just pointing out that it is pretty uncommon for characters to get a helmet and hair, especially if they are not tony stark. But I guess ant-man has both in the endgame sets so who knows?
  4. I would totally buy that figure. It is weird that he is so off, you'd think that if nothing else that face print would be LESS complicated then the less accurate official version. I don't think lego "needs to some how put in a set" the stormtrooper variants without helmets. We've had so many advances in minifigure design but still have many older figures without new variants. Zam wessel still has yellow flash, for one thing! Jango Fett didn't get the updated helmet introduced in 2010 until 2013. I'm sure there's tons of other examples as well.
  5. Thank you! Lego would never do that when there are existing molds that actually resemble mysterio. I personally believe and hope for a fishbowl, so we can get molds for things that we will need more, but hey, I guess we'll find out soon. So for the spider-men, are we getting a different one in each set? I feel like lego will use the homecoming suit so they only have to put the black and red one in the most expensive set. I know there is a stealth suit but I can't see that being in 2 either.
  6. His helmet does seem a little small compared to the piece, but I don't think it's that noticeable. i'd rather get other new molds in this theme like a ronin helmet or BALD THANOS
  7. Oh yeah I forgot who I saw that from but I watched a video on it. I don't know, it sounds plausible, but that's what makes me think it's fake. it combines the "brick built figure" trend with the re-release trend. It's definitely not confirmed though. Yeah that sounds right based on what I remember. i think it has something to with the movie wave. Although you can switch up those hunters pretty well to make cantina patrons that don't all look like copies of each other. This is kind of off topic but will action battles be replacing microfighters as the star wars theme's gimmick? I'll be sad to see them go if so, I never liked the idea but they made it easy to get desirable figs and/or good parts. I know the ski speeder one made it so much easier to fully crew the resistance bomber.
  8. I fins a clear head works quite well as long as the "neck" of the torso isn't too offputting. My personal favorite look is the sandy cheeks fishbowl with a trans light blue head underneath, makes the "neck" of the torso much less visible and more smokey, like his head under the helmet. Sorry for my comment earlier, I got a little excited and thought you meant about to leak as in the next few minutes. i can't figure out how to add a quote in an edit but balrogofmorgoth it could be like the ball in the bionicle/hero factory guns but with a hole for the neck
  9. YES! Do you know who? all I see is shazam.
  10. Maybe, but a stud shooter specifically as opposed to a pistol or something seems weird as this isn't a battle pack. Eh, maybe on the back box art of the set it shows what the function with it is so we know what it represents. No, I don't think there's been anything to suggest that. The action battles seem more play-oriented and less for army building, as well as more expensive.
  11. Nice! So now we wait. We're close to an official reveal if infinity war sets were anything to go by. I believe one could say it's almost that we're in the endgame now.
  12. Yes, at least we'd get something at the same scale as the rest of our collection. And I was more so joking about him being the polybag, but looking back on it we did get a normal first order stormtrooper. But yeah, we should wait for concrete information.
  13. I meant more so polybags in general, as we have the 20th podracer and the naboo starfighter. Oh god no watch stormtrooper han be the may the 4th promo.
  14. Sadly those remain in the EU. I imagine Vonreg's TIE was (the producer of clone wars, rebels, resistance) Filoni's way of paying tribute to them. yes. Now we just swap them with our AAT pilots that are just normal or pilot battle droids and we get more accurate droids Someone's actually managed to get their hands on a captain antilles and is selling it on instagram. it looks like he comes with a silver pistol.
  15. I agree with you that we need the OT interceptor and bomber, but I think that the TIE looks rather nice. Overpriced and going to sell terribly, along with black ace and possibly the action battle sets? Without a doubt. Hot garbage, I'm not so sure.
  16. Thank you for clearing that up. I don't believe they will do that. We already know the polybag, that spider-crawler thing with the 2012 spider man, and I find it highly unlikely that they will create 3 new suits, in addition to the one from homecoming used in this movie. Also, keep in mind that toy had a spider-plane thing, so it may not be the place to look for screen-accuracy
  17. I do like how leia looks now. The Tantive IV theory still has legs to stand on as Antilles would never be in anything but that, Yavin 4 , or the advent calendar, the latter 2 we can tentatively rule out. Storm trooper han probably isn't from a polybag as we know those now, but he could be from something else or just fake. There's no new pieces or prints, after all. Also anyone else confused as to why Rey has a heckin stud shooter in the duel set?
  18. That's what I'm thinking. Even with 2 bigfigs we still need lots of big parts in the set to make it be worth it. (although based on known minifigures alone people will buy it anyway.) I could see a Facade of part of the main building or something like the helicarrier where it's a synecdoche, as you say. with this rumored D2C could micro ant-man be from that? It would be pretty ironic if there was some sort of micro-scale compound or something and he's included representing him at full size in micro scale :). Just a thought.
  19. Some new polybags have leaked of it and the naboo starfighter. We might see a GWP with the 20th wave then. Podracer looks ok to me, but I don't like the naboo starfighter just because we get SO MANY micro or minifigure scale sets of that thing. Anyone know if the resistance and action battle sets come out on april 20th too or will those be a different time?
  20. I think you are spot-on there, but I still hope we get a tony and a rescue in the armor room set. Most of your likely figures make sense, but i have to dispute War Machine Mk 6 as he appeared already in the wave and Isn't the most popular character. I personally think we'll see the original 6, the other confirmed figures, and captain marvel. Rescue may not have a big enough role to appear at all, only time will tell. (though i hope we get one!!!) I hadn't thought of that! I only bought the smallest one, so I can get the venom mech one (That spider crawler still has no value to me) and some SW battle packs or outrider dropship attacks and I've got the bricktober pack! Thanks!
  21. Thanks. I'll probably buy the endor set then.
  22. Or you'd think that they'd just suck it up and release it as a retail item or something. This weird mix of GWPs and stuff coming out at all different times can't really be helping them. I guess maybe they'd get money from all us US citizens in the newest GWP from their older stock if the endgame sets don't come out then, but still, a GWP along with endgame sets would make so many more people buy them. With the promo being as it is, I would just buy it from bricklink or ebay, except it's about as expensive to do that as it is to spend the $75.
  23. Yeah. I'm struggling to think of something to buy, I might just buy $75 of something and sell it on bricklink :). Although I have absolutely no idea why they wouldn't release this pack alongside the endgame sets, as it feels like the perfect opportunity. Unless they make Iron man and DUM-E a GWP to make it impossible to get a ton easily, in which case I would actually give some credence to lego doing cashgrabs. Especially since it seems that we will never get a MK5, I NEEEEEEEED THOSE FIGURES!!!!!! Oh and I was thinking that it wouldn't be that they adjusted the wave release to go alongside the bricktober pack but that they always planned to release them march 1st. The sets are apparently at least in storage at some Uk stores already, based on the one that was found on shelves, so I can't see them waiting to release that long.
  24. 1. Nice use of the chicken spongebob meme 2. the point made in that these are designed for kids is that kids will not care if something is a little blocky/disproportionate/etc because the main feature most kids like from lego star wars is swooshability and play value. I am hopeful that with action battle sets play features won't obstruct normal sets as much, because they already would have a specific line of sets that are completely for play value. However, I understand your criticism. I guess I should say it's not so much that it's meant for kids then that it is meant to be played with, so they have to make some sacrifices to get the model to, y'know, explode when hit with a technic cannon. It can be tiring to see people complain so much about something that isn't meant to be there in the first place. These aren't the hoth sets for people who want detailed sets. Those are sets like the 20th snowspeeder, hoth attack, and the full AT-ATs that lego has made. You are entitled to your opinion, of course, but you have to remember that you aren't the target audience of sets like this, and therefore cannot expect them to all appeal to you specifically.
  25. Yeah I didn't realize how expensive they were. Major Vonreg's TIE is waaaaaay to much for what is shown, even with the new molds, and black ace is also strangely expensive. I don't get why resistance is so expensive. There are a few new molds, but other than that nothing even helps contribute to the price hike. And action battle endor is $30? the $60 hoth I can see, but not the others. Eh, I'll buy it anyway for the scout trooper and printed tiles.
