LEGO Star Wars 2019 Set Discussion - READ FIRST POST!!!
Mandalorianknight replied to Stash2Sixx's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Yeah, the resistance show is for children so far, but the designs are pretty cool. Hopefully they'll make the fireball (the greenish ship with a similar design to a z-95) soon. -
I know, I might actually use it on my captain marvel who currently has stark suit legs because I think it would look better there. Of course, I have to get a spidey to do that, so does anyone know of any way to get iron spider 2018 for less than $12 or so? Yeah, this isn't a leak guys, though I'm sure lego will do something similar. Does anyone have any respect of the two-week rule here? Not everyone can see it the day it's released like you or me.

Well. I've somehow started a war. Personally I prefer the newer cockpits and think they're sleeker and more accurate, although I agree with Robianco about the advanced canopy. This is starting to evolve away from our already small tangent of relativity of the resistance tie interceptor so I think it's best we scuttle this topic or move it to a different thread before the mods scuttle it for us. -

so do i At least with the solo one, the wings are basically just color-inverted ones from the first order special forces one. If you're referring to the cockpit, it looks accurate to the Solo-ANH-ROTJ fighters to me, which is what the solo one is representing. Fighters like the striker and advanced x-1 had more modern, curved designs because it reflected the ship more, at least I think that's why. Lego can't make stick-thin wing to cockpit connections or the fighter will break. -
I'm a purist, but with the exception of the web-line printing on the feet, which I find offputting when compared with the official figures, even if it is more accurate, if you had told me that was a leaked official figure I would have believed it. They've had pinholes in pieces that don't require them before, the only one that comes to mind right now is the turban piece but I'm sure there's more. It's possible that could be used for captain marvel, but I wouldn't hold my breath. Thanks, good to know.

The possibility of this set has already been discussed, and this was just you being obnoxiusly rude. I've seen the movie, and the only thing here impressive is how much of a jerk you are in managing to fit that many spoilers in without a tag. I sincerily hope you're banned, as I know how many people here must have been upset by you spoiling the movie.

Technic cannons are the best, although that may just be my raging inner bionicle fan. They are great features for kids, and I think that's what lego wants them to be, just playsets for kids. Maybe this means we'll get some sets where play value isn't as intrusive, maybe not, but it'll be interesting to see if these sell well or not. -
a guy in the US, brickathon, has 26 of the figure these come on for 3.15 each. Not cheap, especially for people not in the us, but if you need to add that bit of detail better order fast, no one else has a quantity of 9 or more. Personally I'm not even doing anything with my quantum suits, I might put the parts on my bricklink or something, because they were in the movie for so little time and we don't have the helmets.

I'd still rather have the one that looks less cartoonishly big, even if it's not as spot-on accurate. Yeah I made the mistake of purchasing that endor shooter game set and the scout helmet is the only redeeming feature, I wish it flipped up but even without that it's a great element -
Yeah, it seems like a good choice for a set to me. Kind of like that one man of steel set with superman and zod for like $13, or the bvs set, etc. Sets with tiny building/terrain/vehicle builds and good figures. It looks to me like the normal cat piece and they brick-built a stand under it that holds up the flerkin part

I agree, it's hideous I think the rebel pilot helmet it disproportionate and oversized, but I think with the stormtrooper helmet it does look better, especially with the duel molding. Nah the helmet just looks super disproportionate -
If they ever made a MCU CMF series that would have to be the FFH figure. Or more likely, the comic con exclusive for 2020 THAT scene could be a little dark, although a certain scene-exclusive character variant would be an amazing figure. I think if we get another set alongside the endgame wave it'll be

Wait, they updated R2-D2? impossible. I feel like it ends up being a similar build in the end, and while I appreciate them changing the engines to be more brick-built, the front is so much worse than the 2014,2017 versions. I'm just saying that if they made (non-juniors, actually good) $30-40 x-wign and tie fighter sets, almost all children would rather have luke's x-wing than his landspeeder. Niether are worth the price, this'll be the first $25-30 small location set I pass on -

That would have been nice to give SOME effort to these, both very skippable. Of course, we seem to get these more and more often so who knows? And to anyone justifying this by saying it's a popular hero vehicle, if lego made a midi-ish scale falcon, x-wing, etc that could fit a figure, it would sell much better than a landspeeder with no weapons or play features for children, which is their target audiance with this, so But hey, at least kids can have luke shoot at tuskens and artoo get ambushed by jawas....if they buy the other set too. He'll be in the 2020 summer wave lol, by 2023 we'll have microfighter landspeeder, ucs landspeeder, and post-snap landspeeder. Yay. -
Exactly like that cable ripoff. Heck, you could even go as far as thanos and darksied, though I personally don't see it besides the basic appearance and jim starlin. One of my favorite examples of this is marvel creating a pseudo justice leaque but making them dictators and villians. The squadron supreme is great as a way of mocking dc. This is I think the most accurate timetable for leak releases, with figure/mold leaks in late augest/early septemer and the actual sets leaking shortly before an official announcement in october Yes, I've avoided spoilers thus far and would like to keep it that way until I see the movie, as I'm sure everyone else in this thread feels.

It does, but I'm not sure about a double-sided face since he's probably going to be wearing a first order cap that doesn't cover the back of his head fully, unless they're making him a new hat mold or giving him hair, which I doubt. It could be from that Friends set they're making, or maybe there's more to pryde than we've seen and we'll get a figure of him with hair or a different helmet. At least this increases the chances of a mandalorian set, I guess. I agree, this is what, the 3rd luke's landspeeder in 6 years? At least give us a more interesting side build than "jawa in a cave" And the kenobi homestead is garbage and won't sell well at all, seeing as most would only buy it for figure/completion and luke comes in the smaller landspeeder in the same wave, and r2's in just about every set ever made ever, so this will be a shelfwarmer for sure. -
hmm... if you need leg printing or dual molding I'd go with either the "guard" characters' legs from the fallen kingdom sets or "gcpd officer 1"'s legs from TLBM's sets. There's no canon character based on this guy, so these are just things I think would look nice. At least the hulk set, probably all of them, don't release until november 25th i believe. Based on the previous endgame wave, we'll see images in october. At the very least, expect the TROS sets to be officiall revealed before we get any solid leaks of endgame wave 2 sets. As others have said, the abraxan would be easy to make too. My hopes still lie with bald thanos and the big three though.

So you're telling me there's a chance? Yeah most things are rumors at this point I hope we get some solid information (and hopefully a bigger set) soon. Going on last year, no. However, there is no secrecy around endgame this time, and although they still hid the spider-man sets, it's possible we could get news about the other sets at D23. Hey, it's possible we could even have that wave coming out at the same time as endgame's eventual full rerelease. At least where I live they had the origional still playing in theatres when the "relrelease" came out, and seeing as they aren't going to beat avatar with this one, maybe they'll wait until, say, late november to do a full rerelease with more extra footage than 19 seconds of It took us awhile to get the spider-man leaks for the sets releasing around the venom mech, so I think if we're going to see anything soon it'll be an official announcement.
